these iracing graphics are getting really good thank god those class d got out early
Agreed
Bruh they already running unreal engine 10
Yeah didn't even know they added cutscenes into the game
Sir this is a wendy's
Think I need to upgrade my graphics card
Always boggles my mind that these videos get less views than the sim racing content. This is the end game - it's what all the sim racing was building toward!
Not all sim racers want to be real racers.
I'm curious to see the avg age to compare these. Personally I don't follow Jimmy, not a fan, but I enjoy "behind the scenes of racing" videos like this one. But I guess the teenagers out there are not interested in the real thing, most of them probably are not even interested in simracing. They have their interest on Jimmy. And it's in his simracing videos where the jokes, etc, happen more.
@@VeryIntellijent Then why comment?
If the elites have their way it will all be sim racing in the metaverse, no petrol, no electric just plugged into the matrix 24/7....
There's this antient chinese story about a man who is obsessed with dragons. Had every piece of the best drawings, sculptures, literature, basically everything ever that has a dragon theme. One day a dragon decided to meet the man after finding out about him but the man was scared to death and couldn't even say a word. The story later goes on to become an idiom "葉公好龍" to describe people who only enjoy the idea or the appearance of something but not to the fullest, and is somewhat pretentious.
Essentially, the uber casuals.
I was honestly so surprised the leaders didn’t get meatballed for the door falling off seems like a bit of a safety concern
Yeah that was weird massive safety concern having debris on track plus a driver exposed to debris with no door but great result from jimmer and the rest of the team
Why what was dangerous about it? The cars have a full carbon tub and enclosed cockpit and are probably safer than most open cockpit cars
@@stujames4078 Not fully enclosed if the door is missing
@@MrTomWaffles lol I think you've missed my point that even a partially enclosed cockpit is probably safer than a formula car with zero cockpit
@@stujames4078 it's a funny ass comment though you can't lie LOL
The episode during which Jimmy "Gets gud" at the high speed stuff.
After all the struggles last season, it's really great seeing you guys find some success this early.
1st race this year wasn't exactly a breeze either 😄
Gitting gud by the best method possible: Stopping being shit!
Congratulations
Jimmy… this is grassroots excellence. Combining the televised coverage with high quality in-car footage, splicing in interviews and voiceover, this IS the dream
Shoutout to the broadcast commentator, he does a great job in my opinion (well except for calling Jimmy "UK's top sim racer" :D)
It's Dave Goddard.
Jimmy will be the first to admit he is not the quickest, but since he said 'top', not 'best', I'm confident the commentator is referring to popularity, not performance.
Dave is just a delight to listen to through all the races on the BARC channel. Class act
Yeah, everyone knows it should be "Somalia's top sim racer"
Can people watch this live outside UK or is it behind a pay wall? I haven't really watched any motorsports (WRC or F1 etc.) live in ages but the Praga cup seems worth watching, specially with Jimmer in the race.
gotta love it when Jimmy uploads irl racing shits so sick
I can only imagine how happy the brit car guys are with the exposure youve brought to their series. Seems like a win win all around. You get to fulfill a dream, we get to vicariously live through your adventures, and motorsports gains great exposure
Loved gordie watching the carnage as he casually drives by. An admirable attempt by the rogue bodywork to hand itself to the safety crew. A bit exuberant, but admirable attempt to keep the racing going.
"No, no, I'll clean up after myself." *YEET*
On the subject of Team 87 merch, I would love some 1/64th diecast! Maybe get in touch with MiniGT or Tarmac Works, I think they would do an amazing job!
Same! I'd love a diecast Praga or even a Miata 😂
Imagine a BUrango Praga diecast
Damn on board I think I'd buy one of each of the cars
Was thinking the same thing, car looks so good.
I don't usually comment Jimmy, but watching you doing all this has been so inspiring to us normal plebs who dream of going irl racing every day of our lives. I knew you were going to do something like team 87 to create more opportunities to enter motorsports, and it makes me so happy. Best of luck, and keep pushing :)
I miss the 25 nm wheel at full force on BeamNG stuff. But watching Jimmy I've always thought he had done real skill, even though he wasn't afraid of making from of himself.
Congrats Jimmy, that was difficult but great race!
1 thing: if the cockpit camera would be a bit higher, we could see more of the track and more from race point of view :)
We'll try get it higher for the next race, space is very limited.
@@Jimmy_Broadbent I can't believe I got a reply from Jimmy :)
If camera angle can't be changed, that's okay, the feel of racing comes across a lot for sure. Best of luck Jimmy!
@@Jimmy_Broadbent what about a helmet cam?
@@adamwigh5267 I don’t remember 100% but I think he said something last season they can’t do helmet cams
@@bakenflake5182 ooh thats possible:) then that’s probably why they have it where it is :)
I remember as a young cross country runner, at the end of a 5K race I was settled in second place behind my best friend, who was a year older and I considered faster. Coming into the home stretch I passed my sister and her boyfriend who told me to get a move on. This encouraged me to find another gear I didn't know I had and I ended up sprinting past my friend and maintaining the gap to the finish as he couldn't match me (perhaps having not received the same encouragement I just had).
Perfect drive Jimmy no mistakes and honestly this content is perfect ! Maybe a couple more cameras round the tracks to get some more angles of your own content, again I’ll say it I’m happy to help some race weekend, free of charge mate ! Just shout I want to see you succeed !!
Hey Jimmy! I was fortunate enough to see the Madness that was Round 2 Live via the BARC live stream! Hope all is well!
P.S. Congrats on 2nd overall and in round 2! amazing job!
Great vid, and an excellent result. Good going dudes, drivers, engineers, everyone!
Let's meet the team, Jimmer? Only needs to be a few seconds for each person, but if you have hard working mechanics, give 'em a small moment 🙂
Man, this is so cool!!! I always dreamed of doing racing, I'd love to do this sort of thing someday!!! You're so lucky, Jimmy. 😂😅
No luck involved, just pure skill.
@@stanlee6624 Racing doesn’t require skill it requires finances, he is lucky to be in a financial position to go racing on the weekends, whether it is Jimmy or his sponsors… someone is paying.
@@MattO109 “racing doesn’t require skill”
@@MattO109 well i guess we know you arent a fast driver
@@MattO109 You are joking right, ofcourse it requires skill.
I really love all this IRL race content. I'm relatively new as far as viewers go (late-stage shed gang), but it's amazing to see just how far you've come in the short time I've been watching. You're an inspiration to many people Jimmy; proof that hard work and a little luck can truly make dreams come true. Keep up the awesome work.
Started racing electric karts in Burbank, CA this year and as much as I love sim racing, there's no substitute with real world wheel time. This is really cool to watch and thanks for taking the time to create these videos on top of working to improve behind the wheel. It's no easy feat!
Sweet race Jimmy! I miss the "Oh we've had a big one" part of your old intro though.
I'm so proud of you Jimmy! Been following you for years and can't get enough of your videos. Thank you so much for your hard work, you give us regular folks some hope!
I'd love to see some telemetry with that full lap at the end
I agree. If you can share telemetry graphs for both of you for a lap or two and explain why you have differences there, it would be really interesting content.
My boi Jimmy "The Shed Dwelling Sim Racer" Broadbent living life as pro race driver!! HOLY SHIT MAN...its been a while since I've watched your videos and I am so happy for you bro. Congratulations!!!
I like how the car that dropped a bit of bodywork on the pit straight threw it over the barrier by itself as if to say "I don't wanna be that guy so i'm gonna tidy up after myself and keep us at green flag"
Great finish, Jimmer/Gordie! P2 is great for the standings!
Well, time to do some racing in VR because that's the closest I'll ever get.
You My RUclips friend are a Legend!! The stuff Dreams are made of! I'm in awe of your dedication and true passion you give to motorsport! Keep going Jimmy. Thank you for bringing us on your journey along the way! Thanks from NZ!
So you can't race with half the engine cover missing but you can with a door off?
I have no idea how that car was allowed to continue on with a missing fucking door
Can’t find the logic in that, very strange
My guess is, the engine cover is an escalating problem that will lead to more parts come off all over the track. But the door fall off is a one off issue as long as it didn't affect the safety of that car. TBH I am more surprised the door is left there for the rest of the race.
@@veda9151 A missing door means extra danger for the driver in case of an accident
yeah whoevers in charge screwed up
So great to see that even now, when you're just starting your career, you're already thinking about how you can use it to help people who didn't have the same opportunities. A lot of foundations are started by people near the end of their careers when they've already made all the money and done all the things, but it seems like it was one of your first thoughts the moment you started getting established. It's also really refreshing to hear you talk about how expensive and out of reach racing is for most people - I always feel like that's just a massively unacknowledged problem with the sport. You love to see it.
Just need to give props to the BARC broadcaster guy. He does a fantastic job with every stream and is very nice to listen to. As someone looking to get into Motorsports commentary (US tho, different game entirely) he is a nice example to go off of.
Extremely well done Jimmer. What a great video to watch. You are getting rather good at this. Tons of luck for the future, our favourite racer.
I love how Jimmy started real racing as I got into sim racing
It's like we're on a journey together
Great video and fantastic race Jimmy! Knowing when to let P1 through without hurting both of you and managing to up the pace and push without major mistakes ain't easy! Congrats to you and the team!
Dave the Commentator is the man, he's been a nice bonus to this Praga experience you're on Jimmy
Fantastic effort well done to you both good luck for next race.
Mate the whole thought behind the Team 87 is very cool, to make racing more accessible to ordinary people! Think how many rapid drivers are out there who don't have rich parents..
Or a lucky break...
Hi jimmy, my wrist is brocken and your videos have really helped my through this mentally and fysically shit time. Thank you!
Get well soon :)
Jimmy you are so humble and I hope you the best in opening the world of motorsport to more people!
Absolutely inspiring every time I see you racing in real life.
That is so you to give all the way back by putting together some sort of program with the idea to give everyone a chance to race. Very cool. You have my utmost respect, 10x over. Cheers, m8!
So awesome to see what a race weekend looks like from behind the scenes. Keep up the good work Jimmer!
Awesome race Jimmy, congrats on 2nd!!! Well-earned. Lots of epic moments this race. Can't wait for the next one!
Still can't wrap my head around how small these Pragas are.
That was a great, consistent drive. Well done on maintaining P2. Keep up the good work. Hope you win in the near future. You can do this!
This was awesome. I'm loving the IRL racing videos, keep 'em coming! Congrats on P2!
Loving the quality of these race vids Jamble!👊🏼
Awesome stuff man! Congratulations on everything, you deserve it!
YOOOO 800k!!! Congrats man! keep up the good work 👏👏🍻
P2 is brilliant mate, very very solid drive and consistency (which is your thing) is key. Can't win them all 😉, but more will come! Proud of you awesome result!! I need to find the damn calendar so I can watch the races live!!
That team87 explanation made me tear up a little man youre just so passionate about racing just like many of us including me but i grew up in a low class household so my dad couldnt even get me karting and he expressed many times he wished he could at the time when i was younger and the fact that i might just be able to get that opportunity that i never had would be amazing and i think itd make my dad happy seeing as he always wanted that for me
Absolutely brilliant to see jimmer, keep telling yourself that you deserve this. No matter how much your mind tells you that you don't!!
we all believe in you buddy.
So cool to hear your vision for 87! So awesome to watch you race as always Jimmer!
19:19 "Do a shoeie!" Sometimes ready to party.
Epic awesome super interesting vlog Jimmy, this evolution of you and the channel is literally friggin Ace :-) well bloody done. When you win it feels like we win ;-)
Been looking forward to this all week. Well done guys
Man what you’re doing with Team 87 is so awesome. You’re truly a good man Jimmy
The idea of Team 87 is so naturally awesome, which makes sense coming from a wonderful human being such as yourself Jimmy. Well done, love seeing you succeed
Damn Gordy looking FIT bro. I gotta get on his workout regimen.
I'm not even a huge race fan or even sim fan, however I been watching you for about a year or so and have really been enjoying every video. Almost makes me want to get into sim racing.
Epic video, especially the lap at the end. Top job lad 😉
This was the first race I ever attended and I had a great day. Thanks for introducing me to this stuff.
Spring driving looks so nice.
Good work mate! Cant wait to see you take that championship podium!
Always in mood to see Jimmer is happy and going for it. The ladder is step by step and its going on well 👏🏼
Congrats Jim. I wish you the Best, honestly. Musicpt is Still around to watch you race. Big Hug.
Way to go Jimmy !! Great race for you guys !!
Epic stuff Jimmy. Well done!
This is such cool content. Gz on P2, keep it going!
3:39 Gordie with the PEAK F1 interview talent
Great video Jimmer. Loving seeing yall bust yer asses for the love and glory
Awesome vlog. Keep up the good work.
Oulton Park is a wonderful circuit. I have lots of great memories of going to watch the Gold Cup there with my Grandad. Must be brilliant fun to drive it.
Really good to hear from Gordie in these videos too.
jimmy really out here living the dream most sim racers dream of!
Love the variation of content. Came for the sim racing and stayed for the IRL content. Keep up the good work an driving!
Gotta say, the Praga Cup commentators are actually really good. Watched the race on stream, very, very enjoyable race as a spectator
They're not Praga's commentators. Most the commentary is done by Dave Goddard who's BARC's main commentator for most automotive racing in the UK. But yes he's fantastic
Being from South Louisiana, USA, snow is something of which I have only a conceptual awareness
Same way in Central Louisiana, bro... It's even rarer than winning a double showcase on the price is right....
i think the guys who asked jimmy to be their driver made a GOLDEN move. jimmy singlehandedly has given this competition so much more viewers....
200k to go, hope these kind of videos brings more subscribers - loving the mix on this channel - great driving (both of you) 🤩🤩
It could not have happened to a nicer more deserving person jimmy.
much respect
Aww yeah, I love the real racing stuff. Great content Jimmy and well done. Also Gordie has really got in shape since last season!
That's was great proud of ya Jimmer!!!
Keep pushing Jimmy. You got this!
These Praga cars looks like the most fun racing cars there is to drive. Not too much power so they get completely uncontrollable, but still more than enough considering the absolute minimal weight. Would love doing a track day in one sometime.
Awesome Jimmy! Keep it up man, living the dream for all of us.
Yay go Jimmy. My favorite racer and sim racer
When Jimmers intro goes "I've never seen carnage like it", you know you're in for a classic😁
best vid yet, I loved it, congrats!
Nice man was there to see you well done on the P2!
lol. White car at 11:36 aint looking his mirrors for one bit XD. What a maniac!
Congrats mate. Way to bounce back after Sliverstone. I'm sure you know the big key to wining isn't being fast but being consistent and being there at the end. Confidence will come with time. If there is one thing I have learned over the years it's that for all the time you can put in on a simulator there's nothing like getting out there on the track in a real car to truly feel what it is like (Both the good and the bad). Looking forward to the next event. hopefully its not like last year where you were racing through a shallow pond.
Stay positive and keep it on the black stuff.
"Fanatec Podium series" is a fitting sponsor for today's video wouldn't you say
i love the irl racing stuff! really enjoyed and a really good result :)))
That was fun! Second place in the race and the standings. Well done team!!
Nice of that one chap to throw his rear panel off the track over the fence so no one would hit it @ 11:53 ... He threw it right to those safety officials.. Proper gentleman! Textbook.
Brilliant job, well done!
11:52 very kind of the bodywork to take itself off of the track!
CONGRATS ON 800K SUBS
haha i love this intro section with the "ROCK" :D nice race jimmy! good job
Keep pushing... 1st is not out of reach🏁 go team87!!!
Just opening this video and hear break on trough, instantly liked
Jimmy I know u don’t like to say it but u are a racing driver now! Man it’s crazy how far you’ve come.
great racing jimmy were proud!
great stuff jimbo!
