My 14 year old Lily, who passed away last November, had gotten used to all my lotions and fragrances. My two semi-feral tabby brothers, who just turned 2, are very aware and disparaging of fragranced lotions, even hand wash. They don't like them at all and let me know by running away after sniffing my hands!

I have the same issue with one of my boys. He hates any fragrance that doesn’t smell like food (not including fruit). But, since he loves to eat fresh spinach it’s ok for me to smell like that!

Cats can be allergic to many fragrances, including:
Essential oils: Many essential oils are poisonous to cats, including cinnamon, citrus, pennyroyal, peppermint, pine, sweet birch, tea tree, wintergreen, and ylang ylang. Ingestion and skin exposure can both be toxic.
Litter: Some litters contain fragrances and silica dust, which can cause allergic reactions in cats.
Candles: Candles made from paraffin can release impurities and irritants that can bother a cat's respiratory system.
Strong-smelling materials: Camphor, camellia, and sandalwood can cause allergic reactions in cats.
Coffee: Cats can't tolerate the smell of caffeine, which is harmful to them.
Vinegar: Vinegar is acidic and can irritate cats.
Spices: Spices like pepper, cinnamon, and curry can repel cats.
Cats have a sense of smell that's 14 times better than humans, so it's important to be aware of unfamiliar scents in their environment.
Take for instance lavendar: Some symptoms of health complications due to exposure to lavender in cats include:
Stomach problems like vomiting and diarrhea
      Refusing to eat or drink
      Lethargy, unwillingness to play
      Drooling
      Tremors
      Staggering
      Wheezing and asthma
      Slower breathing rate
      Difficulty breathing
Liver failure, which can cause rapid weight loss and yellowing of the skin, eyes and gums
If you notice any of these symptoms of lavender toxicity, seek emergency medical attention for your pet.

I have a cat with asthma and so there’s a lot of things our household no longer does: no scented laundry products, extra vacuuming until the carpet can be removed, air purifiers, meticulously changing the hvac filters, we don’t open windows (pollen and etc), no more scent diffusers/oil diffusers/candles, etc.

I always have to get the hand soap and hand cream and cleaning soaps that Bobo is used to cause if it is a new smell and he doesn’t like it…it will not be used in our home🤷🏻‍♀️
I don’t mind at all,Im just thinking that it is our home,it is his apartment too and of course he should get to deside what it should smell like since it is important to him.I love Bobo,if I can do just little things every day that will make him happy of course I will do it.He deserves to feel like his opinion and feelings are important too❤️🐈‍⬛❤️

Not sure what type of air conditioner you have, but side note: air conditioning units often begin to smell because when the condenser freezes up, outside air gets drawn across the iced-up condenser, cooling the air, and is blown into the room as cold air.
The condensation that forms during this process drips out a waste hose (some units collect it in a waste water jug).
When you're done running your air conditioner to cool the area, you should flick it to fan or dry mode, to dry up any residual condensation that hasn't drained fully and is still inside the unit.
If this condensation is left in the unit, it stagnates, and next time you turn the air conditioner on, you get "that smell".
(not me wondering if Russell referred to the condensation as "later ice" because it's literally melted ice that's making the air conditioner smell 😐)

I have a cat that has your multi's colouring. She uses other means to communicate, but Calicos are so smart.
She taught my older cat, who is her mother how to communicate better. She is a tuxedo cat who didn't know how to fully bond until the last couple of years. She was rejected by her mother and I got her before she was a month old.
My mom has her litter sister and she went the opposite and bonded to my mother so much that she only has room in her heart for my mother. She tolerates me, but she is very clingy still at 8 years old. She hates my sister. She still hisses at me sometimes, but after she got sick a few months ago, she became a lot nicer to me. She doesn't know what to think since I started blinking at her when she is cranky. She will give me a nose kiss sometimes and then remember she is annoyed that I am takimg mom's attention from her.
Right now my two are being weirdos. Mama cat is wigglimg her tail around because baby,.who is 5 years old and thinks she is a kitten, wants to play and cuddle with mama cat, but she wants to sleep. The wagging tail is too much for my younger cat to handle and she wants to grab it. Itnis like having toddlers right now.

What was the word later for?

    • @stepmi
      @stepmi 3 месяца назад +1

They use "later" when they want to tell "stop it"/"I don't want it"/"I hate it"
Probably because people use it in questions like "Do you want it [now], or later?".
And they use "bye" as the verb "to leave" (and all its forms).

Schedule to get your evaporator (the box with copper pipes going to it on top of the furnace) cleaned a filter change wont do much. I cleaned mine and that weird musky wet smell went away. Also get the highest MERV filter you can get.
