QUESTION: Can you explain in a video why you blur out the tags please? I have never seen any farmers on YT blur out the tags so curious why you do it! I know it's there IDs but does it also show like your address on it or something and that's why you dont want ppl to know where you live? Im just curious thats al! It has our PIC number on it, it's for online safety. Other countries don't have the requirements we do for biosecurity.
I would love a calendar of your sheep and farm. As far as other merch, wool is definitely the way to go. As is, the wool isn't worth much unfortunately, no matter where in the world, but washed and made into jumpers, beanies and other merch makes it worth a good price

I'm glad you liked it I think some of that footage looked amazing! I don't upload in 4k because it takes HOURS (6+) but the footage is in 4k and looks so good. The calender would be the 4k images.

Very much so! Helps show the scale more too I think, when just watching the sheep from behind when moving them it doesn't really show how many sheep there are.

I was always told that hearding sheep is like putting a bubble around the mob about 20 metres away and you push on the bubble. If you want them to go left you push on the bubble from the right. But don’t get too close. They will seperate. Good dogs know this instinctively. You just have to signal them

You really get a great view of the herding process, especially through the gate, the truck and typo have two distinct effects on how the sheep move.
The gate shot looks so good, I agree that it shows how the sheep behave differently when going through the gate!

Alternate Typo shots with other farm views - Drone shot of mob entering a gate, shearing, drafting, moving bales with a bale hook, harvesting, mums n lambs - these in appropriate months of the year of course so we see what you see on a daily basis!

And might I suggest that you check with a spinnery to make some yarn? I would definitely but some 😁 and you can have special colors based on the Outback landscape and/or based on family and pets? I can totally imagine a skein of black, muddy brown with a bit of green tones named "The Slug" 😊

"Pretty good" footage...Heck no! 🤩Every second was great! Loved it. Too many wonderful shots to point out all of them but watching you and Slug work together at that gate 👍👍👍👋👋👋; the ewe and lamb closeup 👍👍👍🥰🥰; heading down the road, wundebar(!) ; the early shots of the ravine and sheep; and on and on! Thank you. And the beginning with chauffeuring the Men out to their Ladies 🤣🤣🤣once the kids ("Can I come? Please? Can I, Can I? Shoot , I never get to do anything fun) were gotten out of the way just cracked me up, but what a LOT of work in that muggy heat🥵(the trailer hitch!!! O.M.G.). Bravo to all of you doing what you do on a daily basis. Every video you make is thoroughly enjoyable and there's always something to learn🤓

Been in Singapore a week or two. Sheep up here are much the same as in Sydney or Brisbane, they runaround on two legs and need a Slug or 3 to keep them in order. I like the fact that you are using subtitles to give more technical detail; I know some folk are not interested but many more of us do like to learn, so thanks for that. The slightly longer tails are now mandatory in Europe though where I come from, NW Scotland most tails are not docked at all. Fly blown sheep are possible there but it is rare - too cold.

I would buy a calendar. As for merch I would likely buy a baseball cap, stickers (for my car and family overseas) and coffee mug for me and my dad. Personally with merch I like to buy it for someone or with a purpose.

Is it hard to train farm dogs? It looks like Typo dose a great job. Always fun watching her enjoy relaxing in the pond after a long run.
It depends on the dog and how you want them to work. Professionally trained dogs need to be more micromanaged, where as I prefer Typo to go about the job and think for herself.
I think you are so very right about that training. I trained my English Springer the same why. @@TaraFarms

Victoria was hit with massive storms over Christmas, brought all the grain left in the paddocks down to feed quality but had Christmas lol.

Hi Tara, the sheep and lambs need a lot of handling in the shed to keep them healthy. Typo is hitting his straps now and the view from the drone showed his great style working the sheep. Gee, the weather over Xmas was ridiculous with lots of rain and it was cold, the climate has gone mad. (An older brother who was unwell, unfortunately passed away in November,thats the reason for my absence on your site). It all good now and i am looking forward to the adventures of Tara Farms in 2024. Chris from Bendigo, Victoria.
