Some of these will work better than others.
The ‘siblings accompany’ one and and the ‘only 12-year-olds’ both shocked me and genuinely sounded like something that would happen with the capitol.

That’d completely dick over people like careers for not having the know-how to find their own food or make their own tools/weapons. Districts 9-12 have a major advantage and I’m in favor of it.
I love it but in the new book it's proven that the district can take away the food from the capitol (in the war before the HGs the districts cut off food supplies so that the capitol citizens nearly starved to death) and that the food originally only comes from the districts
I mean it's interesting but wouldn't most people just starve to death? The people of the Capital would not like that
i have seen this channel where they make videos abt each year but i’m not sure if it’s a fan fiction or sum but if i’m not mistaken they did that for the 21st hunger games. basically the arena was an abandoned amusement park nd there was no cornucopia but the tributes soon learned to use parts of the roller coasters to kill each other nd stuff
I think the 8th Quarter Quell-the one where there’s 2 Games held at once- would be better if they merged them after each arena has 12 tributes left, so they’re 24 again.
that is a cool idea but i think it would be even better if they have the last person from each arena fight in like a separate very small arena. so when the tributes realize they didn't actually win yet it would make it more interesting for the capitol and the last two tributes would be confused. and the tributes wouldn't even know there was another arena but then idk how the capitol would be able to hide both sets of tributes from eachother.
Eric Jaramillo maybe they start one set of games and then announce the next as the first tributes are already in the arena so the first tributes don’t know abt the second tributes?
Or maybe have 4 tributes from each game left move into a smaller arena, team up and fight. When there's one team left they'll have to kill each other

There's something very haunting about the idea of The Hunger Games continuing after the end of the trilogy. The actual video itself was haunting too, the combination of visuals and the music. Inspired!

I have an idea for a quarter quell:
"To remind the rebels that the capital had mercy and gave them a second chance. All districts sent 2 boys and 2 girls to participate in the games, but only 24 will be placed in the arena, if the tribute dies the other same-sex tribute will be put in place. So each district will have a second chance to win." (48 tributes, 12-18 year old tributes.)

What if after the simultaneous games ended, the speakers came on and said "The winners of these two games shall now fight to the death, as a reminder that even when you think you are victorious, the Capitol prevails". And they're transported to a new arena.

A Quarter Quell idea I have:
"To remind the rebels that even the youngest and the oldest must bear their sins, one tribute below the age limit and one tribute above it will be reaped from each district." (there is no gender limit)

"To remind the rebels that they caused their loved ones to die, two families from each district will be picked and each family would have to vote for one member to be reaped." (there is no age or gender limit)

625 years is such a long time and it took me following mind game to comprehend it: If the 625th took place today (2020) the first one would have been in 1395, which is so crazy to think about considering that's not even close to renaissance, that's very much medieval times. To put that into perspective: that would mean that for example Johannes Gutenbergs first chance to become a tribute at the age of 12 would be in the 17th hunger games.
Christoph Columbus couldn't be reaped before the 68th hunger games.
One year later, in 1464 Leonardo da Vinci could have to partake for the first time in the 69th hunger games. He would almost be Katniss' age if he would be in the 74th hunger games - 17 years old.
And Shakespeares first chance to become a tribute wouldn't be until the 181st Hunger games.
625 years is an insanely long time for a deadly game like the hunger games to take place.
Play this game the other way around and pretend 2020 would be the year of the first HG....they wouldn't end until the year 2645...how do you imagine the 27th century to look like? Cause we won't stop killing kids until then...
What if COVID-19 is preparing us for the dystopian future? Like, the police are acting more and more like peacekeepers each day, world leaders and the upper class is acting like the Capitol and everyone else is the districts, with the whole (or most) of America being District 12, Zealandia is District 13 since everyone thinks that it doesn't exist.

that’s why there is no way that the games would last this long. A rebellion would happen again. I think a lot of fascist dictators forget overtime that people have a pushing point and when there is nothing left to eat, people will eat the rich aka the Capitol
If you do the calculations, around 13.8K people have died in the hunger games, which is twice the amount of District 12’a population. And that’s not including the Quarter Quells.

I feel absolutely terrible for the 20th people. You and your partner are forced into a fight to the death. Someone kills your partner. Devastated, you avenge their death, but with your odds, you lay at the same, miserable fate they do. But if you do somehow win, you’ll have the hole in you eternally.

The one I find most interesting is the 12th Quarter Quell or the 300th games. Can you imagine being a descendant of Katniss and Peeta and them replaying your great grandparent's games on a jumbotron. Seeing a pivotal moment of your country's history that both your great grandparents had key roles in, also watching them fall in love during their game in the cave. And then realizing that its 225 years later, the teens you are watching are long dead, and everything they did to stop the games after was for nothing, as its 225 years later and the games still continue.
It would be interesting, if a little lore-inaccurate (Katniss wouldn't have had children if the games hadn't ended - and she certainly would've been executed after the failed rebellion).
@LordofFullmetal you should watch the Christian Blanco series Tales of the hunger games. He writes stories for every victor using as much Cannon lore as possible. He actually takes it to the 100th games in a clever way where the games come back like 12 years later after Katniss and Peeta have kids. I think he writes that the Districts are falling into ruin because they can't fully govern themselves, so the Capitol agrees to take back control under the condition the games pick up at the "Reclamation" or the 76th games and instead of a Quarter Quell every 25 yrs, there is a Quinquennial Quell every 5. During the "Reclamation" all surviving Victors are given the choice to compete in the games or have 2 tributes of their gender reaped in their place. I belive Annie Cresta is the only Victor to not compete. I won't spoil anymore in hopes you'll watch it. But i belive Katniss and Peetas daughter is reaped in the 90th Games They are all narrated.

The sibling one, the victors choosing the tributes, and the tributes selected from previous generations of victors all seem to be the most horrifying. The Capitol would approve.
tbh, only two of those quarter quells are avoidable by either being an only child within a family or you’re an orphan with dead relatives. fortunately, those quarter quells have a chance of not going thru just bc there would have to enough victors and alive relatives for the sake of the games. well, that’s what i think.

I also had the idea, that there could be a quarter quell where the capitol first send 24 tributes in the arena and after one day (or longer idk), they send more tributes.
or maybe the capitol sends in the tributes one after another in random batches, so like, 2 tributes on day 1, then 3 tributes on day 2, then 1 tribute on day 3, etc. The tributes aren't told on what day they'll get sent in or when the other tributes are getting sent in. To avoid immediate killings by tributes lying in wait for the others, the tiny platforms on which you first appear in the games are scattered throughout the arena

I think that the idea for the 17th Quarter Quell could be very problematic, as depending on who survives, there could be just males left in the top 3 or something, and as they are not allowed to kill each other, the games would be unentertaining to the Capitol citizens.
Maybe when there are only tributes left that are the same sex they will remove the rule, but then it would eliminate the quarter quell rule so I don't think they will do that
Headgamemakers would do anything for a magnificent ending between 1 man vs 1 woman, but if things didn't go as expected they could change the rule at the end, as well as at the end of the 74th.

I like the « little panem » one. They’d split up the arena into 14 parts: The capitol, District 1, District 2, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 6, District 7, District 8, District 9, District 10, District 11, Ruins of District 12, and finally, The Ruins of District 13.

I imagine it to be like a clock arena, the middle being the Capitol, since that's where all the food and supplies are, so the cornucopia, and then the 12 clock faces are the 12 districts...but oh then what happens to district 13? DO we just pretend like it doesn't exist again? lol.

You could pretty much just push someone off the edge
I think eventually each district would just accept the fact that the hunger games will never end, so every district becomes a career district and trains for the hunger games until eventually each district will willingly participate just like districts 1, 2 and 4.
That’s a good point but it’s established in the books that other districts aren’t allowed to train for the games like the careers. We don’t get much detail on this but given what we know about the capitol, we can assume the punishment for this is quite severe. Districts 1,2 and 4 have the “privilege” of training for the games bc they’re loyalist districts and thus has the most wealth/rights amongst district citizens. That said, idk why we don’t have more Katniss-type characters that simply train for the games in secret bc once they get to the games I don’t think anyone cares…no one questioned Katniss
@@ambassadorbruh1200 Also in the books most of the tributes from 12 are starving before the games even start. So training for the games is impossible unless you had money.

@@ambassadorbruh1200 I think its a mix of extreme punishments (most ppl would rather risk starving to death than the risk of being killed or maimed for it), very few people knew the fence was badly powered/ knew katniss and gales route through it. Also most adults probably had a lot of time taken up with mining/ other jobs and hunting efficiently with stone age weaponry is very hard.

Ahhh I felt like crying. If the revolution never happened and this happened instead I would cry my eyes out. The 12 quarter quell made me so sad seeing that the victor was Katniss and Peeta great-granddaughter and it was the clock arena.
I hope the Finnick and Annie don’t have any descendants in that game

There's a deleted scene in catching fire where Plutarch goes to a vault room with a bunch of mailboxes for the quarter quell and swaps the original quarter quell with the plan that snow wanted

One idea could be:
_”We honour this year by reminding the districts that for each family of the Capital who have died in the hands of the rebels, a single family from each district are to be reaped to serve as tributes of this year’s Quarter Quell. No matter their family numbers, age, or state of health.”_

Some of these are amazing. But most just exclude different categories of people from participating, whereas I think the capitol would be more creative, especially as years went on.
I had an idea that's similar to the 14th quell. But the twist is, as a reminder that both the weakest and strongest must bow down to the Capitol, only twelve-year-olds and eighteen-year-olds will be reaped. Everyone's name will be in the reaping bowl only once, regardless of age or number of tesserae taken out, to truly ensure both the oldest and youngest will have an equal chance of getting reaped.
Another idea I had with a similar point is that only victors and victors' children would be reaped. This would force victors to kill their own children, or the children to kill the parents

I can imagine the people in the capital have something like that
Here's some ideas:
1. All the tributes are given a special serum which grants them unnatural physical abilities.
2. The tributes will be able to view the same version of the Hunger Games live, that the rest of Panem is viewing.
3. Tributes may surrender to other tributes and be removed from the game to serve as personal avox servants if that tribute wins. If the tribute that they surrendered to dies, than then those who surrendered will be killed slowly and painfully. This sort of match would need extra tributes.
4. All the tributes are dropped into a natural untampered wildness, with no Cornucopia, gifts from the Capitol, or map boundries (Although if a tribute tries to wander too far, then they will by murdered).
5. All tributes will have a special bond placed that keeps them connected to the other person from their district. They must work together, and both may win.
6. Every-time a tribute dies, all the tributes will be pulled out of the arena, and placed in a different, smaller, unfamiliar one.

the 6th one would work better if the force field thing just shrinks every time someone dies so that the arena gets smaller but its not so much of a hassle. maybe if you dont outrun the force field while its closing in, you simply get fried
The siblings twist, the 12-year-old twist, the loving couples twist, and the firstborn twist all sound so devastating and sad.
btw how many tributes compete in that final quarter quell ever? It's throwing me off a bit cause it doesn't say 24 tributes compete.
its the capitols population/10,000. thus if the capitol has a population of 20 million, 2,000 would go in. He gave it too small of a dividing number tbh, cause its safe to say the capitols pop would be at or > NYC's pop after 600 years.

Over 625 years of normal games, 14,375 tributes would die before accounting for the higher numbers in some of the quells, so this could be a way of evening it up a bit. It would also make more sense to do this the year immediately following(or preceding) the political prisoner games, as a way of ending an era.

I would love a book about the 2nd quarter quell. Haymitch is such and interesting character and I would love to read his story.

quarter quell ideas
- the twist itself is within the reaping of the tributes.
* the gamemakers pick 1 tribute to represent their district. there are no mentors, no sponsors, no volunteers. you’re on your own. (ps: there’s a everlark fanfic called “either way” that uses this idea)
* pairs of siblings are reaped. the age limit does not apply and neither does the opposite gender rule. (the tributes can be two girls, two boys, or a girl and a boy)
* pairs of relatives are reaped. same thing with the quell idea above with no age limit and opposite gender rule. (the tributes can be parents, mother and son, father and daughter, uncle and nephew, and so on, as long as they’re related)
- the twist itself is within the arena, like the 75th games with the clock arena.
* 4 seasons arena: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
* underground tunnels arena: there is no natural daylight, the only light provided is artificial lighting. in the nighttime, you can see everyone’s locations through a holographic map that’s projected in the night sky (like how the fallen tributes are shown in the night).

The underground tunnel arena sounds super cool
It would be so cool if the 4 seasons one changed a season per day. (The tributes would know it can change, but don't know what time). Winter would kill a lot of them if they weren't prepared. They would also have different animals (Polar Bears, Wolves, Foxes, Grizzly Bears, Over sized Eagles) that attack them

•no alliances, tributes must kill whoever is in sight or die themselves
•the male from the each district cannot walk, the female is blinded, they can team and guide each other
•the only weapons in the game are in the cornucopia, no sponsors
•tributes are not told how many people are left
•both tributes of a district must be kept alive or both are dead
•the tributes selected are from 6-12 instead of 12-18
My quarter quell idea:
“To remind the citizens of Panem of the death and destruction of the rebellion, the arena will self destruct if a victor is not crowned within 72 hours of the commencement of the games.”

i feel like if it were to last that long it would become a cultural thing or even a holiday of sorts. it’s like saying we would get bored of christmas or our birthdays. the capital would most likely not get bored of it, especially since it has a deep rooted meaning in their government to them.

I got an idea. Two people from each district will fight, but if one of your team-mates die, you will die too, meaning two tributes from the same district will survive
I have an idea :
To remind everyone of how the districts joined forces to rebel against the capitol, 12 tributes will be reaped from each district (144 total) and be made to fight in teams of 12 with one person from each district per team. Then once there is one group left everyone from that group has to fight each other (because even though they have to team up the capitol will still only let there be one winner).

What if to show the power of the capitol and how, no matter how well the districts thought they were doing, they were always going to be powerless against the capitol; when a tribute died in the arena someone back home was killed, but the twist being that every day they lasted was an extra person killed when they eventually did die. But there was only 1 tribute from each district (or two tributes but they were allowed to both win together) so that the victor’s district would not lose anyone otherwise every single district would have at least one person die. It would be a mind game for the tributes, better for them to die on the first day than later on so less people back home were killed, but even better to make it all the way to the end to preserve their own life as well as protecting their loved ones back at home.

I imagine the Capitol being petty enough to pull this envelope out the exact minute Katniss and Peeta’s kid turns 12 for the 100th Hunger Games (when the rebel governing plan falls apart). So now Katniss and Peeta are in the arena a third time (for the fourth Quarter Quell), but now with their kid. The awful twist being of course that they thought their kid would be reaped from a pool of victors’ kids and would have to go it alone- when now their only chance for their kid’s survival is to stage a rebellion with other families (but the Capitol is prepared for this), or fight to the end and take everybody and each other out, orphaning their child.

I thought it might be interesting if every district sends 10 tributes (5 male;5 female) into one smaller arena until 2 are left to represent their district in the actual games. Like mini games before the „real games“ started. Great video and like your ideas as well 👌🏻
That's what districts 1 and 2 do since they have so many volunteers. But instead of killing eachother they are all given bracelets and collars and they have to rip them off eachother. The last one with a ring remaining is the tribute for that district

the last one is cruelll, i think it would be a short game though 😭. Also the allying one would be very interesting as what people call allying, if you saw someone would you have to kill them on sight, as not doing so could be seen as having a tempoprary truce. Anyway x

Can you imagine being a direct descendant of Peeta and Katniss, standing in the same spot they stood, while they replay your great grandparents games on the jumbotron. You're watching them as teens fall in love in the cave and a pivotal moment in your country's history that sparked a revolution lead by your great grandparents. Then you realize that is 225 years later, the teens on the screen are long dead, and everything they did to stop the games was for nothing, as there you stand 2 and a half centuries later.....the Games still continue

Interesting idea, but the problem with this is that since it is a televised event, many of the events would be super chaotic (which would not play well with Capitol Audience). The games might very well be over before they even began
I wrote a bad fanfic, that Snow started to realize he was loosing the people (he started figuring this out before Katniss game - but was made sure of it after her stunt) and he was worried the uprising would come when his grand daughter taken over as ruler after him, she was good, he wanted her to be known as good, so he managed to switch the uprising around, when he started make Hunger Games with an unknown quest in the arena, that the tributes had to figure out and conquer, if they did - all remaining in the arena got to live. Or... if they didn't figure out what the quest was, until there was only one that survived. So the tributes had a choice - fight each other, or trying to trust each other not to kill one another to figure out the maze together.
One was killing an enormous snake that spawned other snakes.
Another one was finding a shrunken ship and retrieve a treasure
another one was... you understand, completely different maze every time.
oh, and if a tribute didn't kill another contestant in the arena, his/her bloodline would forever be spared from ever be drawn into the game again.

I have an interesting idea: "As a reminder that even the most powerful and wealthy districts chose to rebel despite their favorable treatment, Only Districts 1, 2, and 4 (Career Districts) are allowed to participate (8 tributes each district). Additionally, since these districts still maintain loyalty after the war, the Victor shall receive double the cash prize.
I think this would be an amazing quarter quell, since all tributes are powerful and will be an insane battle.

To show how the rebels endangered their family and friends by instigating war on the Capitol, whatever place the tributes come, that's how many of their relatives and friends are killed when they die. So they are fighting for other people's lives aswell as their own.
Heres my ideas:
"To remind the rebels that families traded their children so they can live there will be no alliances for this quarter quell" (Tributes who team up with other tributes gets killed instantly even the careers)
"To remind the rebels of how chaotic the war was, Every event from every game will be unleashed all at once"

4:03 Okay, I really like this concept the most, because:
The thought of groups of only men and only women sticking together and being in fear of an attack from the opposing gender is such a cruel way to go about the Hunger Games. But, something important should also be mentioned- what if the Games reach a point to where the only remaining tributes are all men or women? It's almost poetic in a way.
Just imagine this- you've been sticking together with a few people who are the same gender as you. You've seen your comrades come and go, and the Games reach a point where the only remaining tributes are of your gender specifically.
Although I do assume that if that were to happen, the Gamemakers would announce a rule about how anyone can kill anyone now.
Imagine working with your partner/group for days, maybe even weeks, fighting together, and not having to worry about them killing you as it is against the rules. But then the rule of only killing the opposing gender is lifted, and you're essentially forced to duel people you had grown close to. It's such an entertaining concept- and I'm sure the Capitol would love to see friends turn on one another when deemed absolutely necessary for one's own survival.

No idea why this came up for me now but the 3rd quarter quell was meant to be siblings from each district as that's what Suzanne Collins said cause there was a deleted scene as shown 0:58 where Plutarch burns that theme for the 3rd quarter quell and changed it to living victors

I thought of one where the mentors go in with the tributes, and in order to win the tribute must keep their mentor alive. If the mentor dies, then the tribute will automatically be killed as they have failed their district and the legacy of the mentor. Difficult for both, as mentors can't get sponsors outside the game for the tribute and there's twice the cost involved with failure.
I love the idea of a family having to vote for a member to be reaped and then having it be like a Sophies choice situation where the favored child is repaid in its stead
I don't think the descendants of victors would have worked. In the book it is said that most victors do not have children and people like Cecilia are a rarity. Victors' children are chosen way too often for it to be not rigged against them. You'd have to have enough descendants and I'm not sure there would be.
there could be a quarter quell where instead of 2 tributes from each district it would be 1 whole family from each (all ages) meaning there would be a high chance that relatives would end up needing to kill one another in the end

No volunteering is a good one. Maybe a bit simple but it's effective.
