      @Iskelderon is that a pro or a contra argument to Station wagons? 😄
      Trailer hitches are a common feature in Europe and people who occasionally carry wood and stuff have little trailers that do the same job as truck beds

      A modern 3-series touring has a larger interior space than the X3. Trunk on the X3 is only 50 liters larger.

      @Iskelderon 15 часов назад +1

      @@beratsbuilds The crappy aerodynamics of a trailer wastes a ton of energy that then doesn't go into actual towing. A hitch is just a plan P you have on your car for the rare cases where the internal storage isn't enough.
      And most people who own a pickup don't own it for the cargo option, but because they need a penis prosthesis.

    Every time I watch one of your BMW based videos I'm reminded of a great short story by Roald Dahl called The Fingersmith. I won't spoil the details, but it involves a guy who just bought a brand new, now vintage, BMW and picks up a hitch hiker on the way home to show it off. It's definitely worth a read even if you're not into BMWs. it's just my favorite short story of all time.

    Fun fact: my mother was starting her first job at BMW and completed her " Berufsausbildung" in the early 90s. from the mid 90s till 2015 she worked there. and after i told her, for my first car i wanted an e36, doesnt matter what model or engine, she looked at me with disgust, because she worked on the assembly lines of the e36s and it made her feel really old😂

    As a California E30 325i Touring owner, who went through the BAR certification process, I suggest you do your engine swap prior to certification if that's the plan. You don't want to spend a small fortune on all the testing, locked in as an M52B20, and then have to go through the process all over again after swapping something else in.

    I had every body style of the E36 and my favourite by far was the Compact. Not by the way it looks, but by the way it drives. The E30 style rear end makes it more lively, combined with a M52 it is still one of my favs among the 3 series cars. The 323ti was the first production car with a butterfly valve exhaust (which made the back box unbelievably expensive).

    As a volvo wagon guy... I'm a hurge BMW fan. If I ever can give up my addiction to Volvos... I'd love to try a BMW someday.

    E46 center consoles fit surprising well in the E36 and it gets you two cup holders that function very well. also adds that little storage compartment in the arm rest. the arm rest from the E46 directly bolts in the same exact spot in the E36. N54 swap that thing! then do I dare say mate it to a 8HP ZF!

    Europeans totally get wagons, from T5 Volvo’s and Audi RS2’s to RS6’s and Mercedes AMG’s, they have been the got too practical sports rides until the SUV market took off but they are still popular… its the US that has never seen the love for the Avant/Wagon/Estate.

    Guys, this hurts.
    I used to own a Madeiraviolett E36 323i touring, black leather, on staggered M-Contour wheels plus a stainless steel exhaust.
    Absolutely adored that car, it is such a beautiful shape.
    Sold it because our second child was on the way, got an E39 touring after that, never really bonded with it like I did with the E36…

    You can tell it was a good choice because of the pixels. Hooray wagons!

    Back in the early 2000's it was us doing "midnight modding" at our favorite shop A1 Autobody with Wayne in Huntington Beach. Those were the days.
