Bro thanks for bringing this up!!.. I tried withdrawing from PayPal to my UBA Africard two days ago and It didn't go through!... It says something like "Things Don't appear to be working at the moment"... No matter the amount I tried to withdraw... Now the thing is... I have both my naira and dollar UBA card linked... but it doesn't work!... Two weeks ago I made my transaction just fine..but as of this week it didn't work! And I'm referring to the Dollar card especially.... It's not working... I'm just seeing this news of Banks blocking card withdrawals abroad... I guess That means that they literally blocked the dollar cards... because Even though the cards are already linked... It withdrawal doesn't work!... Please make a withdrawal so we can confirm for sure.. but for me it doesn't work... I've been searching online for someone to talk about this

Yes sure, although they might want to sweet talk you into opening a regular account first, but it's not a necessity as the AfriCard Prepaid account is an independent account

It's stupid , you won't have access to the physical money , they'll tell you to go use it online
@@Imole_Fx I live in Port Harcourt and I have never been turned back from the bank when I go to withdraw from my UBA AfriCard (dollar). The only thing is instead of filling a teller as with other account types, I write a short note to the branch manager requesting my money be unloaded from the card and moved to my regular UBA Dom account or directly given to me in cash, it takes a bit of time coz I have to wait 30mins to an hour for the process to be completed. I won't lie, I've heard people say they won't let them withdraw from their card over the counter, but I'm yet to experience it myself, I won't share something I don't have first hand experience of on the channel, if I do I'll make it clear that it's borrowed experience.
PS:The bank branch precisely I regularly do this transaction at is UBA Olu Obasanjo Branch, but I've also done this once at a bank in Ikeja Lagos.
Please this letter to the manager to unload funds to another dorm account, is there no other alternative to do your transfer online to another account by oneself, than the stress of always writing a note? If I want to transfer ordinary $40 now, I will still be writing note. That is a hassle.
@@tobibonike that's the issue o! There's no way around it, some people even say some UBA branches don't let them withdraw from the card at all, although I've not ever had that experience personally. The prepaid card is actually designed for Nigerians travelling abroad to have access to foreign currency with ease when they travel, not to be operated as a regular account so that's the reason for the hassle.

Please how long does it take to withdraw from Paypal to Uba prepaid dollar card. Mine has been pending....I recieved a mail that it would be up to 24hrs...I am yet to receive it???
It's usually almost instant, if it's been up to 24hours it might not go through, happened to me once and it was reversed to my PayPal balance about a week after

I've not personally used it for buying stuff online that much, only for withdrawal from PayPal and then converting to Nigerian Naira, but if you want to buy stuff online I think virtual cards like ones you get from platforms like Vella and GeegPay (Watch the video on creating a GeegPay account and virtual card here: ruclips.net/video/6g-wPEzjf1k/видео.html) will be better and gives you a much higher spending limit

No you can't add a Nigerian Domiciliary account directly to PayPal, even if you had a card, the card might be linked but won't work for withdrawal

1. A UBA prepaid Dollar card
2. www.wise.com - this will give you a usd account that you can link to PayPal
3. Transferring to another PayPal users and they pay you in Naira

You can either deposit directly or have someone with a prepaid card do a card to card transfer into your card

@@xosnrdev Yea that's the way to do it, you have to buy from the black market, the bank will never sell to you, but like 5 to 10 usd from the black market, you deposit and the account is activated

No Joseph, you can only do card to card transfer between two UBA Prepaid Africards
Can I transfer from my UBA prepaid dollar card to my first bank dollar card? Because I don't have another UBA dorm account.
@@tobibonike you can't transfer from the dollar card to any other account, even a UBA Dom account, you can only transfer between 2 prepaid cards

@TheBrimFactor I currently use the UBA prepaid naira card and everything seems to work fine, i.e. I can withdraw with it, but the exchange rate when using the card is seriously low. So I was thinking of creating a Dom account and requesting for a dollar card to link to Paypal. If I can successfully link this dollar card, would a transfer from PayPal to the dollar card be possible? Thanks. Awesome video by the way.
Hi Junior, in my experience, a Dom account card won't work
Oh my god. I could have sworn I tried linking Payoneer Community Federal saving account, and it didn't work. But I just tried it again, and it was just linked successfully.

Good evening bro, I register my PayPal via United Arab Emirates (AE) and I went to the bank today to get an Africard and I was asked which I wanted dollar or Naira. I said Naira Africard.
The thing is I tried to link it to my PayPal but it was declined.
It's saying the card is Preactive.

@@oledibeonyinyechi4536 These things can be stressful sometimes, I think the issue is that Naira cards are not being supported like before as you heard me explain in the video, I didn't realise what you got was a Naira card, I know I still have my dollar card linked to my PayPal and still use it with no issues, but people who use the Naira prepaid card have one issue or the other, sadly you might have to get the Dollar card
