Jess, I got my wife a guardian bell and she doesn't ride a motorcycle but however she has it hanging on her rearview mirror in her Mustang... She says when she looks at it, it reminds her of how much I love her and I want her to be safe ! Guardian Bells are a very special and its always from someone's heart ! My daughter Shelby got me a new one this past Christmas and its a Bigfoot guardian bell cause she knows I like bigfoots.... I know it sounds stupid but it really means a lot to me that she cared that much cause she is really not into the motorcycle thing.... So hold on to them because they are given from the heart !
I totally understand about the bell. I bought my sportster brand new in 2002 and a friend of mine bought me a bell and it’s still on there. In 2015 I bought a 2008 deluxe. I bought it from a dude in S.C. and I’m from Western new York I had to go pick it up. I got it for next to nothing with very little mileage on it. He asked me if I wanted him to take the bell off I told him no I know it was bought for him but I did not want to jinx myself since he never had any issues. Stay safe Jess. 😎✌🏼

If you ever make it out to Bodega Bay California. North of town is the Bell Tower . People donated hundreds of bells from all over the world. When wind kicks up sand they all start ringing . So cool. Google it some time.

I was out riding with my grandson on his chopper and it was 35 F. It was a cold, but BEAUTIFUL day riding in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State.
45 degrees! I envy you being able to ride that cold. I used to ride even when it was below 0. I just can't take it much below 55 anymore. Too much snow in the AZ mountains right now to ride anyway. Over 2 feet on the ground this morning. I'm not riding or driving for a few days at least 'til it melts off. I never got into the bell thing. In fact I never hear of them 'til maybe the 90s. Maybe a shadow box to display them? Enjoy your gifts and ride safe.
HEY TW, set up a little tree (table top Christmas) and put your guardian bells on it as an ornaments. I keep a tree up in my Harley room that has ornaments from places I have been to over the years. I just like it!

Ah yes the cooler climates. My low was 35 id go for a ride and I wouldn't go out if it got above 105 degrees. Anything climate except snow and rain I would not go out. Great ride today. Take care.

We used to have a Harley Christmas tree. We collected all the HD tank ornaments and other HD ornaments and it was my most favorite tree. You could use your guardian bells as ornaments. Just a thought

March 3, and it was 68and sunny here in eastern Kansas today! So a ride to the Harley dealer had to happen! Wind therapy!! And of course a goodly sum of funds was left... 🤷🏻♂️
Completely with you on that one. I have had my Yamaha Raider since new approximately 13 years. No guardian bell on it and I thank God 🙏 never had an incident with it.

My bell is a tribute bell to my Nephew who was killed in Kuwait 4 years ago I wouldn’t have one but my friend who also I was in the service gave it to me now every time I hear it it reminds me of him may yours ring for a great reason as well

Odd... I have the Atlas 2.0 Toxin and don't have any whistle... I have the plugs too and haven't put them in... Coldest I've rode with it was 19 but I had a balaclava to try to keep my neck warm hehe

My kids gave me a guardian bell and it's beautiful but like you I don't keep it on the bike. I am not superstitious but I just feel like it's doing something just because....I don't know if that makes sense. The sentiment is wonderful and I have kept it on my day pack to remind me of my kids. Great video.

Gloves... Yes, we bikers get excited over mundane things other's (non-bikers) think common. lol The last pair of gauntlets I bought was a pair of Icon Timax mid length gloves. I've worn them three times and still own them. When I was into cruisers I hated the lack of tactile feel with full gloves. I usually went fingerless. Now that I am more into the ADV world the extra protection is more important. As a testament to the Icons, I still have them. They still look new. And if I do hit any trails\gravel I will have them along.
hey Jess some people refer to those guardian bells also as gremlin bells to keep the bad juju away, if you don't use one and have a bunch of them, maybe a wind chime would be nice :)
