    Необыкновенно чистый,хрустальный звук...Чтобы так зазвучал инструмент нужно иметь подобное сознание...ясность, четкую направленность мысли...чистоту помыслов...Я просто очарована...Это безусловно прошлый век...Как мало музыкантов сейчас, способных исполнять Гайдна так совершенно, как это делает пианист экстра класса Григорий Соколов...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    I have heard him three times in the concert hall of art-museum Louisiana north of Copenhagen, Denmark..... but, alas - the best places (places on the balcony) are reserved for people in wheelchairs and such. It is NOT going to be changed! (sigh!) Personally, I´d be willing to pay extra to be allowed on the balcony.

    Gosh, I love GS playing and I love Haydn piano sonatas. But, these are among the weaker of his sonatas. They are just boring IMO. It is the first thumbs down to GS I have given.

    • @metteholm4833
      @metteholm4833 5 лет назад +5

      Haydn was a very imaginative composer - as GS is a most imaginative pianist! Listen to his handling of the "kinetic" energy in Haydn. Pure joy to listen to!

      So, just because you don't like these Haydn sonatas you give Sokolov's excellent performance of these works a "thumbs down"?? Why on earth would you do such a thing?

      @ jonathan bein : non, ce sont de belles sonates. Vous pouvez aussi les écouter au "pianoforte" par Paul Badura-Skoda... Mais cette interprétation est fabuleuse

      Unfortunately, your comment is as inaccurate as to fact as it is mistaken in judgement.
      That said, if the music and/or performance doesn’t speak to you - rather like food or colours you like or dislike - it’s a personal subjective opinion, and that’s fine.

    • @jonathanbein5559
      @jonathanbein5559 Год назад

      @@elaineblackhurst1509 with all respect, I love Haydn piano sonatas, play several of them, and plan to learn more. My opinion is not about fact or not, nor am I mistaken in judgement. Just my opinion.

    I have only heard Mr. Sokolov play in-person once since I am American and he doesn't come to my country. However, I was at the concert that he played these sonatas in Koln as I decided to fly over to hear him. At the first note of Haydn in the great Koln Philharmonie, I realized what everyone was talking about with this artist. Pure magic which transports the listener. Thank you for posting as this sound comes close to heard, sitting in the hall. What a memory I have of this concert.

    I get the sense that Haydn had more ideas in his brain than he ever had time to get out onto paper. His creativity and output seems effortless. I get this just from listening to his music - I don’t actually know anything about his life. I might have to read a biography of his now.

      We have lost 7 of his piano sonatas. Probably, 7 great works in the style of the D major XVI:19, both A flat major and c minor sonatas. This lose is a great tragedy.
