@@stevecassidyguitar 2009 Gibson Firebird V. I think the FB single coil pickup do something weird and given the dimensions and placement make it really hard to balance. There was one day I got it perfect, but then noticed the middle position had an annoying nasal quality, so I went back to the drawing board. I think I finally nailed it--even though the bridge is a bit quiet as compared to the neck. Who knows, it's something really funny to be thinking about but if that's my biggest problem in life, I'm doing pretty well.

I think Firebirds conjure up that "Classic 70s Raaawk" tone better than anything else...except maybe an SG. I will definitely be getting another. 😁
Hi Steve you should try a bit of spot leveling its not too terrifying once you've done it a few times but ive been molesting guitars since the seventies lol, in fact ive just bought a Squire "debut" Srat from Amazon (£129.99 !) matt finish and was slightly disappointed because i didn't have to tear it down to fettle it i may get a tele too . If i may offer some advice try blinging up youy wardrobe a bit maybe grey trousers and a nice bright beige cardigan that way you'd be more memorable oh and maybe a trilby hat or bowler ( flat caps are too working class old boy !)...great video matey 🤘🥸👍

He changed the pickups, done a fret level changed the tuners and nut. I've come to the conclusion that if it's someone's job give it to them cause I would royally f##k it up. That's why I don't do decorating 😂
Well Steve I was so impressed with my jet js350 in lake placid blue. I bought the jet jt tele 300 in lake placid blue to. Was supposed to buy new pups for the js but thought, nah..... I will buy another guitar instead 😂😂 still can't get over the build quality of these guitars for the money, especially the necks. Planning the js 500 in silver sparkle next 🙂🙃🙂🙃

PMT Online do a Firebird type I think they are called Antiquity they look decent for the money especially when the Epiphone standard one is £650 and the new ones are £1500 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤘🤘🤘

It's definitely got a shrill sound, but my old/damaged ears kinda like that sound these days 🙈 It was also just recorded with a shotgun mic too far away from the amp (not even facing the speaker), not that that's an acceptable excuse 😜

My Firebird is one of my favorite guitars... but the pickup balance is something that I'm constantly working on and tweaking.
