the ears of the pads/tops of the stainless clips are not supposed to be lubed so dirt doesn't build up in the grease and hinder breaking/cause uneven pad wear, consider popping the clips off and checking if there's rust scale swelling against the clip in the channel and clean it up and put a tiny amount of anti-seize or similar under the clips. as for the backs of the pads its frowned upon but can help on vehicles that the brakes are known to creak on braking even with good slide pins and such, just use enough to barely coat the liner on the back of the pads where they contact the caliper so as close to nothing as possible can get washed onto the rotor and contaminate your pads and worsen your breaking

I had the same noise on my 14 sierra. Pulled the pins, they looked good but cleaned them up and greased them. Noise went away!
