@@ericmullen14 you both said it so well! This single video is all you need as proof. How far has Jimmy come since last year?! The confidence (Q1 being the 2nd fastest am qualifier, when the rain came down he knew what to do) is the big one, and this paring brings that out in both of them. Gordie has been doing this long enough to have got those lumps out of the way, and boy does it show. That guy is *fast* and consistent as hell - and he also is a good road map for Jimmy's future. Both of them on their way up!

As a cycling road racer, this weekend was probably my worst yet. Fell off my bike on an oil slick, getting cut and bruised up commuting home on Thursday night. Then I picked the wrong glasses on Friday night's race and when the sun came out after a thunderstorm I couldn't see anything with or without glasses on because of water spray. Then I got a puncture on lap 2/12 on Sunday's race when I was feeling really strong. Shit happens sometimes, you just have to leave it behind you and look ahead! I hope that's my bad luck over for the year...

In my mind a green flag starts the race. I find the white flag to be more fitting. All cars are slow (white) and the race is not being started or continued (green flag).
I was quite bewildered when Bob (a british marshal who visited for a historic GP, extremely nice and professional chap) told me you use green flags during formation laps :D

Full credit and more to Jimmy and Gordie. I made my protests clear about the Saturday, and I thought it was all a bit suss, but ever the sportsman, Jimmy said that it's best put behind, and to move on, which for someone who is supposed to be an 'amateur' driver, I'd say that's about as professional as you can get 👏 Vindication on the Sunday, from raw pace, and I just hope that Team 87 can get the car hooked up as well as it was at Snetterton for the rest of the season, to at least give them a fighting chance. On this weekend's showing, I wouldn't rule them out. Congratulations on back to back 1st places 🏆🏆, though half of them didn't count. To finish first, you first must finish, and Broadbent/Mutch are a great combo. (Edit: Team 87 are just 8pts behind. 2nd in the standings as of 15/05/22)

Must be down to quality control on bought in parts? As for the second, your analysis was right but don't blame yourself Jimmer! You have had to learn a lot very quickly and it's showing in your speed and attitude. Considering it was wet(ish) you stayed calm and brought the car in to give the Munch a good chance and the win! Plus only one spinnerado in qually, and no punterinos! You're getting there Jimmer!

A 1:48 from a 1:53 last year is HUGE!!! Massive congrats man, this is a rigid, thick, dilating, scientifically measurable growth in your d... development.

Hey jimmy, as a suggestion, put a couple of results/classification chart towards the end of the video, so we can easily have an idea about how's the championship going!
Anyway keep pushing and a lot of love from italy!

Gutted for you for that first race, I've been there. I started to kart at Buckmore in the 90's, my first meeting in the final I was taken out when the leader spun in front of me under pressure, win was definitely on the crds there. 2nd meeting I blew my engine in warmup, blew the spare in heat 2, and borrowed an engine and won in the final. Problem was the Rotax engine I'd had on the kart originall was heavier than the Arrows I had on in the final, and I hadn't weighed the kart after switching, at the weigh in I found I was 1/5kg underweight and got a DSQ. I should've had a burger.
Sadly those engines going pop were the bullet in my fledgling race career, as I couldn't afford to get them fixed.

Jimmy, did you watch the 2020 Spa 24 Hours race, most notably the last 20 minutes or so? That Porsche vs. Ferrari battle for the podium in the wet was something to behold. There's video on YT of it titled: Unbelievable Eau Rouge Overtake For The Podium

Great races sucks to lose on a technicality on a track you both were fast on but that’s racing. At least 2nd race you kept your cool and pulled home the win
