@@PapaiUrsolino I missed Adrian when he was gone almost more than I missed Bruce when he took his time away. Harris might be the heartbeat of the band, but Adrian is the soul.
@@High_Caliber Yeah. Bruce and Adrian are my favorite members in the band. I could barely listen to the X Factor and Virtual XI, as they just felt off for me. Specially X Factor. It didn't even feel or sound like an Iron Maiden album. I just hate that album.

The solo on Writing on the Wall is almost organic. It has an emotion. As soon as I heard it I pre ordered the vinyl.

I absolutely love the Writing on the Wall solo. I knew it was Adrian because it was so melodic. I often find myself humming it; a solo you want to hum is the mark of a great solo!

his signature guitar is highly affordable, an eq pedal isn't super pricey either -you're almost there just with those.

I was in a support band for Maiden when Adrian first joined the band and we discussed
which Marshall amps he would be best to use with the band. He came across just
as he is now, really chilled and super genuine such a cool guy. Great Blues player as well.

The solo on Wasted Years is one of my favorite solos of all time, it has it all - it's energetic and melodiс, not some random exercise-like mishmash we often here in heavier genres (not meaning anyone in particular )

I´m very looking forward on Friday September 3rd because I´m going to buy a new album in this day. I am fan of Iron Maiden since 2018 year and still I am, but I have never been at their concert. UP THE IRONS FROM CZECH REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smith's solo was epic but Murray also killed it on 'the writing on the wall' solo. I don't think many are capable of understanding the perfectness of the first solo in that track because everyone talks Adrian's solo.
Anyway I hope Dave and Janick share their insights of Senjutsu before the release as well.
I think Adrian has become the best guitarist in Maiden, but Dave will always be my man.

They both have a distinct “maiden” sound. Beat guitar duo ever!
He always was to me. Dave would bend out of tune a lot back in the day. Adrian always hit the magic note.
This new album is really great in the guitar department and has great rawness and energy that encapsulates much of the band's music since the first album. That 10-15-second solo piece in "The Writing on the Wall" (you know which part) is one of the best IM has ever produced. "The Parchment" has a lot of great riffs that exhaust my fingers when driving because I can't stop fingering along. To my ears, I'm hearing guitar themes from the songs "To Tame A Land, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark, The Nomad, The Talisman" and possibly some "Killers" influences, but it may just be the style or sound from those earlier albums that I'm picking up on. A magnificent job by the Three Amigos.

@@BSeab1024 To me it's still all about Dave & Adrian. I don't really like Janick as a guitarist in Maiden. But he is good one stage 🤘
@@MichaelHolmgaard I agree that Janick is the weakest link. His Stratego solo is terrible. His sense of melody is not great. But there are times when he is able to pull off a beautiful solo. I think what I respect most about Janick is his love for the band. He is fun to watch on stage.

Writing on the Wall is one of those songs that get's better every time you hear it. You pick up little things, different bass notes you didn't quite catch, just little things. It's one of the best songs I've ever heard period.
TWOTW is/was an incredible solo Adrian. I hope your contributions continue to dominate the record.

Best solos in maiden period
I prefer “worked out” solos. All the 80s and early 90s Maiden albums had very memorable solos that I can still recall note-for-note in my head. Adrian’s solo on Writing is a return to that for me, so I hope he goes back to working them all out. All other parts of a song are worked out, so why not the solos? I prefer when they are songs within a song.
