- In this video I mostly gather more resources to spawn the Makar-ASV. Also I end up adding a temp warp drive to a SV miner as well as a couple basic CPU cores and other parts. I realized I shouldn't have warped away from the starter planet so soon as I had no way of quickly getting graphite on the new planet or nearby moons or asteroids. So a solution was float a warp drive on the on a SV miner. It wasn't pretty but it worked. :)

Hey everyone. I had issues with audio on the real part 5 done Monday. I realized I had the desktop audio so low on the recording you could not hear the game or the person I was playing with. So I choose to not release the video. However, not much on my side really got done besides bringing in the new Scarab-SM1 early in the video. The bulk of that video was running a good death loop in the abandoned bunker POI. We did beat it, but I will admit it became frustrating. lol. Also to note, towards the end of this video I learned I can use a push to talk discord feature. This is important as I was trying not to talk much during the video when I actually wanted to narrate like I did on the solo videos. Well, now I can and will be doing that on all future playthru videos. Also, I do have a new mic now and it seems to work well.
In this video at a certain point I get rather annoyed at the logistic system again. It was generally my fault. I had failed to remove contents of a harvest controller before removing it and had... issues. Then I realized I didn't need to remove it in the first place and it was a different issue. lol. I did get it sorted out after some complaining. Towards the end of this video I am close to bringing in the Makar and believe I have the audio worked out now. So hopefully future videos improve. At the end of the day, I feel bad about saying how I hate the logistics system of the game in the video. I was mainly just frustrated over a number of issues I was having at the time.

Overall video volume is lower than average youtube levels. Would be great if you can improve that as well.
A wonderful video !!! But I would like to wish you, when recording, not to spare your built-in flashlight in the suit. The video turns out to be quite dark, although you may have a different monitor brightness set. Usually when capturing a video, it's not so bright. The flashlight is a good tool when playing the game. The SM7B-MVX2I can be used from microphones the SM7B + MVX2I is bundled with an XLR-to-USB adapter.
Hey JRandall, when you are using the info screen on your map in space make sure that you select the planet side to see its resources and gravity. You were looking at the orbit view and that is why you couldn't see graphite. Btw keep up the great work. I almost prefer watching you and Xcal play than playing myself. I honestly struggle making time to watch his stream, your playthrough, and play on the server myself. You are clearly learning very quickly by doing your own thing more. I think this is fantastic and enjoy watching you grow.

Im pretty sure you can shift + click to instantly move items around in the inventory and put items in the workshop. You can also use your drone to collect the fallen items very quickly after they fall from gravity. Really enjoy your play through!
Thanks for more entertainment ... I think a warp drive is more important than a shield in a starter SV, would be interesting if you can see if you mod the new miner to fit it in,
There is a trick with starter bases and attacks, as long as you are not worried about O2 and Radiation or grow bays in a starter. Don't put a floor in or don't stand on the floor. you stepping onto the base is what triggers an attack.
22:20 - it's faster go to space again and travel to the point you need in space. And then go back to atmosphere.
1:15:00 - you walking with backapck full of pentaxid and struggeling with no free space. The best way is to put 16k box outside of POI for temporary storage and loot everything in it.
3:25:30 - don't dump neo into the factory. You will need it to build thrusters for Makar
In regard to logistics.. (using F4) when extracting from a 'base' with a salvage core, you want your wifi linked box displayed in the left hand panel, then select the 'base' on the right. You can then use the archaic interface to go through all the cargo boxes, and grab the O2 and fuel (note it doesn't display chiller cabinets, cold boxes, lockers, nor loot containers). If there is a 'drop container, then you need to use shift+F to move the contents to the 'wifi network'. If you open it with F then it always goes to the Player Inventory (yes another annoying feature of the logistics IF) .
Thanks. The shield is 1x2x3 in size or 6 total block spaces. The warp is 3x2x5 or 15 total block spaces. Far to big to fit in the same spot as the shield. I can see why some recommend a SV miner that can do warp as well. And thanks again!
For carbon for Makar I go straight to mining bunch of stone and processing that into carbon. Way easier to get a lot of it that way than hunting for the tiny graphite deposits that do not yield that much
To protect base from shooting drones you need to make corner in a tunnel and put base around a corner. So there will be no clearance for drone to shoot you.
The dropping down thing is purely a multiplayer/co-op bug. Lord knows why.
In solo play it will not do that.
Make sure you have a passenger seat at the base if you want to work on all your vessels when keeping it afloat.
For reasons only the mighty folks at Eleon Game Studios might know, or maybe even they don't, getting in the passenger seat fixes that.
Might be tricky to time it, so make sure you have it as high as possible to give yourself some time to get in the passenger seat.
And I'm sorry to say, haha. 100 hours will sadly not teach you all the ropes of the survival game. I've got 10 times that amount and I still often learn new tricks by watching the more veteran players.

Jay, most of your frustration could be eased if you just slowed down and stopped rushing. You keep missing stuff because you aren't looking as fast as you're moving. Youre missing an extension on the top by the starboard side drill.
I think I just got frustrated and sensible ways of doing things went out the window. Yeah, I noticed the other missing blocks a bit later and realized I was just being stupid. lol. I will be doing more play thru today and try to not get stupid and frustrated. And thanks again!
Yea so the makar was mine on your planet the Nimitz. Great ship by the way but it got eaten from the rear by a xerax cruiser I didn’t see while I was mining an asteroid I crashed It on A planet and sadly had to salvage it and build a escape ship out of what was left I will make another though
Also lost the new miner that xcal made as well in that escape attempt
Oh that sucks. Sorry to hear that. The back module bay area was built of carbon to save weight. Not the back wall thou. But yeah, not really set up to take a cruiser attack. I am just curious if you had a shield in it at that time. And thanks again!
