  • A video recording of Mr. Jackie Leroy Wilson performing his R&B classic hit "Lonely Teardrops". Also included is a rare interview by Dick Clark.
Jackie was one of several Rock and Roll guest artists invited to appear on Dick Clark's American Bandstand 23rd Birthday TV Special. This TV special was broadcasted on ABC-TV on May 9th, 1975. Sadly, within just a few months Jackie would collapse on stage during his September 1975 performance in Cherry Hill, NJ.

What an interview. A class act indeed. Love both of these legends. I will always appreciate Dick Clark for allowing a platform for R&B artists.

Great footage. Reminds me of Sam Cooke how he speaks and his use of words.
