@@ionageman From other video's I've seen, the garage is beneficial for working on the bike during in climate weather. or just to keep prying eyes off of your stuff.
Being able to stand up inside is a must for me. Plus I like the extra space when staying in one place for a few days. (Plenty of room for food prep when windy/rainy) The Adv tent would be great if your on the move every day though.
I recommend tilting the bike to the opposite side of the living room. If the ground under the sidestand softens, the motorcycle will not fall on you while you sleep.
I have enjoyed the garage tent for ten years now and love it. I'm 73 and still ride and camp. Beds aren't much better than the ground, and having the bike in the garage gives peace of mind when you hear noises during the night!
@@martincowley3503 I've had it so long I forgot the name but it is a foam filled Airmattrus, unroll, let it foam expand, blow in a little more air and close the valve for a comforting pad. Open the valve and roll up squeezing the air out of the foam and close the valve to keep it tight!
I have not seen a sissy bar in a long, long time. 1971 I had a chopped BSA in burnt orange, ape hanger handlebars, highway pegs, and about a 3.5 foot sissy bar shaped like a devils tail. Freaking wow. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks Jess for sharing about this tent. I have been contemplating buying the lone rider tent for a while. I have a 2 person Nallo Hilleberg tent that I have to get down on my hands and knees to get into it and at almost 70 years of age it is getting a little bit much for me. I already have bought a Suzuki DRZ400S because my Honda NC700X is to heavy for me to lift up if I drop it. Bad back and knees just don't like doing all of that crawling and lifting stuff.
I use the opposition tent to the Lone rider tent, the garage is definitely a bonus, the only suggestion I would make is when parking the bike on the side stand, always put something under the side stand foot so that it doesn’t sink into the ground and ALWAYS lean your bike away from the sleeping vestibule.... great video ...
If you and your husband split up the big tent into smaller bags then the size issue is solved. I do this with my big Eureka tent when I hike with the kids and it works well. You carry the pole bag, footprint, and rain fly and the other carries the tent and accessories. Anyway those look well made and the zippers are very smooth. Great video!
Jess, My ATV is to deliver tomorrow. You don’t have to roll the doors,/windows, they tuck on top of the mesh liner or tuck into the pockets. Check out the video on Lone Rider’s site of the Aussie female rider.
I wish I would have seen your video three days ago. I just ordered my ripstop fabric to make a smaller Campfire/Baker tent for my motorcycle camping. I raised my children canoe camping in a canvas campfire tent I made in Montana. This smaller lighter tent will be for my Lady and I. I've used a solo tent and my LUXE tarp for years. This garage tent is a four season tent that I seriously considered. It would fit in my drag sled for Xcountry ski trips or snow shoeing. Cold camping with my son would be comfortable even with the tall ceiling. Thank You for showing both tents. Their quality is evident. I look forward to seeing you in October for Forgotten Angels camp out. Maybe with the larger tent? Do take care, You're in my prayers. Hoka Hey
With the doors either side makes it a better view. I like I’m tall and I can walk without crawling helps. Looks like only two wheels but that’s great! Love some camping but I my wife likes hotels or RV’s. The big tent as the small isn’t for us as older riders.
Enjoy the authenticity you bring. As for the tents, I'm more in the minimalist camp with an MSR Hubba Bubba 2 person. It weighs about 3 lbs and packs smaller than a loaf of bread. Light and waterproof were the determining factors. Durable...well it is light lol. I used a piece of 6mm poly for a ground sheet to protect the tents floor. No problems over the last several years from Baja to Labrador to the Negev.
Some pretty nice looking tents there young lady. I prefer the smaller tent for a couple of reasons. First of course, is price while the second is fit. I can't imagine my road glide fitting in there in any way that would be practical. Enjoy your summer camping adventures.
From personal experience motocamping in a small tent in the rain (that failed in the waterproof department miserably) and my buddy had a "garage style" tent - I WILL BE PURCHASING ONE!! Thanks for the great review!
I like em both adv tent looks easy and like you said if the weather is gonna be iffy that BAT ( big ass tent) would be awesome 👍 Nice you get to put them threw there paces have fun.
Wow. I am very impressed with both of these tents! The ADV tent looks perfect for long trips with one night only stops, and the Garage tent looks perfect for multi day campsites. I love the height of the large tent. Thanks for this!!
Two issues are 1) cost at 605$ out of stock in US until April. 2) At 7 feet 11 inch garage will not fit my 2018 electra glide ultra classic at 8 feet 5 inches. BUT if you're bike fits I would buy it in a heartbeat. I tent with a cot (better on my back) and am looking for just this setup.
I have the garage tent and have had it for a while. Used it camping and loved it. Its definitely over the top, for price and the idea of minimalistic camping. No real necessity to have the garage to roll it in and cover it up unless it starts to rain. Great quality though, LoneRider definitely created this to last out in the lonesomeness.
Both look like Awsome tents . Just a thought . Drive the bike in from opposite direction , so bike leans away from sleep area . Just in case bike falls it would do so away from sleep area .
Take my money, I’m definitely going to purchase the one with the garage. Like you said. Extra space if the weather is good. Or bad weather , you can cover the bike. Lone rider nailed it. Thanks for the review and putting the dyna inside it.
Nice! I just bought something similar, yesterday. Except it's a shuttle bus. With a wheelch..... Motorcycle lift. Ok, not the same. But, for the same purpose. Plus, I have a mobile workshop, for helping people with bike trouble, at events, and such.
I bought a copy of the Mototent (not Loner Rider but it looks the same) in the January sales and I cant wait to try it out! Watching you sent yours up has me looking out the window and checking on the weather - just 2 more weeks of the wind and rain and we should be golden! Fancy coming over to the Welsh mountains for Easter.?
You still put up the second on your own 👍most time’s you’ll get help when with your friends those anchor points come out too far on the bigger tent and can be difficult to see at night when you’ve had a few to many.speaking from experience of course another great review Jess ❤️🇬🇧
Nice tents, (bigger is better) and lovly video with great editing...After watching your video I'm probably able to set-up my new tent :-)...Thank you!!!
well, i don't have a bike yet but so far the larger one is definitely a seller to me. you can put your bike in there without really worrying about morning dew or even rain getting all over the seat, bags, etc. very good intro to new products.
Those tents look really cool!!! Set up didn’t look to bad at all!!! And I think my Street Glide would fit in the garage area!!! Can’t wait to see your new camping adventures!!!
Wow, 11 years ago I camped in Needles for the Laughlin River run , it was pretty miserable , thanks , I 'm also 5' 7" , so you're a great tent tester ! ! ! Ha ha ha . . .
Great presentation Jess. If I was to go camping, yes the larger one would be for me. As it stands my idea of camping would be a stay at the Ritz Carlton or equivalent. tsk tsk. The prices for fuel and motels, I'm told, out west are climbing at a rapid pace. Might have to stick around a little longer but can always enjoy myself watching your videos. Take care.
Thank you for your review Jess. Before Corona I went almost every year camping, car and player guild meetups tho, as I am no motorcyclist. A friend has a big one with a "garage", I like that, because you can dry wet clothes there easily and in the evening you can sit there with camping chairs talking to your buddy while it is raining outside. My friend also like to use it for his bike. You can put this one to many uses. 💪😎
I've had a garage tent for some years now and (apart from being able to fully stand up to get my leathers on), the most useful part is where with the help of some extra poles the garage doors can be lifted up to provide awnings. Sitting in the open protected from the rain or baking sun is the best thing ever after a day's ride. Take down the inner and I've had 6 people comfortably sat in there of an evening. And once another riders tent broke and with a borrowed groundsheet, 4 of us slept in there with more than plenty of room to spare
Those are some nice tents, I always used a tarp over my tent since the nylon was so thin in big rain it soak right through, it only had the little rain flap that covered the roof vents. That garage looks like it fit a Road Glide or Street Glide at least by the width wise. Have fun and be safe.
Both are great tents ⛺️ ⛺️ , thank you showing them ... went tenting by myself and woke up to 100 spiders inside of tent most of them in point on top in early morning so I bounce outside of tent and watch 100s of more spiders all heading to top point of tent , weird part was not one spider on me when I woke up. Have you experience anything like that at all???
Love when you brought Harley around in to the tent it was completely hidden behind the tent.. Nice.. ;-) I do like the ADV tent more, but that's just me, but I can definitely see a use for the bigger tent as well, all that useable space..... Kind of a shame that I've just spent a small fortune on a Big Agnes tent (which I've only used for one night of camping as I've used my hammock more).
Which tent do YOU like best?
Lone Rider: bit.ly/3rCkMaB
I really like the garage tent, but I also like the small tent and would probably consider the smaller tent for easier to pack for travel.👍🏻👍🏻
I use the adv .. ease of setup and the roomy design .. I don’t know why people would use a garage .. rather than a cover
The 1 with a Garage !

I have a sidestand plate for soft ground but its a valid point you make.
My biggest concern is having a tank full of fuel inside the tent with me.
Jeez, I never thought about THAT!
I have enjoyed the garage tent for ten years now and love it. I'm 73 and still ride and camp. Beds aren't much better than the ground, and having the bike in the garage gives peace of mind when you hear noises during the night!

Great. Thx for sharing
Congrats on your new tent! It's so woderful!
I like the both of them. They look awesome. Be good and be safe!!

Awesome review! I love these tents.... @12:25 LOVED THE LITTLE GIRL SCREAM!!!! Can't wait to see you put these through their paces!
I am an older motorcyclist so I like the taller motorcycle tent. The garage is a neat feature as well.
That is such a kick azz tent, I can't believe what they have come up with for campers.
I love both of the tents, but I already bought tents. But now I know what to buy when I go through mine. Thank you for sharing.
Those are awesome.
Very good very good . Liked both.🤓
After last years rain storm I am loving that big tent. Just to be able to sit outside during a rain is awesome
I will get one for sure! Great video! Greetings from Spain
I like how the zippers are red for easy detection.
Love the tent with the garage. Need the added living height at my age as well. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the awesome video. I've been looking at different options for moto camping. Cant wait for the weather to get warmer.
Thanks for the review! I would recommend to park the bike the other way, so it leans to the other side of the tent.
Thanks for this video. Please keep us updated on their durability.
Those New Tents look great Jess,,,,, good video,,🌲🌲👍😎
