- It appears there was some lobbying for a Mitch Marner trade by a former Toronto Maple Leafs player. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti give their thoughts on a report from Nick Kypreos that Ryan O'Reilly was pushing the Nashville Predators to make a deal for Marner. If the Leafs had really believed that they had to trade Marner, or Tavares, Willie, or anyone else, they would have been traded. Its about committed direction. What's clear is the Leafs either don't want to Trade Marner, or are divided on the subject.

Mitten and Cowan should be 4 liners with PP/PK #2 time. Move them up to 3rd line when ready. Robertson is missing out on great opportunity signing 1/2 year contract would be smart.

Marner to Nashville. Here is a question. Did O'Reilly ask Marner if he was interested? IDK, if a player does it, is it tampering? If it is possible he did, that might suggest Marner might go somewhere else if the place was right.

Trading Tavares, Reilly, Kampf, and Brodie would be the way to go. Tavares and Reilly are both soft and horrible passers and selfish.
