Even if Onvo takes only half of this market share from Tesla in China, that means Onvo will deliver 22,000 vehicles per month in 2025. Nio, whose deliveries grew by over 100% YOY for Q2 2024, is expected to deliver 50% more in 2025, around 27,000/month. Together, Onvo +Nio, gives a total of approximately 49,000/month in 2025. That is approximately 600,000 annually in 2025, a 200% increase from its projected deliveries this year. This is one-third of the number of vehicles Tesla delivered in 2023. Of course, Tesla is losing market share in China and Onvo will greatly accelerate that loss for Tesla. Which is why the US government essentially banned Chinese EVs from the US with its 100% tariff.

Dr. Shen Fei updated NIO Power's data at the WAIC meeting today: - 2,442 battery swap stations with more than 22,000 charging piles; - 294 of these battery swap stations have already opened high-speed pilot battery swaps. He also announced that in the second half of this year, users will be able to leave their vehicles and the vehicles will queue up to complete the battery swap autonomously; this is mainly for battery swapping scenarios in high-speed service areas. The tests have been completed and it is hoped that some stations will be online in the second half of the year.

NIO makes amazing cars, but their cars are manufactured by JAC, whereas Tesla manufactures its own cars. Having your cars manufactured buy an external company is a big drain on resources and profits. But i wish NIO all the success.
Nio has since purchased both JAC plants. And Nio is building two more, one for Onvo and one for Firefly production. Total licensed production capacity for all four plants will be approximately 1.5 million cars per year.
