When I swapped my wheel I struggled with a flathead for a minute trying to get those airbag clips from the rear then got a tip to use a t20 Torx driver. So much easier to pry those clips open and didn't have to worry about slipping and jabbing anything with a bladed\sharp edge. Worked great. The new wheel looks awesome man! Love the white stitching.
The wheel looks great dude. All Audi S / RS models should have stuck with the flat bottom steering wheels, imo. Miss those days with random Dr Brown bottles everywhere, haha!
Thanks man! And I agree.. it should be a strict standard, circle wheels are just so gross to me now. And the wheel was so hard it wasn't very nice to touch. As for the bottles I'm enjoying every minute of it! I now understand what people have been telling me for years.. she's only two months old and has changed and grown so much already it blows my mind!
Right on!! Dude you're going to love it! Surprised on how much more sporty the car feels and confidence it inspires just having a nice wheel to hold on to
Hell yeah Bryce, the wheel looks really good, whenever they send you the updated wheel throw in some new paddles then, I can’t wait to get a flat bottom wheel!
I spoke to the dealer because there's no flat bottom. They said it has stuff for the lane keep in there. I don't get why they couldn't have made space in the flat bottom one.
Did you ever get the auto steering thing sorted out? I swapped my wheel for a nice flat bottom but it does not have the space for the box etc… sos light on 24/7 ugh
You could (and probably should..)for sure.. when I worked at VW they didn't even have us take the terminals ooff for airbag recalls.. apparently no power goes to bag if the car isn't running. I didn't bother, but I'm also not a prime example of a safe by the book guy so take that for what it's worth lol
Do you get a code ? I’m trying to find an aftermarket wheel but it’s really difficult finding one with the vibration and lane assist sensors, I should mention I don’t use it so not at a loss if it doesn’t work … don’t want dash lights
Yup they can do anything pretty much. They’re all china made and all coming from pretty much the same factory, just pick whatcha want and they’ll cook it right up!

That's actually a way better idea honestly! That's what I'm doing next time lol! And thanks, it really should've been similar from the factory!
Man that did come out good! At least that box wasn't anything super necessary to drive it and you can still rock that wheel in the mean time!
Yeah I'm already used to not having the auto drive, shits gonna get me in trouble anyways lol win win I suppose 😂

As always Bryce thank you for sharing. I’m now making my own wheel and will order today! I’m doing the same spec as this one for my golf r

It makes a world of difference man! Definitely recommend getting one, really makes the driving experience as a whole tons better!
thank you 🙏
Hi, is it possible to replace the round steering wheel with ADAS with the flat one? Audi s3 8y. Thanks
the steering wheel was one of my bets mods on my GTI, although i love my S3 wheel, ill prob upgrade it later on down the line.
It's great stuff man! Can't wait to get some paddles, a decent multi gauge in the cabin and I'll be set for the interior 👌🏾
Huge improvement bro, but this mod is not for the faint hearted! Man, so much electronic mumbo jumbo going on these days. It's insane..
True that.. and it's only going to get worse!
Hello! Does the steering wheel is heated?
No my car didn’t come with that
Hey did you find a way to clear the SOS white light - emergency assist?
Yes you gotta go into obd11 or similar and tell the car it doesn’t have it. It’s simple. Do you have IG? I can send you the screenshot
@@BryceJordanProductions I sent you a DM on IG
Cheers!

I’m sure these guy could.. I just don’t think they know how to

Hello friend, where did you buy the airbag cover?
Same people I got the wheel from! Any of the china shops that make these wheels will make an airbag cover as well
@@BryceJordanProductions I'm going crazy and I can't find our model, I bought one that was apparently the same, but it had more clips
Dope ass wheel. Youre more experienced than i am, but should one pull the battery before removing airbag? Or is it unlikely to cause issues either way

Hi, how can you code out the lights
Can they do it for my 2020 SQ8 but with the R8 buttons? I live in Europe and I’m looking for a steering wheel like yours 🙏🙏🙏
Yup they can do anything pretty much. They’re all china made and all coming from pretty much the same factory, just pick whatcha want and they’ll cook it right up!
Yo I have a 8y can you send me the link to this one?
This company doesn’t do them anymore, just pick a random one they all come from the same factory in china lol
@@BryceJordanProductions but they don’t the ones that need to fit our 8y are way different than the 8V
always disconnect the battery... it is prolly safer that way!
We didn’t even disconnect them at the dealer, but yes I agree you should
Clean tho
Thank ya 😎 I’m an oem+ kinda guy
Looks like the company no longer has Audi wheels on their site :/
Interesting I was not aware of that, might just be a temp thing
@@BryceJordanProductions I hope! Prices seem fair.
