    Thank you for the tutorial. To continue on the note of PlanetOSM being insane. PlanteOSM sends a compressed file (bz2) the actual file is about 2 terabytes.

      How do you use the planet osm in qgis? Is the data separated into layers or shapefiles so you can turn off what layers you dont want?

    What about importing a map.osm file? How do you do that in the same way, with QuickOSM queries?
