I just received mine, for my Sony A6400. It is terrific! It is so tiny. It is only half a stop slower than my go-to lens (16-70, f/4, Sony/Zeiss). I am very impressed by the quality of the photos I took both indoors and outside. It is sharp in the center and has lovely character. I did have some chromatic aberration around tree upper branches, but Lightroom will fix that.
Viltrox is producing some really good lenses lately at fabulous prices. These images look sharp for such aa small lens.. i hope they bring it out for the Nikon Z cameras.
@@bamsemh1 you should build one. 4.5 boring? If you can't do it with 4.5, 1.4 - 2.8 won't help you either, because you're incapable of making images work.
What do you think of the image this lens can capture?

Great to hear. I’m glad it’s been so good for you.

They really are. I’ve been quite impressed and honoured to be part of their journey. I’m hopeful for the z series too 🤞
Should have been f2.8, with that size.
It couldn’t have been that thin but I do agree although a constant f2.8 might be quite frustrating.
@@RalphMayhewPhotography constant 4.5 is boring. No bokeh (f1.2-2.8) or stars (f11-16).
