Same here. Maybe it's a mid life crisis. Or the realization that I AM WORTHY of loving myself and my embracing my femininity. As a Grand Bonus...you might just find yourself installing a pole in your bedroom. 😉
That's awesome ladies. I took a pole dancing class and a strip tease class and one of the teachers was in her upper 50's... kind of plain, conservative. WELL... then she did a little demo & when she was done I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. Dammnnn. She was HOT. It totally changed my mind about age & sexiness. She said someone drug her there, she was so shy she couldn't even make eye contact passing people at work in the halls. Until she took the class. Then she started teaching it. So many women there, all ages and sizes had similar stories. It's all about feeling sexy and confident and learning some awesome moves! So keep it up! It will make you feel great and will def please your significant others.
I'm young (16) but I've known I wanted to be a burlesque dancer since before I should've. You've made my dream so much closer and I'm so thankful. Thank you. If I ever truly become a burlesque dancer and get up on that stage, I'll have you to thank for it.
It’s amazing that you have such passion and conviction behind your interest in burlesque! I hope that one day (when you’re old enough) you do grace the stage, but before then I would task you to make sure you do your research into burlesque and study one of the classic performance mediums that make up a burlesque performance ( voice, dance, theater, circus, gymnastics) and then begin your journey into burlesque if you so choose. It’ll make you a more dynamic performer with options in entertainment. As a young performer you have the option to explore all avenues before deciding to niche down! Good luck love! Stick around. We’ll chat more.
As a belly dance teacher, I totally appreciate that you teach your steps on both sides. I always teach there is a right, left, front, back, up, down to a routine. ❤️
@@VeraValentinaa I Adore your video! When my ex used to make me strip at a club, I would imagine that I was a graceful beautiful Burlesque lady. I'd dance in a way that made me feel sexy. It was the only way to get thru, ya know?! Wish your videos were around back then!

I'm not going into burlesque BUT I am a singer, a very shy singer, and this will be VERY helpful with my stage presence. Can't wait to employ these moves in my act. Thank you
As someone who is just beginning their burlesque journey (and I mean JUST. Like just this week), this is an incredibly informative video. Thank you. As a life long dancer and someone who has danced in heels for several years, I am wildly impressed that you did this whole video on carpet. I applaud you.
I just started taking a burlesque dance class and while I've been in love with burlesque, it wasn't until I was in class that I felt truly empowered, emboldened, and at one with myself. I've been binging videos to grow what I know now since my class last night. Thank you for this well put together video.
Standing tall & walking beautifully is SO important. When I use to teach ballroom/Latin. That was my first lesson. Not only walking forwards but most importantly walking backwards!
Um, yes. Just yes. I haven't even watched more than 7 seconds of the video but I just got to PAUSE and RESPECTFULLY say.... Whatever it is that you are doing, that stuff that feeds your soul, the unique joyful things in life you are lucky enough to have found that work for JUST YOU,... it's WORKing. I am obsessed with everything burlesque right now! It was just a matter of time 💐❤️✨ I’ve always been glam, femme, and into many different styles of dancing.
From what I’ve seen is tht burlesque really compliments curvier girls which I’m thankful for. I’ve thought about wanting to do ballet but I never felt like I would look as graceful as other girls do to my shape(I have really pronounce hips and shoulders giving me the hourglass shape) it can get in the way of most other dance styles but I’m glad I might actually look good going this!
This is the most helpful video for burlesque I've ever seen! Could have really used it last year at my first(and to date only) burlesque performance. I watched lots of performances on RUclips but the day of the show I just got drunk and freestyle danced my songs... Can't wait to practice these moves and try again! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this! When I was younger, I used to be a dancer. I stopped around the ages of 8-10 due to the rigidity of my studio and the fact that I wasn’t very well liked- I liked to be loud and free. Not the best for ballet 😅. As I’ve grown, I’ve also lost a lot of that self confidence I had due to some physical and emotional trauma I went through, but I’ve really started to want to be beautiful for myself, and not because someone else tells me I am. Burlesque and Burlesque inspired dances have always been something I was drawn to (Pippin and Chicago were my favorite shows as a young girl before I saw true burlesque, I loved when the girls all swung their hips and wore gorgeous outfits) and seeing you be so proud and confident makes me want to feel good about myself. So, I just want to say thank you for making me want to love my body again- I know this all seems a bit dramatic, but I’ve always been a bit of drama queen lol so it fits.

I just finished watching the movie Burlesque for the umpteenth time and decided to open up RUclips and there you were. I really want to learn the choreography from the movie. Thanks for the basic steps.
this is a really helpful film making the moves look simple but probably great when strung together. It would be great to learn about which tunes are good to start with and how maybe just 3-5 moves can be strung together to create a fun routine.
Hey thank you for showing how simple these moves can be. I’m NOT a dancer or been anywhere near a burlesque performance in my life. But I AM a middle aged mother of 3 who has completely forgotten she ever was fun or sexy, and this gives me a little glimmer-shimmy of hope that it is still possible. Maybe you could do a video with some chair incorporated moves?
You know I really like you. I wasn't sure about watching you being first on my search but Girl you impressed. Explanation: I am a DIYer (never before about dancing).
But I search a lot of how to videos before and during my projects and most of the time I'm looking for at least 40 minutes to an hour until I find a channel that hits my mark!
You did that at the first try

Why not today? 😉
Best Answer Ever!!! Well Done!!!
OMG... This girl is fun and hilarious and a great teacher! I don't even know how the heck I ended up on this video but I am always looking for ways to teach my body to move differently so this tutorial felt like a good idea. A dancer, I am not. I weight lift and I'm a plyometrics junkie but dancing feels hard... like, so so hard! That said, I already learned 9 new things from this video (I say 9 because I'm already a good smiler). Thanks for the great tutorial--I already feel like I had a few wins which is important when trying something new! I'm gonna go get my groove on and dance like the dog isn't watching😂.
I just foundyour channel. I've been a student of Middle Eastern dance for several years and had no idea a lot of these movements in burlesque are very similar! Wonderful instruction!
Never heard of this dance til now, thanks! 🥳
Alarmingly Gorgeous made me so happy! This is wonderful xxxx
