Edit: Delta (my German Shepard) is who has cancer. She had a growth on her leg, I found out it was that when this was filmed last Tuesday 13/12. She’s had it removed last Wednesday. Should find out what type by Friday this week.
Anything you want to see on the channel specifically, or want to know? Let me know so I can try to include it in videos!
Yep they’re in Oklahoma USA they ranch Bison on horse 4wheeler and 4WD. Tell Dusty and Marissa we sent you there. 😊 I really love your take on stupid comments.
Show us any summer crops if you guys are planting any!
wishing Delta full recovery!!!!
We've got 3 paddocks of rape, they're our summer crops. I show it in this one when I drop the lambs off 😊
Thank you!
Tara I adore you and your lack of filter...almost every episode I LOL. #SAVETHETITTIES.
And I've watched Sandy for years.
Hopefully I’ll be added to that dedication 😂
I came over from Sandy’s channel. You’re hilarious & a bad @ss. Love it! Block the trolls. They’re not worth your breath
Same!! To both sandy and troll blocking x
I am another import from Sandi's channel. Personally I think using a truck in that climate is genius. Sorry to hear about Delta, hopefully just removing it was the only treatment needed. I am curious as to whether you get many foot problems with the sheep where you are?
Me too! OMG, you are a scream! Lol
Been watching both of you for a while. There is such a difference in how the farms work I find it fascinating. I grew up on a small dairy farm that sent 3× the amount of milk with a higher butterfly content than the big farmers in our area. My brothers never sat around andvlistened to the farmers, they wanted nothing to do with farming but i....I wanted to be the farmer--- not married to one..did get to have several dairy goats for 5 years and play farmer but my husband wasn't cut-out for farming and when visiting had 5 major operations in one year I had to sell...anyway I get my farm fix watching you and Sandy.
Me too from Sandi B’s RUclips poor Slug. 😊 now being from Canada, we know the metric system the UK does but the Untied States is Fahrenheit pounds
I'm a long time Sandi Brock follower and checked out your page because of her shout out. I'm an Aussie and live in Queensland so I totally understand why you herd in the ute. Your type of farming is what I'm used to seeing. You're funny as fuck and I laugh out loud a lot while watching. Glad Sandi mentioned your channel.
Originally came for the dog but stayed for the comedy and content 👌
It is Because of Sandy that I found your channel, I am a Aussie living in the States. You give me my Aussie pick up that I need each day. Love your channel.
Boring???... hilarious, like what lunatic would choose to cover that property by horseback in 38 degrees.... oh, yeah... a keyboard cowboy!... Love the videos Tara.
They do it up north, I'm not tough enough for that though 😂
38° C or F? Probably both are not ideal temps - too hot/C & too cold/F
@@LauraFunFunFloweries 38 Celsius...
always remember to moisten your slug!
very good show!
Wishing Delta a good recovery, hope it isn't too nasty and gets the all clear from the vet. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and the doggos and the sheep too of course 🎅👍
Thank you, Merry Christmas to you too!
Your frankness is so refreshing, don’t change a bit.
We get Australian lamb for Christmas in Colorado!
What a small world! Could be ours!
Hoping Delta makes a speedy recovery and stays healthy for a long time!❤
You just started showing up in my feed 🤷♀️ and I really appreciate the honest and candid view of sheep farming in Victoria.... I'm a American who went to uni in Wales, and fell in love with the views of sheep, but talking to a few farmers convinced me that shepherding is an undertaking for the truly strong, brave, etc - but most of all - those with a good sense of humor! Keep up the great work 👍
Speedy recovery Delta. And I hope you still have a nice Christmas. Have a good day ya all
Thank you, hope you all have a good Christmas too!
And I was whinging about 37 degrees in Sydney, when I have a desk job. That’s nearly 100F for the US mob.
Wasn’t it falling off an ATV that killed Shannon Noll’s dad? They are a family tragedy waiting to happen, not to mention skin cancer.
Love to see Tara “ranching” so someone make that happen, hopefully in cold so she gets a break.
Great episode of farming life, I can nearly smell Typo from here.
Hope Delta is on the mend.
I’m one of Sandi Brock’s ladies❤love her, really enjoying you as well. Binging when ever I get time. Loved the shot of the lone kangaroo in one of your posts.
Fantastic content as usual you and slug make my Wednesday
I'm glad to hear it! Thank you for watching and commenting 😊
I love watching both you and Sandi! Thank for the awesome content.
Interesting to hear you mention Heartland. Sounds like one of our favourite series in Canada. Shot in High River, Alberta, which is cattle country. We have a lot of ranch country in British Columbia, too. Bison are big and can out run a quarter horse from a standing start. Horses are good for less open terrain where the cattle can get down into coulees and brush but whatever works.
If you get out our way, I hope you get out on a pack trip on horseback. If you like exploring some of the badlands, also lots of dinosaur remains. The First Nations have some World Heritage sites at Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump and Writing on Stone. There is the Cowboy Trail running along the east of the Rocky Mtns and foothills then out onto the grasslands. I think you would get a kick out of seeing it.
That sounds so interesting! I just think it would be so picturesque moving cattle on horse back in Canada like on Heartland!
@TaraFarms all depends but I think you would enjoy it.
Love watching life down under! Sending love from Arizona!
Thank you for watching 😊
I found you via Sandi. I love to learn about the different methods of sheep raising. I'm a horse person myself but unfortunately I don't have cattle, otherwise I'd invite you for a round-up. Have a great Christmas!
You're a wonderful woman, very pretty and incredibly witty and I simply can't get enough of your voice and accent. Love your outlook and attitude towards your sheep. Fantastic sense of humor and great content.
I must commend you on how clean your shearing shed floor is, I have been in a few where you couldn't see the gaps in the slats.
Hope Delta is ok
Sheep are funny creatures 😊
Heck yeah! I saw where Sandi shouted you out and squealed so hard. There's a weird kind of parasocial joy in watching one of your lil guys get a shout out by one of your bigger guys. Proud of you!
I’m an Aussie from you through sandy brook
Another fab vid Tara. Always interesting, good for a laugh, and of course to see what ole Sluggy Slug is up to. Love your ‘shoot from the hip, no mucking about’ response to the naysayers. Cheers for a not-too-hot Merry Christmas🎄🎄🎄
Thank you hope you also have a wonderful Christmas
I’m here from Sandi!!
I am a city dweller for all my life like my father so I can't relate with farm's life in real life... But my mother and my grandparents (from both my mother and father side) are from rural and they were farmers, and they told me several times of their life in the past. Thank you for showing us your way of life and make me remember of the old stories.
The Wyoming Way uses horses a lot, Sleep Ranch is largely horseback herded. Both beef cattle.
Thankfully a "keen bean" helped the remote from getting lost. Love your dry wit in all your videos concerning sheep smarts and Slug the One that Moistens keeps me in stitches while I learn about Down Under. You are a wonder. Thank you!
Hope Delta recovers and the pathology is clear. Love ya work, typo is a top dog. Keep driving the farm cause it’s thousands of acres. Forget the idiots. Merry Christmas hope it’s not too hot for your lunch. Have a happy day with your family and fur family. 🎉🙏🏼🌟🌟
We love you delta! goodluck!!
I’m already in a sauna 🤙 watching from Perth WA
Ah, so Typo gotcha eh!
Hi Tara, its good to see your channel has increased from 100k to 172k in only a month. I think Sandi Brock mentioning you on her channel recently might have helped. I have watched Sheepishly Me (Sandi Brook) for 4 years and her subscriptions rose above 1.0 million a few months ago. I was surprised when she said she had a similar language to you off camera with her family. I have supported your use of the Aussie lingo in your vlogs as thats how we speak here and why hide it. I have noticed your explanations have expanded to explain the jobs you carry out working with 6000 sheep and their lambs. Overseas coutries like the USA and the UK sometimes keep their sheep under cover in sheds during the cold snowy winter months. Its getting close to the end of the year and to the hotter parts of the summer for your sheep to cope with. Thanks for your Vlogs in 2023 and i am looking forward to more in 2024. I would like to wish you and your family at the farm a wonderful Christmas and a sensational New Year. Chris from Bendigo, Victoria Australia 🇦🇺. (P.S. Is lamb being served for Xmas lunch?)
Hey Chris,
It’s been a while since I’ve seen you here! Hope you’ve been well!
Thank you I hope you all have a Merry Christmas also. We’re having primeline lamb tomorrow I believe 😊

Good luck with the cancer removal. Lovely little side comment for Christmas. Take care T
I came over from Sandi Brock’s channel and am thoroughly enjoying your channel to see the different style of farming.
That’s why I am here through Sandi! But I am here to stay, love ya work.
As always love your videos! Keep em coming! 😊
Tara, I’m so happy that sandy introduced me to your channel… I so love your attitude, I’ve been watching your older videos and am catching up to the current… you’re so entertaining.. thank you for sharing your days with us all…
Sandi’s sister is also an accountant lol. In my part of Canada 🇨🇦 we haven’t had snow yet, but it’s not far off. Usually after Christmas and before New Year count on a storm in Atlantic Canada. Where I live it’s +11 Celsius and partly sunny today, which isn’t a bad winter’s day. Summer’s can get quite hot here and figuring in the humidity factor it may be 32 Celsius with a heat index (feel like temperature) of 38-40 degrees Celsius…. Great if you’ve got a cottage at the shore. We do have the Atlantic Ocean and many crowded beaches, but don’t count on any ocean breezes. Yes Our winter can be quite brutal. Have a great day. 😊
Merry Christmas! I started watching you a couple weeks ago. Sandy sent me and I’m glad she did!
Happy holidays
I had been watching you for a while and laughed when Sandi gave you a shout out because I didn't remember your channel name but knew she was talking about you. I grew up with horses, sheep and cattle. And I have the appropriate vocabulary. I know a few RUclipsr cattlemen who work on horseback, I'll have to see if I can get you introduced!
Here's a channel for you about working cattle with horses. I've been following them for quite a while because they have some fantastic horses.

I also found you through Sandi Brock. Love how you keep it real. Farmed cattle in Saskatchewan Canada for 25 years-I can't imagine the work that goes into a flock that size. Love your channel-education and a chuckle or 2
Have a very Merry Christmas and and safe and prosperous New Year to you, Typo and family. I will think of you both as I enjoy my slow roasted lamb with roast potatoes and gravy. 🎄
I’m just out here tanning and you post yay
Here from Sandy's channel!! You are lovely and true! Enjoying all your content. Slug moisturizing makes lol❣️🎄🎁🎇Merry Christmas
I wouldn't have expected that I would enjoy watching videos about sheep, but I'm glad I keot watching. You seem like an awesome person who enjoys what they do, and it comes across as such in your content. Don't ever change!
Sandi is the way i found your channel.. So far not disapointed.. I find it funy that you just say it how it is... My next step is to move to alaska to raise sheep the way sandi raises her sheep..
Broncs and Donks is a great mustering RUclips channel and it’s pretty cool, I recommend❤❤
The pink hat setup killed me hahahahahahaahahha
I’m here from Colorado USA, because of Sandi Brock’s shout-out. Loving your work, loving your attitude. Loving your choicest verbiage. I work my horse and cattle ranch from horseback... which is why I don’t have a channel. because everything takes three times as long via horseback ... which means I don’t have time to manage a camera and filming. Adding the filming in would make it six times as long. So you keep doing what you do in the smarter way that you do it. I’ll keep slogging along here on the Colorado prairie, wishing I had a jeep like a smart person.
Always look forward to a new adventure on the farm :-) I see you got a new pink hat :-)
I actually found the old one! It was in the primeline ewe lamb paddock 😂
nice you found it, @@TaraFarms
@@TaraFarms. Goddam! How did you spot it in a bloody big paddock. I suppose being pink it would stick out like a small thumb.
Check out Anchor Brand Ranch. Kids, dogs, adults, friends, lots to see. Youd have a real cattle ranch experience with that family.
It's funny. I've been watching Sandi for quite a while now and then I started watching other vids. Your channel became a recommended channel out of the blue and I'm happy it was. Just started watching you a few days back and I'm absolutely loving your channel. Looking forward to more of your content and humour. Hello from Canada!
Welcome, thank you for coming aboard!
I love how you tell it like it is
My favorite notification!! The new intermission took me out lmao! 😂😂
Thanks
I am also a new subscriber from Sandy !
Slug might be smarter than we think with the moisturizer breaks
Sorry about the dog, delta, hope she’ll be right. Soon enough ❤
Hey Tara, from another Aussie, I bloody love your vlogs!
Its so good to see someone representing the country side of australia so well. Its really educational but i just love how capable, hard working and fucking resilient you are. And all with no f's given. Problem solving skills seems to be lacking in people these days but you are damn inspiring. I just started a reaction channel and I'm finding it hard to get used to being on camera (I seriously look like a snobby bitch, lol) but watching your vlogs reminds me to just relax and be myself.
Congratulations on the growth of your channel, it seems like you have been doing this for a long time and you deserve it. I just wish I had found your channel earlier.
I hope you and Typo had a good Christmas. Damn good dog that one!
Still blows me away that Victoria still has to deal with the same heat as Southern Queensland. I hope the humidity is treating you kinder than it is to us up here. Anyone living north of Bundeburge is insane!
Humidity would be lower down here now compared to up there! Couldn’t live up there, went to Singapore for a week and that was MORE than enough for me!
You are awesome I’m proud of you you’re a bad ass 😊
I’m watching from Sandy’s channel. I have nothing to do with sheep raising but sure enjoy watching the work that is so different than my own - escape I guess in work, language, continent and hemisphere! It took me a few episodes to figure out your use of ‘ moistening’.😂
Head north, they still muster along the highways with horses NW NSW. We know some farmers out QLD that travel and muster, they use bikes, quads, vehicles and horses.
First thing this morning I watched. Prayers for Delta, had a few fur babies with cancer. "Heartland Shit"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👍👍
Zoe Carter Australia would get you your Heartland content and she works sheep too!!
That would be such a task! One of my mates worked on a NT stations for a year and drove on horse back, said it was the toughest job she's done!
I’m from Sandi Brock’s channel and have binged watched your videos . I’m from Washington State USA
I came from Sandy's channel. Saw your profile pic and was hoping to see a Kelpie in their natural environment. 🙂 I have Boone a 1 year old male Kelpie and live in the US. Not a lot of Kelpies, especially in Pennsylvania where i am. It cracks me up to see Typo make an expression or ear flattening like he does. Lol😂
hullo from Perth! Love your videos and the humour, been watching both you and Sandi so the shout-out was a wicked cross-over 😂
Totally buying one of those pink hats because it’s so sensible and I burn in the Aussie sun in five minutes 😂
And anyone who says it’s boring to Shepard in a Ute has never been in 40+ degree weather on a 14 hour work day 💀
I found you through Sandi Brock. You are hilarious. I love your accent and content.
& don’t forget the lovely big spiders that like to join you in the car & on your videos so why would you want anything different 😊 thank you Tara I love how you call people out on their BS ❤❤
Keep that slug moistened, merry Christmas and happy new year from humid Queensland ❤🎄
Hope you're safe up there! Couldn't imagine how warm and sticky it would be right now!!
I am amazed that you didn't fall asleep counting those lambs. Doh. I enjoy that you do you!
Best Feed Sheep or Lambs I've Ever Seen
I came over from Sandi’s Channel . All the way from Tassie 😊
Typo totally underwhelmed. 🤣🐕
Hope the cancer removal went well.
Maybe the "boring" commenter would prefer if you used a submarine.
I know some Australians use helicopters for herding, but I think that is for cattle, not sheep.
Thank you, I'll hear by Friday how it went I hope.
Would be a tough day in the sub going after the sheep, but it wouldn't be easier to check them!
Helicopters are used on massive remote stations here, most of the land they're on is cattle country, we don't have a use for them down here though!
@@TaraFarms Even though you seem to have large amounts of land to manage sheep on, I didn't think it was enough to make using a helicopter economical.
I spent about 25 thousand dollars in the US getting my commercial helicopter pilots license, and that was back in the 1990s when aviation fuel was cheaper. That got me just 300 hours of pilot in command time. Insurance companies want you to have 1200 hours to be hirable as a commercial pilot.
Glad you and Typo manage to stay cool in that heat. 🌡
I would take both doors off the Robinson R-22 helicopter I flew if it was going to be a really hot day. There was no air conditioning in that helicopter.
New sub from Sandi Brock !! Girl - you rock!
Sandy has it right, you're a riot.
Keep on rocking 😎
Cross Timber Bison's recently did a bison drive with horses, you might find that interesting to watch. Don't recommend it for you though, heatstroke is not fun.
I'll have a look after I finish replying to the comments, thank you :)
I'm here from Sandy...watching from NZ
There are a lot of days in the office where being outside and sitting in your own sweat sounds like the dream
I too came over from Sandy’s vlog and everything she and Jess said are true!!!! You are hilarious!!! I love love love every time you use the word FUCK!!! I too have a truck drivers mouth!! Whomever said they cannot understand you needs to get their hearing checked!!!! You are concise and to the point..have you considered stand up comedy? You are a lamb JEDI! Thanks for what you do! Have a wonderful holiday and stay COOL!
First loving the content
You are hilarious, Tara!! 😂😂😂😂
Sleep ranch does a lot on horse back an so does 1880 drifters, love what your doing an I found you from Sandi Brock
Thank you for that recommendation, and welcome to the channel :)
I sincerely wonder if you could put up a slug moistening video montage to some Benny hill type music how the views would go 😂
Great idea!
😂😂😂
In the north there's plenty of stations that still use horses
Hi re mustering on horses yes a few stations in NZ do it I think Molesworth and Mt White google it
Cheers great channel
Wow I didn’t know they did across the ditch!
Painted Desert Ranch is Northern Arizona horse and cattle ranch and they do horseback gathering of horses and cattle.
Much love from west plains Missouri ❤
Your the best love 💘
Lovely video as always. I'm curious, what part of the young ewes do you keep to breed next year (or the year after I suppose? I don't know at what age you start breeding sheep)? And what happens after the 7 year color cycle for the eartags, do you only keep sheep for 7 years?
Very sorry if you've covered this in your others videos, must have missed it.
We keep the primeline ewes to breed, because we’re moving away from the first cross and merinos.
Our primelines born in June will lamb first next September.
The sheep stay until they loose their teeth or health declines. After the cycle you just start again, you can tell by looking at sheep if they’re 1 or 7.
Aw Tara I can bring my horse ( Kate moss….she has a gap in her teeth🤭) and we can make a video of me and Kate herding your sheep 🤣. It would go viral………but……
I just found this video about Sandi Brock watching! Lol sorry Tara. I missed it some how. @tarafarms
I came over from Sandy's channel. And I absolutely love how you shut down those a holes that want to bring you down. 😅 no shi%$ given. Love it!
Bloody good looking dog thst and your not too bad ya self and that you for being up front and tell it how it is people in the city just do not understand life on the land. Pity this wasn`t available when i was commercial fishing the great barrier reef.
