I thought I was prepared... Motorcycle Camping trip!

- I thought I was prepared for this motorcycle camping trip! In this video I embark on my first #motorcyclecamping trip of the new year! Also the first trip with my Triumph Scrambler AND using all new camping gear! My biggest battle was with the quickly dwindling sunlight and keeping my lower body warm. (I forgot my thermal pants for sleeping) Regardless of the light, frozen hands, and long walk to the bathroom, this motorcycle camping trip taught me a lot of how to better prepare for my next trip!

MAY Hopefully if they let us this year
Oh,where ? Just near by
Close to the city I'm at we have this camping festival at the 2nd weekend of May I believe
North Carolina.
Good camping,, Jess,,,cold but fun,,👍👍🌲🌲😎
I’d like to go up to Tennessee from Florida. That would be a nice ride. Great video. Steak and beer?! Do you have a sister that’s single? Lol!
In April I will be going camping on the Gulf coast of Biloxi, Mississippi. So far I have plans for three to different areas around Mississippi. Just won't have the time for long trips in 2021. I do want to get up to the KRiver campground in Oklahoma by spring of 2022.
I'm a disabled man that will never be able to ride a bike. No problem through you I've been able to see the open road and I feel like I'm right there with you. Thank you so much you are amazing and you have a fan for life.
Right there with you! Same here! Riding is a dream but a reality I’ll not get to live but I can live through these!
Magnifique !!!
Thinking of you mate. Greetings from Australia 👍
None of my business but what is your disability? My friends ( mix of engineers/mechanics) are try to reinvent motorcycles so that people with disabilities can get on the road with us. If I'm prying I don't meant too. Just looking for info on wants, needs, ideas, etc.
@@thefifthwheellastwheel1903 My disability is cerebral palsy and yes I would like to help in any way possible.
I love how simplistic moto camping is. A true taste of minimalism.
It’s like back packing, but without all that walking!

more saddle time........got off the couch and jumped on the Harley! Thanks for getting me moving
Thank you for giving me even more inspiration to fight depression and getting a motorcycle to do what you do. Motorcycles and camping is what I love. I really find your videos comforting and inspirational. Please keep doing what you're doing.
if you are depressed get a motorcycle and you will be cured in a very short time
This chris your phone on your bike for phone so it doesn't move on you jess
Hey Jess! I've been a video production teacher for 25 years and I must say you have some amazing b-roll footage and overall skills of filming and editing. The way your shots are set up with composition makes it enjoyable to watch your videos. Glad you were able to get out moto camping. Look forward to the next one.
My wife and I honeymooned in a tent smaller than that one at an off road park. 40 years later, we haul our Harley in the toy hauler and sleep in a queen size bed!! Great sound track!
When you said, "all packed up and ready to head out" the scrambler sounded like a cat purring as it idled.
My wife and I just scouted it out three or four campsites last weekend while it was raining we can’t wait for some summer Moto camping adventures of our own. Thanks again for the inspiration
Umm was it just me or did anyone else find it relaxing to watch Jess make and have her coffee by the stream .with the music play ..i diffanly felt something as i watch he relax.
Yay! Motorcycle camping. And guess what? We can ride again here (or at least I think so - things change almost from day to day here, extremely inconsistent) - so I did exactly that. Soo much fun! Sunshine and 15°C. Like a dream.
Can´t wait to more camping, out in the fare away nature.
Yours Sincerely
The Danish Viking.
Damn! The Triumph looks so HOT! Those bright pipes are growing on me.
although I don't have a bike yet I am still eager to get camping. This was a great video. Glad to see you motocamping again. Looking forward to seeing you and Jordan camping together.
Your camping videos are my favorite. I have a creek like that runs behind my house. Great for fishing and swimming. Thank you Miss Jess.
What a great video of the simple joys of camping; so sublime!
I love these camping videos it’s part of the reason I started riding and you’ve given me so many ideas I can’t waite to take my first camping moto trip.
I love watching all of your videos! I know this one is older but sometimes in my spare time/to procrastinate on my actual responsibilities I just watch marathons of your videos. You inspire me so much and I hope you never stop posting!
Fun adventure. An easy overnighter is all you need. Dig your scoot!
Hi Jess, I always enjoy these lone camping trips with you. This is the first time I've seen your Triumph Scrambler and I love it! This is a beautiful camp site, and what a view to wake up to! I loved the tent, surprisingly spacious, a bit of a Tardis! That's a novel way to inflate your sleeping bag, it seemed quite effortless. Your 4K imaging is superb, truly life-like! Thanks' for bringing us along.
Love the solace of nature, the music and Scrambler. What a perfect bike for that task.
Great night for moto camping 🏕️🏍️👍 The new adv tent and airbed looks amazing. Beautiful morning by the creek. The bike , tent and fire looks great altogether by the creek 💦
Early spring mornings. There are few greater pleasures in life! 👌🏻🏍
What a beautiful setting to be in. Thank you for sharing your adventure!
That was great thanks for taking us on the camping trip you take care and ride safe
Never heard the weather described as "adorable" but you can pull it off. LOL Beautiful campground there.
You will learn something new every time I've always just been on the road pulled over pitched tent and passed out. Got back at in the morning I've never planned on just going camping on my bike but I do believe I might have to just go ahead and try it out lol keep the rubber down and the bubble up. Be safe out there
That scrambler looks like it's comfy and fun to ride!
middle of browsing around and got the notification! Can't wait to go camping this season
Dang Jess...That's a good looking Scrambler, looking forward to seeing you and it out more this year.
Really love the sounds! It makes ya kinda feel right there. Very cool.
Cold weather camping I carry dry chemical hand warmers. Rip open the package, shake and throw in the foot end of your sleeping bag. Your feet stay toasty warm all night.
Having motorcycle camped for many years. When I started camping on the bike when I returned home I made piles of my gear, stuff I used, stuff I didn't use, but might have needed. and a pile of why in the hell did I bring this. Over several trips the piles of stuff I might have needed and why did I bring this got smaller until they disappeared. I now keep all my gear in a plastic tub, carry it out to the bike, when everything in the tub is pack you know that you have not forgotten anything.
Blowing up the air mattress (also a Big Agnes) I use a cheap Coleman battery air compressor. Does not take up much space, the D batteries last a couple of seasons, even blowing up others air mattress.
Enjoyed your videos.
Very nice camping trip , loved the scenery , thats why i do adventure riding down under in Australia 🇦🇺 , to get away from everyone and just good friends and their bikes , its great comfort , very therapeutic and a release form the stresses of living in a big city , thanks 🙏 for the inspiration again , i have been living like a hermit during Covid , now time to get away again , 🙏 thankyou
So great you got to get out for this over nighter. I bet that place is beautiful in late spring early summer. The sound of the water must have been so relaxing. I did miss your string lights you always have, hope they make the next trip😊. Looking forward to your next camp out.
A beautiful bike and lots of gumption going out there that early in the season. Frost on the tent and snow in the ditches. You go girl.
On the snozzle inflation bag for the sleeping pad, you open the loose end and quickly close it to trap air vs breathing into it. That way you avoid condensation inside the pad.
I mean condensation is pretty much inevitable but agreed that breath will hold extra water vapor compared to atmospheric air but it looks alittle chilly there im sure its pretty wet. But good tip!
Definitely nice when the campground is empty and you can pick the best site!🤘🤓
Thanks Jess, this video was a Super Cool one! What a great campground and watchin' you tryin' out your new gear was great, too! EverLovinDad appreciates You!
Dang. I've been camping a hundred times and now I want to camp. You really capture the joy.
Same here I used to camp all the time but I haven't been in years but now she's got me thinking about packing my bike and heading out
"For Ohio... not too bad." All native born Buckeyes understand. Any camping in Ohio in March is not to be criticized for any reason. Doing some planning today for my own summer moto-camping... Appalachians, Montana and Utah..... 80 degrees forecast for southern Indiana this weekend~~~wooo hooo. All that frost looked a bit to the chilly side of 40...
“More seattime this year”, love the expression and I definately agree! 😉
You are such a trooper that looked like such a cold start to the day - the things you do for the love of your channel huh! Well done Jess you got me motivated to go and book an Easter camping trip
Motocamping in the North in March is always a gamble! Great video!
Your scrambler is a nice camping machine! Looks like you found a beautiful spot to pitch your tent. Be safe out there!
Awesome and Thank you ! I grew up in western Pa. I can relate , Great work on the video , can't wait to see more , you are thorough on your gear and informative , I ride a 2016 Triumph T120 Bonneville and a 2018 Honda CRF 250 Rally ! Cheers from Tucson Arizona !
I've been watching for about a year now, and I've been wanting to get a bike again. Couldn't wait any longer so I'm picking it up tomorrow. Watching your channel finally pushed me over the edge, lol.
Girl, you’re videos are awesome. I wish you much success!
I love that you know how to eat well ;) the meal is sooo important. The food alone makes me excited. love it!
Hey Jess - Hello from the east coast of Canada! Great video! I questioned you on your last video on how you were going to get all that gear packed onto the Scrambler and your response was "stay tuned". We'll good job, as I really had my doubts!! Can't believe how much you were able to pack into that single saddlebag! Can't wait for future videos when the sun doesn't disappear at 6:30pm!! Cheers!
That is funny. I just discovered Ride to Food last week. Great vids there also. Keep frosty, Jess. :-)
Loved it when you said "Hey we're off roading!" then that goofy little laugh you did. I chuckled at that. Also love the tent.
Dedication to your channel is showing...
Super awesome edits ! Great music selection at camp! You could FEEL the campsite atmosphere! Bravo to you !
That was great! I so want to go camping now! Last summer I went to an unknown campground, mid week. I was the only person in the entire campground on night one!! It was fantastic! Set up next to a creek, near a small waterfall, slept like baby!!! I can't wait to see more camping!!
Like your coffee mug. My HOG chapter had a motto. "Live to ride, ride to eat." Was a weight gaining problem, but had a lot of tasty stuff.
Heck yeah what a great time , shout out to Lone Rider and Moro Camp Nerd for these awesome products 👍 This is such a great high quality video ! Really enjoyed this , I could smell the fire and almost taste the steak ! I wanted to pick up one of those flat rocks and skip it down the creek ! Thank you so much for sharing this time with us 👍😂
Another great camping video... Your editing and music is second to none... I really like that single pannier, IMO, it balances the side mufflers perfectly. Thank you Jess for another awsome video!!!
I love Triumphs, got a street triple at the moment, such well made bikes, can’t wait for the weather to get warmer here in the UK, and I can do the same as you Jess 🤗👍🏽🏍
I love it Jess totally can not wait to go camping also glad you had fun 😊
OMG, I’m so jealous! No better way to wake up than the sound of a creek gurgling over the rocks! BTW, I think the plastic utensils are a great idea. The won’t scratch your pan. Hope this year I can get out and camp.....
That was assume!!!.....so peaceful and quite. I'm not much into camping any more but you make it very enticing. I may just have to try motocamping. After all I like riding my motorcycles and it would be much different then going to a campsite in a car. Your nearing that 100k mark. Stay safe out there.
Hi from the UK 👋. Loving your videos. I couldn't have more than 1 motorbike as I would feel guilty in leaving the other one behind. I would feel like I am cheating 🤣🤣🤣🏍🏍🏍
Have fun with your new camping season.
I love your solo camping trips. looks amazing there. Watching from Australia. :)
Beautiful place to camp. Love your coffee pot! Thanks for sharing.
I cant wait to get my klr650 out and do some camping when weather gets nicer. Its about.. 20 degress and nice and mid.. to high 30's during the day. Safe travels.
I stumbled on this video and what a great treat it was. Made me want to go for a ride and camp this weekend.
Very cool video, just happened across it. I've been riding for 20 years and have never gone motorcycle camping (I have a Converted stealth camping van and a pull behind camper) Yet now that's exactly what I want to do! Thank you for putting this together! Keep being an inspiration!
Only clicked for some tips but ended up staying for whole vid. Lovely feel good vibe , thank you lady .
I'm jealous... 2 more months before I can think of camping here. Loved being able to see you get out and camp in your new tent.
A very relaxing and peaceful video...not at all what I was expecting...Well Done!

What an awesome spot for camping. Can't wait to get out again when lock down lifts in England.
I hope the trial run on the new equipment went well. It's nice to take a couple of short runs to get dialed in and into the groove for the season. 👍😎
One of your best videos ever... so inspiring! 😀
As soon the temperatures in Switzerland pick up a bit, I will also go camping.... 🥳
Haven't been able to ride my bike just yet, the ice on the roads is slowly melting away but few weeks from now, it should be all melted and dried. I've been planning my motocamping trips as well. Can't wait to start the season. Thanks for these awesome camping vids.
Great edit! So want to go camping now. Love that coffee press. Keep it up!
Loved your motocamping video... I also love your Scrambler! Thanks for sharing! Ride safe always
Holy macarony... this was sooo great watching... Living in the north of Norway, enjoying bike camping are short season sport... I'm sooo ready for getting out there..
Will be moving from the north to the south of Norway in 4 weeks... LONGER BIKE SEASON \m/....
Keep those great videos coming :)
So awesome Jess! Thanks for sharing!
Not sure how I feel about the one saddlebag, but that is one sweet looking bike.
Great video!!! This ones going to get you to 100k. Man your crazy i wouldn't dare camp in 40d weather! My respects 🙌
Washington state has a number of national forests, in which you can camp off grid for like 20$ a year.
There are no bathroom or any facilities, but it's extremely affordable, and you can find some incredible spots with no one else around.
It takes practice to learn what locations are good and where exactly it's legal, but it's incredible. It's called dispersed camping and I highly recommend it :P
Thanks for all that helpful information!
Living vicariously through these camping videos #goals
I like that tent and I am going to get one of those Stanley French presses you have. Making acceptable coffee on camping trips has always been a pet peeve of mine. Stay safe.
Definitely not getting enough videos definitely enjoy your content
Loving the Insta360 effects. Really adds to your videos.
Camping has never held much of an appeal to me, but you make it seem fun.
It was in the 80's today in Florida. Appreciate your channel
That Triumph, is so old school cool. Reminds me of the Honda Scramblers back in my youth :)
Envy, I love riding and camping.
I love your video and energy, so cool ! Would love to see more trips like this
so makes me want to go camping on my Harley Sportster and with temps of 30 degrees centigrade its long overdue LoL (hi from South Africa)
_Ride to Live, Live to Ride._ 👍👍
Beautiful campsite and cozy tent. You got a lot of camping gear on that bike.
Ride to Food is an awesome channel and Staci is super nice and has great content. That's awesome you've almost "made it big" less then 1k to go! Can't wait to see you hit that mark!
Really cool video I hope your video inspires more women to ride and camp keep up the good work you do it right!!!👍💯🇺🇸😎
Wow! I'm impressed by your efficiency! You make camping with only your motorcycle look easy. I don't know if I would have as much luck 😕. Great video!
That tent is exactly what I'm looking for, but not for that price! Have to wait for a sale someday.
I just found your channel and I've watched a few of your older vids, I'm not a simp but you rock, this campsite was so beautiful and it looks like you had a blast, thanks for sharing and putting in all the work on the vids. Be safe out there blessings to you and your hubby.
Bet it was nice to get out camping by yourself, and oh ya still rocking that hair!
