The singing portion of this demo was hilarious.
The Floating head and floating hands have a point but I prefer the Boss VE20 but the Helicon is pretty cool too for karaoke types.

cheapest. Buy a 3/8 inch stereo male to 3/8 inch stereo male 6 foot cable from Guitar Center. Plug it into the headphones out on the TC Helicon, turn down the headphone output way down if going to mic in on computer or plug into computer lin input..
The TC Helicon Voice live is very agile since it has multiple ways to output and control the output level.
I think this is a very good demo. Many thanks I am going to buy one.

Why do you say its for people who do not play an instrument? Why couldn't a keyboard player utilize this? Is there a better helicon for a keyboardist?
Might have to pick this up, though it would have been nice to hear some of the effects rather than just the harmonizer.
Hey I just ordered this machine with the wire that comes with it to connect to the tc helicon mic( for 99$ ).. can you tell me all that I need to get it to sing like you did .I notice you have plenty of wires when you hooked it up to the mp3 I saw thick wire on left side can you please tell me all the wires I need . i loved it....i feel it has a lot of effects that could be used for more so guitars than vocals however it seems like fun

For longer cable runs use a balanced xlr cable from the Helicon left out left out XLR jack to a small balanced xlr to unbalanced box near the computer (about $40 and connect the converter box output unbal rca jack or 3/8 to the computer input rca or 3/8 line input jack.
Does this have same presets and voicelive play electric ? Which one would be better for voice without guitar ?

Can I change the gender of my voice, put harmony, pitch correction and other effects at the same time?
That mic does not work with voicelive play. Push the button and it's just a mic. Tchelicon said it only works with voice live extreme and more updated pedals. Now I need to upgrade. Wish I knew that before I bought the mic.
I heard someone use this through a decent sound system for female to male octaving, and it was very good, but I was curious how it worked the other way -- one octave higher, male to female -- since the TCH Harmonizer I have breaks up when I growl or there's any ambient noise getting into the mic. Also wonder how it compares to the Electro-Harmonix Voice Box for those functions.
No offense but they should get a higher caliber singer to demo this...

I suppose you would have to run the output of the effects unit to an input on your audio interface. The USB cable is not what you need.
I'm sure it adds harmony and artifacts to every snare hit like their other pedals do. This thing is useful if you plan to do this video and nothing more. Or maybe a low volume solo acoustic show.

I'm a singer that sings in a lot of different keys. How do I get it to just allow me to sing and make it on key? It takes me to different keys that I'm not in while I'm playing with my band ,original music. Help

The black scrolling button in the middle on my VoiceLive Play is not connecting anymore; it just spins without catching anything or clicking. I even took the rubber part off and tried to rotate the metal hub underneath and it still spins freely. Any thoughts?

Hello there, does this pedal follow the harmony of your voice without any conections like mp3, room sense or guitar?
And if it does follow in any key, will only do for that key untill you change chords in a song?
I mean that without any imput for harmony function, the harmony will follow you but it will be limited to a bit of the song? A bit of the song that you already set up in a key, ready to press the button when that bit comes....

note: I haven't tried this suggestion. I just googled for xlr usb converter. order at your own risk.

I would say that your choice of microphone is too sensitive for the Helicon. I've tried this unit using a Helicon MP-75 mic with built-in audio gate and I've never had that feedback (whistling) annoyance you've been encountering there. Try using a LOW impedance Super-Cardioid mic like one rated at 150 to 300 ohms. Of course, use good quality mics and not one those cheap one meant for karaoke players.

Yes, it does :) I just bought it and I'm learning some stuff 'round here. :)
One of the three parameters under Hardtune (Auto-Tune or "Cher effect") is Gender. The VLP manual says: "*Gender* - Manipulates the timbre of your voice to sound more male or more female in nature. Extreme settings for this parameter will sound very un-natural, but that may be just the effect you’re looking for."

Like u do on the harmony g xt..you can add a third for harmony down or up pitch plus u can make.it sound lower than ur voice.
And does this pedal has diferent harmony.pitches en thirds, fiths, octaves etc?

I have a blunt question. Let's say I write a script of dialogue outline and I want to read it in Voice Actor Jim Cummings, Peter Cullen, or Keith Davids' voice... does this program enable me to do that?
No there's no software/hardware that does that accurately or even attempts to it'd be way too complex to make it sound natural, unless you want to sound like daft punk and use vocoders you'll just have to impersonate I'm afraid.
Sam Lee But then again there was a case where I had a "hip hop" street wars mixtape when I was in high school. There was a "Jay-Z" freestyle and a "2pac" track where he dissed Ja-Rule and Murder Inc. Both cases sounded 95% exactly like them but I figured it wasnt. Second case is w/the case of the subliminal message (technology wise) in the DC comics movie Steel in the 90s featuring Shaquelle O Niel. At the end of the movie, Steel spoke in Ah-Nold's voice. From what I KNOW, when subliminal messages via plots, references, etc. are PURPOSELY featured in multiple movies across the span of decades (or more), it is in reference to TRUTH that has happened/existed, is happening/exists, or is going to happen (or will exist).
The case with this type of tech was also featured in T2: Judgement Day with Ah-Noldator speaking in John Conner's voice, and what about the "supposed" tech where you can speak through a telephone line in a chosen of a person you know?!! If this small time tech exists where you can choose from a small preset of just 10 damn voices, then there must be/IS more advanced tech for voice mimicking.
HELP! I've just bought the voicelive play, we have a rock band, and I'm having some problems in our rehersal. We rehearse in a small room acoustically isolated and I connect the voicelive in just one amplifier, I don't know why it makes a lot of noise whistles really loud) when I turn the volume and the gain up and if I turn them down, we can't hear the effects and my voice is low and strange, it's even hard to hear the reverb. I don't know if I made the presets wrong or set up. HELP!.

als je niet kan zingen moet je niet gaan zingen haha en zeker niet met dit ding.. wel een geniaal hulpstuk met pink floyd (klein beetje hall geluid en echo) enzo..of de disortion ..met Lenny Kravitz .. hun hebben het in de studioversies verwikkeld... dus als je op podium staat met de band zonder vaste geluidsman is dit een uitkomt...probeer het wel zo orgineel mogelijk te houden met je eigen stem is mijn mening,.. anders wordt je nep.(ben nog aan het twijfelen deze of de boss ve-20)

It has a lot of features. You can sing into it. You can download presets. You can scroll through presets. You can search presets. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Hi. I don't know if you are aware, but there is some software that you can download and it's pretty cool. It updates your software on the pedal and you can download presets etc. It's called voicesupport 2

This guy sings almost as bad as he beat boxes
I play guitar and RUclips is jammed with a bazillion of bad demos. A lot of theses players are technically quite good (way better than me), but they are not musicians and their stuff sounds as bland and empty as their minds.
There must be a hidden factory, where there producing all these generic clones with generic licks and riffs imprinted in their brains.
This guy here seems to be an outdated modell with very low capabilities.
