Instead of preparing every design individually (which can be time-consuming), I suggest ensuring that you create your designs to fit within the required printable format specified by the supplier, which is often 4500x5500 pixels at 300 dpi. By doing so, you save yourself from the time-consuming task, and you can ensure that your designs will always maintain the size and placement you have chosen. I use this approach, and it works perfectly fine for me.
@trangluuha2034How is Merchize. You are the first person I have seen that use them. I saw a few reviews for them, but people weren’t that happy with them. I would really like to ry them, but am worried, especially about the shopping.
@trangluuha2034 Thanks for the info! How is the quality of the colors in the prints by Merchize? On Printify, when you select the 'realistic' image option in RGB to see how it will; look on the product, especially the color pink seems to be a problem, it turns into purple which completely ruined the design.
I actually had my hubby write me a similar script when I had a position where I had to generate THOUSANDS (literally, to exaggerating) of digital ads for 20 car dealerships. It took it from being like a 8 hour process for 20 dealerships to like 10 mins for all of them. It was WILD. I had thought something like this had to have been possible but just haven't put the effort into looking into it. So grateful I saw your video pop up! Definitely going to play around with it and maybe get my husband to help me tailor it if I need. Now if only there was some way to automate etsy listings, the last tedious bit!
I was just typing in "alek mockup" today in the morning, because i wanted to start my mockup business and wondered if there is any new video you made. And now 13 min ago you posted this video! This is so fascinating for me right now! :D Thank you very much!! For me its a sign to get started!
THIS IS INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much. I spend SO much time editing my mock ups and this is honestly exactly what I needed to increase my listing numbers.
Total beginner over here. You videos are so helpful and informative and fun to watch. Yesterday learned Figma and today I was able to create 30 mockups in a few minutes. So proud of myself. Thank you so much. Can’t wait for the scrip to upload to Printefy. I am lazy in nature and am looking forward to it. Unless you already did it and I just have not found it.
Alek what you're doing is so inspirational, since discovering your channel less than a month ago it has given me the confidence to start selling my own work. I've literally opened three shops since watching your earlier videos. Fantastic and empowering work.
So glad I've stumble across your channel... Your content is exactly what I needed to help streamline my daily task for my online business. Its so refreshing watching a video where someone just wants to help other people and not pull the ole bait and switch. :)
Alek you are the RUclips Morpheus helping to fee us all & and a man of your word! You got yourself a subscriber for life! hahaha Thank you for bringing so much value and insight on how we can do the same thing without charging an arm and a leg.
This video is amazing! I am so looking forward to starting my Tshirt design journey. Thank you for cutting the time that we have to dedicate down by so much. Now I can concentrate on just making designs instead of having to figure out each singular mockup. You are a godsend!
Alek!!! You are one brave man. This was technical to say the least…but so well done. Thank you for trying so hard to help so many of us aspiring designers. I have found this to be so challenging, but your videos (which I watch over and over) have been so helpful. Thank you. Please hang in there with us newbies. 😂
What's your suggestion to make sure the product in these external mockups matches exactly the product you're shipping to customers? For example, If I search for mockups of candles, they will most likely look different than what I'm selling
Alek, I'm just getting my head around these wonderful ideas you've been sharing. But I'm confused about the complete picture with all the building blocks (Photoshop, Figma, Midjourney, Printify & Etsy/Shopify). Could you PLEASE share a rough flowchart/pic with what Figma (for example) is nec for in the larger scheme of things? I thought (maybe) PS was the only nec bit for getting images over to Printify. So I'm confused about the need for mockups with Figma. Thank you very much.
I recently purchased photoshop to bulk upscale and remove backgrounds. Now that I see this again I realize I can do it all so quickly! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this invaluable info. Streamlined everything for me. Your the best. Thank you again man
This is freakin awesome! I learned about midjourney from you like a week ago (what can I say, I'm a late bloomer!🤷🏼♀️🥀 ), & I've been having so much fun playing with it. I can't wait to get whatever this formless blob of an idea that has been floating around in my head to crystalise into whatever it's going to be! In the meantime, I'm just rolling with it & enjoying the ride while I learn new things!
Generating mockups is by far one of the most time consuming task. I created a mockup generator myself using similar tech. It's an absolute must. I wonder how large the demand is for such a tool. Especially one with flexibility and easy to customize for different scenarios? Alek are you seeing the demand to prioritize the feature, as mentioned in your video?
Alek, thank you so much for what you do man. You've got me so motivated and I truly appreciate your selfless guidance. Once I make it big, I will make sure I make mentioned of you as part of my mentors.
I remember seeing his scripts for years. Awesome to see you using them. As a long-time PS and Ai user, I still opt for actions in PS but this is a great video. I’ve come up with an incredible script for illustrator that would blow your mind and take this whole system to another level!
This is great stuff!!! I had to watch the previous design tutorial video over and over again to learn how to use Figma since I'm used to using Canva and Pixlr to create my designs. This stuff seams like it's way over my head until I try it over and over again. I did figure out how to do the distressed overlay for the block text in Figma, thank you for that. There are a lot of designs I can create now that I wouldn't have been able to before watching your videos. I may have to watch this one a bunch of times, but I know once I get it down this will save so much time in the long run.
I’m so so so thankful. I’m learning UX design and have to use Figma and cool how Alex just basically teach me how to use Figma and potentially hustling with Etsy all together lol

Hey Alek! Thanks for sharing lots of great info and tips! For the creating mat, how would be use it if we are selling digital prints? Would we need to use a different type? Sorry, this is all new to me! Thank you!
QUESTION.......Can you create the designs in Photoshop and add padding to them that way so the design is in the correct place? I am just not familiar with Figma and I prefer to use Photoshop since I already have a CC subscription.
Hi Alek, Thank you so much for this tutorial, it is helping me prepare to launch my side hustle. I have been watching religiously and noticed you use Figma a lot but I have been utilizing Canva, How do I ensure my designs are in the right position when using designs imported from Canva, please. Thank you in advance!
I have a background in magazine design but it was from 20 years ago! It has been a daunting task to get up and running and reteach myself all of the software and apps. I came across your channel and haven't looked back. I am very excited to revisit this part of my life and I feel I can have success based on what you have taught and created. I do have a question tho: when I create a new design in figma, what resolution should it be?
Very helpful! As a person with intermediate user of smart objects. And very valuable point about external harddrives - something I learned the hard way. :)
Does the mockups that we buy can be used for Printify mockups? The Printify have different t shirts designs for example, Prinity may not have same mockup that we buy from other sites like Etsy, freepik etc..
I have a question about mockups vs. printify. It looks like the mockups are different than what is available for print on demand on printify. How do I make sure that the mockup matches the type of t-shirt/sweater/etc that printify is actually going to send the client?
You are awesome! Thanks so much. Was wondering what adjustments to make for a mockup that as two images(more than one layer e.g. frame mockup featuring sets/bundles)?
So the mockups folder is where you need to have the predone template .PSB files that Alek creates in the first stage of the video. Working off of Alek's folder setup "Automated Mockups" is the parent folder that all other folders live in, "Mockups" contains the mockup templates, "obj0" contains the images you want to apply and "Export" is where you output to. Hopefully that makes sense ?
Hey Alek, I tried downloading the mock up script thing and it didn't work. I don't know how to explain why it didn't work but I am on a Mac and it is just a blank file or something. Please help? Thx.
Hi Alek thanks for all the value you provide to all of us ...I have one question about this one though I downloaded the script but my mac doesn't want to open it it says I do not have an application that supports this file any advice ? is that for anyone else ?
Thank you Alek! I am a beginner at this and not super computer saavy, however, I have taken a couple online classes so not everything you said was foreign. I am so happy I came across your videos. I am confident that I will be successful with your help! I know I will be watching this video at least 10 times if not more to understand everything. I also take notes. Again...Thank you!
Hi Alek, I love this video and the script, thank you so much. The only issue I have come across (and apologies if this has already been covered) is that your image must be set as a background to work. Easiest way to do that is to go to "Layer - New - Background from Layer" with your required image layer selected
Ok I figured it out: In line 176 I added --> dlg.msgPnl.EditImage.st.value = true; Same after fit image line --> dlg.msgPnl.FitImage.st.value = true; Investigating the forum I found messages from JJMack and I almost cried 😢😢
Instead of having to offset every design because PS automatically aligns to the top of xy axis (0:0), why do any of that when you could Set your original rectangle in figma to the offset position (the red rectangle and down a bit on where it's placed on PS)?
I wrote this same functionality in a nodejs mini app. All you have to do is set the coords for the top left corner of the mockup placement and the width height the mockup placements should be and hit run. 200 mockups from designs in less than 2 mins. Only problem is it cant read the actual text of the design so has to use the name of the design image file.
Thank you Alek for a great video! I really enjoy your work and there is a lot to learn from you always. Keep it up! And yes I am still waiting on your etsy challenge update, hopefully I get to see it soon.
Where is the previous video Alek to watch before this one? Could you send a link? You're the best by the way! Thank you so much for sharing all your content. Kindest regards/ Chris
@@alekSheffyany idea how to make this work if the smart object has to be angled slightly to better suit the mock-up? Designs come out straight rather than matching the smart object angle?
Hi.Alex I have been watching all your videos but I am a hard time using Figma. How do you overlay the mockup ? Also do you download the mockup from adobe version on psg format? Anyone here can help me?
Signing up for Printify helps me out 🤙try.printify.com/alek
Just signed up ! Thank you for all the knowledge and content you provide . You rock !
Wait, why did you remove me from discord??? 🥺
Hey Alek,
True beginner, how do you make an overlay in Figma?
Do you know of a script for multiple smart objects mockups for things like wall art
NM i take it back it does do multiple objects read the code *drools* thank you so bloody much

Much love 🙏 Sadly I don't think so, you might be able to set up repeat actions but this will be much easier.
I can’t drag and this is my first time trying .. like I tried but this just put me behind… I was so pumped 😢
Man this was so helpful! I got behind on my current t-shirt logo trend and this helps me scale so much faster!!!
Are you using Windows or a different computer OS?
Hi, would you be able to explain how to put the script into photoshop, im on windows and i cant get it to work, thanks

This is awesome!! Great job! New to pod because of you and your super helpful vids. Thank you for all you do and for sharing with the rest of us.
Thanks for that 🙏
@@alekSheffyany idea how to make this work if the smart object has to be angled slightly to better suit the mock-up? Designs come out straight rather than matching the smart object angle?
Hi.Alex I have been watching all your videos but I am a hard time using Figma. How do you overlay the mockup ? Also do you download the mockup from adobe version on psg format? Anyone here can help me?
Game Changer! 👏🏼👏🏼
What about making the object a 3-D object so it works in the shape of the thing like a mug automatically
Looking forward to your next business update
