@@enrike8571 thats the detail i was not aware of... now i've bugged mine out due to it. can i use a warp gate from here to there, then back to fix it? i'll get freighter rescues elsewhere other than the target system due to.... eagerness addictively
1 thing that really annoys me about freighters now is the part around the hanger that you can't change the colour of. That's why Ive spent a lot of time lately trying to find the right colours lol.

what annoys me most, and this is specific to the sentinel freighters is that stupid tower right in front of the hangar. It's the only thing that makes me not want one
Your videos are great, thanks for the info. I think Sentinel freighters are better looking than Venator, But I always keep a Venator because Sentinel has that annoying pole right in front of the entrance, and when we leave the freighter we need to immediately turn left or right to avoid crashing into that pole XD

Worth to mention that while Pirate-controlled systems give better chance for S-class to spawn they have a hidden disadvantage too. All freighters obtained there start with significantly less tech and inventory slots. So, fishing for one in a 3* economy systems might be a better idea unless you have plenty of freighter inventory upgrades to spare.

So what? Switch to Creative mode and upgrade to 60+120
@@EvilTeddie23 That's for people who doesn't want or simply can't switch to creative. There's an option to lock settings, so you can't change them later. Hardcore mode enable it by default as I recall.
Of course when you swapping your freighter for the 10th time just for the different exterior outlook there's no reason to manually upgrade it all over again (unless you hate yourself). XD

Another nice way to get one of these is to not claim the very first one you encounter as it is a simple system freighter and the next Freighter you encounter you will be able to get for free, if it is the one you want

i am new player at nms, and dont know nothing about the mechanic about the free Freighter, but i am ended get Capital Sentinel Freighter S Class without any tricks that mentioned in that video. and after i know about the mechanic i just reliaze that i got very lucy about that. fyi igot it from 3 star economy system so the Freighter has decent tech and cargo space

I am doing exactly the same as you, when the fight start I go to the space station create the save, the first time I went out the Freighter was there but a class C, reload back to the station and now all I see is a bunch of frigates and other ships, no Freighter.
EDIT:Nvm! If you look away from where the ships spawn and look back the freighter will be there.
40+ mins and dozens of reloads later still trying lol.

I think there is either a bug or an update that causes freighters to despawn after entering a space station or resetting the restore point. Hit the three hour mark, got the freighter to spawn, did exactly what you did, but it disappeared. Can't reload because the damn restore point so i have to wait another 3 hours. Honestly, it's best for everyone to make quick money and just buy one out right.

Great video as always! I wouldn't mind an updated freighter video for venator capital ship though. I've gone to every venator posting so far and cant get them to trigger the mission. I'm losing hope I'll get the S Class white venator like I want.

Recommend check space combat setting. It can prevent it from trigger
3 hours of gameplay, 5 jumps and then jump into a system with Venator with combat enabled. I've got one yesterday this way. Got fed up with that antenna in front of the launch bay of the sentinel freighter.
If you are a new player and these are your first 5 jumps then simply kill the pirates, take money from whatever system freighter spawn there and go play 3 hours more and 5 more jumps. Capital freighter can't spawn in first encounter. You still can get one for free if you skip system freighter in the first fight.
I wish the Oculus freighters had better stats but they are always poor and I haven't seen many with a lot of supercharged slots even when S class. I'm hoping they come out with living freighters some day.

So, I think I misunderstood the plan. If I get the battle first warp I should've reloaded the last save then turn off combat to not trigger in the wrong system?
But if I messed that up, I wasted SOOOOO much fuel trying to do the 5 warps after and could NOT trigger it.

it has other types sentinel freighter and colors . yeah it's randomly .but if u go to same location as i am it's the same

I actually swapped my star destroyer today for the same coloured freighter but mine had the square cargo pods and it was in a tier 2 system lol. Edit mine was yellow and blue! I meant same cargo pods but different colours.

I've made close to 100 attempts to get the featured ship in S class, but the ship is C class EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. only the number of slots is changing.
I'm doing exactly what you did in the video, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm starting to think this method no longer works after the Singularity update.

you can spend 3 hours anywhere anytime . but yes . but no need to do that there if u don't want

yes you can trigger it again but u will need wait 3 hours sadly since last time you triggered it

the reason it only cost 70mil because of lacking storage space. Taking a 70 mil is not really recommend cause you will need a lot of cargo bulkhead :/
Pirate system tends to give a lot of S class but it usually scam on the storage space, same goes for ships. Lost me some half a day to get a good capital freighter with S class and a lot of storage

I have had a Dreadnought for years, was told it was such an old freighter type that I should look for a new one. I refused - coolest ship in the game I say.

@@hero2u1 i just discovered the event wont spawn in a system with an atlas station. i cant find any information about this but wasted so much fuel trying to get an event to spawn in a particular system that had an atlas station but warping to a completely different system spawned the event. this was also after wasting so much time with a non pirate system only to try and switch over to the pirate system and have it not spawn at all. and then waste more tyme trying to get it to spawn in that particular system.

They really need to rework class system. Ship hunting is fine, but inability to upgrade freighter class is insanely bad.
You can't just say that getting S freighter like this is normal. In my 320 hours where I never reload I haven't met S freighter even once!

I skipped warping around, just left the system and went back then went in the space station and came back out. Their it was

The freighter type it's Capital Sentinel . that type of freighter
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I have 199 hours in No Man's Sky. Multiplayer is disabled, and my settings were first in hostile, and then in standard. I'm in the right system. I've made restore points in all the places you said. I've travelled to over 50 systems by now, and not one rescue mission has started. This is infuriating, as I've now just wasted two hours of my life trying to get this freighter, and I can't even get past the first step.
Ship should spawn every 3 hours

game doesn't let you create restore point on Freighter in space or Derelict Freighter . so only from station or anomaly or on planet

But what should I do if there's only 1 warp left to trigger rescue mission? I get to system with Sentinel Freighter, but to trigger I have to warp 1 time, so i have to warp to another system, and mission triggers in wrong system. Pointless.
it's pretty simple ^.^ . go to any close system and take screenshot and reload restore point to before it . then go to that system glyphs from portal and go straight to target system

Does not work anymore…as he says if u find the freighter go into space station make a save point and go back they still fighting so u gonna have to save the freighter and you cant reload to change its class

you can spend 3 hours anywhere . or doing anything you like
then after 3 hours u can go to target system and have to warp 5 times around it till u get Rescue mission then u reload restore point and go straight to target

need the portal glyphs for the neighboring system . im on my final jump.
u can disable space combat and go to neighbor system and take screenshot . mission won't trigger as long space combat is disabled

yeah u don't have to do it in 1 time . u can do them on few days if u want . if u spent 3 hours game total it will trigger
