    so shipping cost is United States
    All
    USD 3.99
    Rest of World

    USD 7.99
    Expansive for just 1 sticker , how you suppose to make a profit after shipping cost + etsy fee?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад

      If your primary market is outside the US, I wouldn't recommend using a US-based print provider due to the shipping cost and time for delivery. Printify has a couple providers located in other countries for stickers that charge less for delivery to countries in Europe so those are likely a better option. But generally, the shipping charge on stickers is usually more than the sticker itself, at least for the first item.

    Just curious- it looks like if you use Printify to fulfill your orders, you'd have to price them way higher than all the other stickers on Etsy in order to make a profit. Is it then worth it? Do you really see sales on an $8-$10 sticker? I wanted to start selling stickers on my shop but seems like I would have to price way higher than that competition that is probably making them at home. Thanks for your help!

    • @vinnyfaylor5604

      I am also wondering this, since most stickers are sold on Etsy for $3-5. If shipping is already $3.99, are there any tips on how to have a low price sticker? or will it be minimum 7$ to get any profit?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +1

      Recently (within the last year) I've had to get more creative with my sticker listings to look competitive for this reason. There seems to have been an increase in sellers offering stickers for $2-3 and I'm not sure what their source is. I've checked out pricing for getting a bulk order from sources like sticker mule but once you factor in the shipping you'll have to pay to send orders out yourself, it's nearly the same cost per sticker as using Printify. I have noticed that I never really sold many of the smallest size (2x2) stickers, so now when I create new sticker listings I price that size to make a very small profit and then price the other sizes a bit more normally with about 30% profit margin. 4x4 tends to be the most popular size for me and I do still see sales but they've declined in the last 7-8 months. I've also started being more selective about the niches that I create stickers for - if page 1 of the search results is nearly 100% $2-3 stickers I don't bother. I still find some opportunities though to create new listings in niches where there are some others in the $5-8 range. I also sometimes make custom bundle listings where I put 3-4 design options in the same listing and include a variant for a bundle pack...which I then have to manually fulfill, but the volume discount on stickers is huge. The additional shipping charge in the US is only $0.09 for each additional sticker (same SPOKE kiss-cut), so if you can get someone into your listing to see a much better per-sticker price when they buy multiple that helps too.

      Agreed, with shipping being 2-3x more than the cost of the sticker itself, you’d have to price the sticker at $8-10. Anyone know if there is a cheaper shipping option out there?

    I am new to sticker selling. But I noticed on Printify that at least one of the companies sells sticker sheet packs so why wouldn't you just do that and make a separate listing on Etsy? At least that way you can control the pricing and add the stickers that you want to sell as a Pack. One of the packs comes with 5 sheets bundle of stickers priced $ 22.39 / or 10 sheet bundle pk. for $37.31 that's not the discounted price. So I assume that you can control the pricing and select that has on sale. Maybe I'm wrong though?

    can you comment on the shipping cost....for a single sticker vs multiples of the same sticker.... it seems like printify will charge shipping for a single sticker and 4x shipping for a pack of 4 stickers......doesnt seem fair since 4 stickers weighs almost the same as 1 sticker

  • @mochimachinations

    When so many other sellers have stickers listed for like 2-4$, is it really reasonable to expect someone would pay 8$ for a sticker? Because unless you price them that high, you wont make any profit. And even pricing a 2x2 sticker at 8$, the profit is still only about 1$.

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +1

      Hi! With Printify your shipping profiles should be set to a flat cost rather than calculated. You only need to enter size & weight for calculated shipping prices, but Printify charges a flat shipping price for each country so your shipping profile should be set to a flat/fixed cost, and then you won't have to enter any size/weight information for each listing. I hope that helps!

    Hi. Thank you for the nice tutorial. I'm new to sticker sheets so was wondering about the Printify sticker sheet object: if one/fourth contains multiple objects, will they be cut separately, so you can add let's say 8 stickers to a sheet?

    • @mrringtalesworkshop
      @mrringtalesworkshop 9 месяцев назад

      That's correct! In each of the 4 sections you can place multiple stickers. I have one pack that is like, 15 stickers PER section. You just have to pay attention to the mockup in the editor. If your stickers are packed in too close in the file you upload it could lead to them being cut as one sticker, but the preview with show you if that's the case and you can go fix it

      Hi! eRank does offer a free account. They have limitations on how many times per day you can use their resources with the free account, but it's a great way to do some research without paying fees. That's the only keyword tool I'm aware of that has a free account although some others may do free trial periods too.

    So the one with the backing cut to the same shape of the sticker you ordered that you call "outdoor" was a die-cut sticker, correct?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  2 года назад +1

      Correct! That one was the "transparent outdoor sticker" from Printed Simply in the Printify catalog. They are die-cut and the sample felt quite a bit thicker than the other die-cut stickers that weren't labeled for outdoor use.

  • @Snackward
    @Snackward Год назад

    Kiss cut and die cut are not the same thing. You keep using them both to describe kiss cut and it's confusing.

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад

      Hi, both kiss cut and die cut result in a sticker that is the shape of the design - I understand there is a difference between the backing being cut or not, but in terms of the sticker itself, in either case the sticker is going to be the shape of your design once removed from the backing. I use those terms interchangeable because they both give you a sticker that is a "custom" shape vs. stickers that are square or round and not cut to the shape of your design, which are also available on Printify.

    Do you find Printify’s quality better than Printful?

  • @SFN-YT
    @SFN-YT 2 года назад

    Just wondering about the transparent example you showed - was the artwork a solid fill or did it have opacity? I don't have any experience with these stickers, but thought the design would remain solid/vibrant and just the 'cut' area around it would be transparent. If your artwork was solid, do you know if a white or black fill behind the design would give a more intense result? Anyway, thanks for all your videos - I only recently found you, but really appreciate your content :)

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  2 года назад +2

      Great question, and I'm not 100% certain that printed simply's transparent stickers are the same as other providers in how they come out. There's no option to add a background color in the editor view for the sticker sheets so I'm not sure if there's a way to force it to come out more solid in the print area other than just doing the white option instead of transparent. I'm curious so I ordered a couple more samples of the same coffee cup design on a transparent base from Spoke to compare. I will confirm how they compare as soon as they get here!

    Im offering only the 2 by 2, 3 by 3, and 4 by 4 stickers. The print area size for the 4 by 4 is 1113 × 1113 px. I used this png file size (1113 × 1113 px) for all my sizes. Looks like Printify automatically adjusted the scale size for me for the smaller sticker sizes. But, Im concerned if i should upload the correct file size for each sticker size. Or is it fine ?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад

      Hi! It is fine to use the same file for all sizes, as long as your file is big enough for the largest size. Since 4x4 is the largest size you're offering, it is fine to use a file made for that size on the smaller sizes to save time. The DPI will actually increase as the image is scaled down on the smaller sizes. Printify usually does a good job of matching your alignment/sizing on each size, but be sure to check them individually to make sure the placement/alignment is correct. You can make manual adjustments for individual sizes if needed - Printify has an option in the design editor to make edits specifically for each size up in the top right area where the size variations are. I hope that helps!

    Really great content! I'm going through all your videos right now. Question, I heard you mention that you use your business credit card to fulfill orders, in one of your videos. When do you think is a good time to start an LLC? Once your store is bringing in enough sales to prove itself, or open your store with an LLC and apply for EIN right off the bat?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  2 года назад +6

      Thanks! I actually still do not have an LLC myself even though I think I'm way past the point where I probably should have one. I do have a trade name registered in my state for my business though. I have a few business credit cards that I got as a sole proprietor and I love them - it's so nice to have things totally separate from my personal finances and be able to carry a balance until the revenue comes in to pay it off without affecting my personal credit utilization rate. I do think that if you're just starting out, it's worth waiting until you are certain that you're going to be continuing your business for an extended time before getting an LLC. It's not extremely complicated to set up, but it's also got some startup costs associated and your taxes become a little more complex so in my opinion you should be sure that it's worth the effort and something you are sticking with for the long term before diving in. If you want to sell on Amazon through seller central, that's where I think an LLC is probably more important to do sooner because it gives you a little more privacy when having to list all your business information on a public page for customers to see. I hope that helps!
