      No one has dominated the sport so early in their strongman career like the moose. The closest is mariusz pudzianowski but the dominator has never won the Arnold strongman classic despite being 5x wsm

      I think Mitch also knows that some referees give the down signal easily. It's nothing but a benefit to the athletes, the sport and the refs themselves that they are strict and not lenient.

    Very strict judging from Big Z, but it seemed consistent for all athletes, which is what is the most important!

      He doesn't give anything unless it's 100% controlled. Like he said, it's hard to ref this event, as we've seen before when things get questionable. No room for shenanigans this time. 😄

      Big Z is always one of the strictest judges at every show, which is fine because he applies the same high standards to all the athletes.

      Outstanding Performance! That frame carry was blazing fast!! I’ve seen you do it in your videos many times, but wow, in competition…it was next level!!     Hooper's acknowledging Z's decision and accepting with ZERO crying. Things like that are why he is a great ambassador for the sport and just a good person. Hope Mitch is adding selves in his house, to display all the hardware he will be displaying in the future. Rock on Hoop 🤘😎

      Does seem like a heavy influence in cardio from a young age and then to strongman, has definitely helped. Same with Eddie with his swimming.

      This is why I love Strongman as its not purely 1rm strength but how much of that strength can you hold for time. Hooper looks healthy regardless of what it takes to compete at that level. Brian Shaw as well. Eddie is definetly one heck of a human competting with the big boys but all that extra weight gonna hurt.

    It’s crazy the evolution that strongman has seen. From guys that were just huge everywhere, especially the gut, to a guy like moose, who honestly just looks like a big, strong healthy guy. I think it gives the sport a lot more promotability. Congrats Mitch.

    GG’s Mitchell. When you won WSM last year I didn’t know who you were and I didn’t know how to feel about you. I’ve been a Brian Shaw fan for the last 6 or more years when I discovered strongman. Seeing you come to the Shaw Classic and do what you did and be apart of the end of his career was awesome. You’ve become my favorite current man to watch and your LHBK message as well as your dedication to learning and teaching others is inspiring. Go and get that back to back WSM title for us!

    Mitch got what the great Mariusz had also, he is explosive. Lot's of strongman lacking that and try to brute force through it while an explosive hit from the legs can outclass stronger shoulders by far. That combined with his power is a great receip to win. Great work Mitch!!

    This comment is for future me.. I currently weigh 168lbs at 5'11 ft tall. I just started consistent lifting (two months ago) with pieces of steel from work. I can't afford real weights.
    Let's see how I progress by next year's event.

    This man is fantastic! He's some type of a "cyborg", the way he's taken over strongman! This takes me back to my "Kazmier" days of when I first started watching strongman.       I mean Thor getting back his overhead is the X factor. If Thor can get back to peak he is probably the favorite in any comp he is in. If Thor had the same overhead strength he had before his pec tear he likely would have won
