Hello, while processing the g-code file I created with UGS in CNC, the CNC axes go to the place they need to go very fast when the carving work of a point is finished and trying to go to a different point (idle acceleration), which causes tooth skipping and the coordinate is distorted. I wonder if I need to adjust the grbl settings or the g-code file to reduce the speed of the axes in these transitions (idle speed).
I have the same problem. With settings $100,101,102 at 100.000 my Mill moves 25MM when asked to move 100MM. My thought would be to change to $100= 400.00, but that does not work.I also get noise and little movement. My machine is a cheep Chinese 3018 PRO. Is there another setting that needs to be changed?
Is acceleration that slow really necessary? I have not yet set but I'm wondering if setting mine to 200 would be bad. It's a 4mm pitch per rotation lead screw, and if I stall the motor, even at full speed the weight of the gantry can't move that lead screw.
Brilliant Mr. Willy! I just connected my first stepper to my machine as a test and its agonizingly slow! How do i fix it? Why just watch Willy's CNC part 12 of course! Thanks again for making it so easy!
Thanks Mr Willy, that's very helpful as always,I have question about the values of $110-$112,how would you know the values to set ? is it based on trying or based on calculation?
Mohamed Amine BIDA Thanks again. You can increase gradualy 110-112 after you have found the step/mm (100-102). Increase it until the stepper «stalls» or you dont want it to go any faster. Then you can decrease it 10-20% to perserve your steppers. The same goes for the acceleration setting :-) Good luck and appreciate the feedback ;)
Hi i'm working on DIY cnc router project but i have a problem with lead screw or ball screw it's expensive man i spent about 650$ for stepper Nema 34 and other stuff The question is Do you think if i use a belt my machine will be fast or what ??
Eng.Mudar A I dont think the machine would be any faster with belts. Belts are prone to wear and tear, they will slack and start missing steps and stuff. With the nema32 And 23 I would recommend going for some ball screws even if they are expencive. You can also do lead screws like me. Belts would not cut it, sorry
I installed limit switches... And when it is pressed motor stopped working but after that I need to restart everything....and it's not accepting any further commands.. is there any option to move the axis away from the limit switch automatically after it is pressed...
That means 400 steps per mm. Does your stepper have 400 steps per revolution? anyway you have to make these settings smaler when doing that.: $110=2000.000 $111=2000.000 $112=2000.000
I have the same problem. With settings $100,101,102 at 100.000 my Mill moves 25MM when asked to move 100MM. My thought would be to change to $100= 400.00, but that does not work.I also get noise and little movement.

Hello sir I am using nema23 with tb6600 drive with 24 volt 10 amp, but with 32 micro stepping my motor rpm is very low around 30 or i change it into 1micro stepping then its rpm is around 150 with vibration I am trying to increase rpm of my stepper motor with smooth running Please help me....
Tushar Gajbhiye Hi sir, it sounds like you have to change the $100 $101 and $102 setting on the Arduino. This setting changes when you change the microstepping on a stepper motor. If you have a 0,9 degree motor and use full microstepping (fullstep) your stepper must have 400 steps per revolution. Then if your leadscrew travels 2 mm per revolution this value should be sett to 200. That means that the stepper motor travels half a revolution for the cnc axis to travel 1 mm.
Hello sir, My motor have 1.8 degre & if i change $100,$101 and $102 setting more than 300 value then my motor stop rotating and make loud noise and after noise decree then motor little rotate and stop
Tushar Gajbhiye With a pitch of 4mm, that means the ball screw moves the axis 4mm/revolution. In the GRBL you want to input the step/mm. You have a 1.8 degree stepper wich needs 200 step/revolution. That means in fullstep mode: (200step/4mm)=50step/mm In half step mode: (200step/4mm*2)=100step/mm So, first of try to put $100-102 setting in fullstep mode to 50step/mm and test the machine
Thanks Mr Willy, that's very helpful as always,I have question about the values of $110-$112,how would you know the values to set ? is it based on trying or based on calculation?
Hi and thanks :) You can calculate this value somewhat, but i depends on what drivers, steppers and PSU you have and use. So it's recommended that you increase this value until your stepper motor stalls and then decrease the value about 10-20%. This is so your system doesn't run on 100 % all the time :-) Did this answer what your question was about?

Just COMMAND F100
ANYTIME LIKE F0-1000
I installed limit switches... And when it is pressed motor stopped working but after that I need to restart everything....and it's not accepting any further commands.. is there any option to move the axis away from the limit switch automatically after it is pressed...
Great video. Thanks man :)
Thanks 👍 :)
Thanks , but when i try to change ($101=400) the stepper make a high noise and not moving, why ?
My stepoer nema 23 ... 2A
Thanks
That means 400 steps per mm. Does your stepper have 400 steps per revolution? anyway you have to make these settings smaler when doing that.:
$110=2000.000
$111=2000.000
$112=2000.000
I have the same problem. With settings $100,101,102 at 100.000 my Mill moves 25MM when asked to move 100MM. My thought would be to change to $100= 400.00, but that does not work.I also get noise and little movement.
Sir,Please snd the download link of universal gcode sender
Anuj Singh Hi, check this out:
winder.github.io/ugs_website/
Grbl control (Candle)
I have no experience with Candle. S, Im not the person to help you with that. I use the Universal G code Sender
is this setting written by me ? or it's written by the same program?
majick talent What program do you use? This settings are written in the GRBL code for the Arduino
WillysGarageNorway
I use grbl controller or universal Gcode sender ...I don't know how can I setting this programs 😣......can you help me ? Please 🌿🌹🌿
majick talent In this video I explain how you figure out and adjust the GRBL settings using the universal gcode sender. Hope it helps you
WillysGarageNorway
I hope that too ....
thank you for evry thing...
Hello sir
I used universal sender but i browse small gcode than is work properly but i download some g code like image but after browse universal send show empty file and show just complet 00.00.00 sec plz give solution plz sir
Hi, IT sounds like the gcode file is wrong or corrupted somehow. Have you tried another gcode?
WillysGarageNorway g code file is correct
WillysGarageNorway give your gmail id i send video of my problem
ok, you can send me mail at wgn@willysgaragenorway.no
Excellent. Thanks for this.
No problem :) thanks for watching 👍
Very nice very helpful video🖒
Thanks for your feedback :)
SIR PLZ HELP ME TO CALIBTRATE MY MACHIE
What kind of machine do you have?
simple just follow the instructions
Hello sir
I am using nema23 with tb6600 drive with 24 volt 10 amp, but with 32 micro stepping my motor rpm is very low around 30 or i change it into 1micro stepping then its rpm is around 150 with vibration
I am trying to increase rpm of my stepper motor with smooth running
Please help me....
Hello sir,
My motor have 1.8 degre & if i change $100,$101 and $102 setting more than 300 value then my motor stop rotating and make loud noise and after noise decree then motor little rotate and stop
Tushar Gajbhiye do you use a leadscrew or belts?
Sir,
I am using Ball screw Dia 12 x 4 Pitch
Tushar Gajbhiye With a pitch of 4mm, that means the ball screw moves the axis 4mm/revolution. In the GRBL you want to input the step/mm. You have a 1.8 degree stepper wich needs 200 step/revolution. That means in fullstep mode: (200step/4mm)=50step/mm
In half step mode: (200step/4mm*2)=100step/mm
So, first of try to put $100-102 setting in fullstep mode to 50step/mm and test the machine
Nice video, thx
Thanks, no problemo:)
hello this configuration is valid pear NEMA 23
Its valid for more steppers and lead screw/belts if you follow the instructions 😁👍
Thanks A lot..
No problem :)
Helpful..
Thanks
No problemo:)
Thank you Best regards
No problem 😀 thanks for watching 👍

Direction error
Maathav Rajan Hi, what do you mean? :)
Now it's ok thanks 👍👍
meget bra takk
Thanks Mr Willy, that's very helpful as always,I have question about the values of $110-$112,how would you know the values to set ? is it based on trying or based on calculation?
Hi and thanks :) You can calculate this value somewhat, but i depends on what drivers, steppers and PSU you have and use.
So it's recommended that you increase this value until your stepper motor stalls and then decrease the value about 10-20%.
This is so your system doesn't run on 100 % all the time :-) Did this answer what your question was about?
