    I think we should appreciate the gift of sharing the moment with the audience.
    He is not looking for eternity but for this moment at that place in muffat in munich.
    He is a brave and courageous person and a real musician, generous, open minded and fucking good.

      You are right, der stengele. Sometimes we like to make comments just for a narcissistic need and forget that musicians are beautiful people who give us the gift of such happy moments

      The perfect union of classical performance and jazz. Gulda brings out the improvisational impulse behind the works of the great 18th century composers, an age when composers were virtuosi who improvised and when an improvisational style was frequently invoked even in carefully composed music.

    Today I have been listening to a dozen famous pianists playing the 1 mov of K333.
    IMO Gulda is the best.
    The others are surprisingly hooked on excessive speed to show how fast they can play or hooked on distorting the speed, with unnatural speed-ups or out of the blue slowing downs. Others are less regular in their notes.
    Sadly (or not), I have not found every pianist that I had wished, but the interpretation of Gulda is superb.
    Thanks to the postermp 👍 for uploading this video here.

    I am so grateful for this video.... my mom keeps shouting at me after posting any new video "Why do you have again these stupid Adidas shoes...?" (note: I do have quite a nice leather concert shoes in my inventory, of course).
    As she is, always was and always will be a huge fan of Gulda, I will start using this video as an argument.
    (My own reasons: is just the most comfortable, the leather concert shoes have kinda longer spike and I always feel like "my feet does not fit to the pedal, and Im reaching the wooden pillar, and finally - softer sole decreases the chance of "pedal kick" sound when I get a bit more excited)

    I had an LP with Gulda playing Beethoven Bagatelles. I loved it, because, I could hear how Beerhoven experimented with style. The Bagatelles was Beethovens "experimentarium" 💖 Once, I heard Sokolov play a bagatelle and I thought: "1913!". That is how far he could stretch, dear Ludwig!

    Geniales Mozartspiel von Gulda !! Ein goldener, transparenter, kräftiger, polyphoner und enorm dynamischer Klang. Mozart steht zwischen Bach und Beethoven und bei Gulda hört man das sehr gut- er kann ja auch bestens die beiden anderen interpretieren.
    Mozart richtig gut zu spielen, ist sehr schwer. Und es gelingt tatsächlich auch nur sehr wenigen von Top Pianisten. Die meisten lassen Mozart aus. Die Musik Mozarts ist sehr fein, fragil und sehr weiblich. Wer auch Mozart gut spielt, ist Vladimir Horowitz.

      don somaro Gulda has hands of stone. No grace, no charm, no nuance, no sensitivity at all. No taste. Compare his playing to some of the other pianists on RUclips playing the same piece. I play it better than he does.

    • @donsomaro9969
      @donsomaro9969 4 года назад

      @@syourke3 , i totally agree with you. I don't play piano but can distinguish a good pianist form those who are not. Friedrich Gulda is overrated, like Geza Anda, and probably Alfred Brendel too. My favorite piano players are Artur Schnabel, Edwin Fischer, Walter Gieseking and, in a very particular way, Glenn Gould, who was not only a metronomic pianist but a superfine interpreter of Bach, Brahms and XX century music...
