Delighted to see all the comments! I'm the driver in the Peugeot and what a sweet memory it was! For those who are interested, I will be racing an Audi RS3 in next month's TCR Asia Challenge in the Macau Grand Prix!

Normally I'd be really annoyed when there's music played over the engine sounds (especially the E46's straight-6) but this beat somehow fits the action perfectly!

@@Nolkyo Why do you say "though"? It is indeed a 320i and they were widely used in the WTCC. I've heard them live at the Zandvoort racetrack in the early 2000's and was instantly mesmerized by their beautiful straight-6 soundtrack!
@@Svensson81 My bad then maybe they got some nice engine tune but as far as I've heard them live they are far less sexy than the 3 liter version on the 330i

I had e46 325ci and it rocked.
I had a 306 gti 6 17 years ago. Brilliant motor. I now drive an E46 M3. Wanted both like crazy and was fortunate enough to be able to own both.
Peugeot in 90s motorsport really has that Taxi vibe, I like to imagine the 306 is in that iconic super touring car inspired white taxi spec lol
Yeah, I'm pretty sure peugeots from the taxi movies were heavily inspired by the touring cars of that time.

A legend says that Daniel got onto the track in his 406 by accident again, that he was somewhere behind them and was slowly catching up to them.

Superbe ! Ça rappelle très très bien la dernière scène de Taxi entre les Mercedes 500E et la 406, y’a le même feeling, tout est revenu d’un coup! Les plans choisis sont superbes, ceux depuis l’intérieur de l’E46 me rappellent énormément le film, j’adore!
D'où le montage des deux c'est venu quasi immédiatement dans ma tête il y a 5ans maintenant

In case you don't know about the movie, this music was used for a car chase between a Peugeot 406 V6 and some Mercedes E500 in the old french movie "Taxi". So it fits perfect here.

Peugeot sait faire des châssis. BMW des moteurs.
Le souci pour les BMW, c'est que la plupart des circuits ont des courbes, des chicanes, des virages... C'est pour cela que le palmarès BMW en matière de rallye est assez pauvre face à Peugeot.
Les départs au feu rouge et les autoroutes, c'est bien mais ce n'est pas le circuit.

Agreed. Things like GT3 cars look great but they're so boring to watch. ABS brakes, traction control, super sticky tyres, good aero etc makes the cars look so placid even if they're going pretty damn quick.

I wonder how a 330i would've got on.
Mid size sedans at the time had much better suspension than hatches and hot hatches, Peugeot was lighter and I bet they had some rules to keep cars about same engine power.
I was amazed that BMW was gaining mostly in the brake zones...and somewhat im the cormers. It was being left behind on the straights though.
Man those 306 driver really talented no matter how good or bad the car is ❤️
