Chillax they announced em
FINALLY the BRUSHLESS motor comes out. I've been waiting for this motor to come out, like yesterday Ma Peeps, Ya Hurd! ✌️🇺🇲😆
72" Shaft On a Key West 244CC. Minn Kota sent the first one which was professionally installed but was found to be delivered defective. It would not trim. This is a brand new product and as always there can be "hiccups" . This was a big one because after the installer removed it, he took it to an authorized Minn Kota Sales and Repair shop, it had to be returned because it was in fact defective. Minn Kota replaced the unit free of charge which was fair. However, the labor to remove it and bring it to a repair shop, pick up the new one and reinstall it was not free. Not to mention a months delay to finally have an operating unit. Kind of sucks to be delayed and pay extra after buying a very expensive unit. On the bright side... Minn Kota did replace it. Seems like an extremely solid unit compared to any other Trolling Motor I have ever seen. Haven't really used it yet. Only time will tell. If you are a patient person, I suggest you wait until they work the bugs out.
Wow I’m starting to feel like I need one of these
All the battery powered tool companies have been making brushless motors since 2009. Minn kota middle of 2023: innovation starts here for a premium price point too…haha coming soon in 2024!
It was probably harder and more expensive to make such a large brushless motor
Did they finally fix the ongoing issue with the auto stow/deploy brackets that keep breaking for so many people?
When will you publish a manual for the new Ulterra Quest TM.
Been waiting for this!
Dam, you all are tough. 😂
It's funny that the video didn't actually say anything about what is different in this vs their other models, just that it wants to be in bad conditions, which I do remember them bragging about the indestructibility of their power drive and similar models.
I have the 2018 Ulterra and I have had NOTHING but problems. I have the I-pilot link remote and it's too sensitive. I hang it on my neck and if it spins around and brushes up against my shirt it will make it do things that you don't want it to. Like deploy or stow, come off spot lock, go to full power, it turned on remote lock and I was trolling at speed 6 and all of a sudden I see a partially sunken rock, I tried to steer right around it but the remote was locked because my shirt brushed up against my shirt. I hit the right button to steer and nothing happened. I hit that rock so hard my sister and I flew out of our seats onto the boat almost going overboard. It damaged my boat, all I heard was crunching sound of fiberglass where the trolling motor was mounted. This is going to kill someone someday. I even tried putting a screen protector on the remote hoping it would cut the screen sensitivity down but it didn't help. It has deployed by itself in shallow water numerous times bending the deploy/stow motor shaft. Stretched the belt. Minn kota KNOWS this remote is too sensitive and they have done NOTHING about it.
When are these being released? All I see is "soon."
☝️...and a new little price tag
4k for the base ultrex 😂
I am getting older and would like to back the trailer down the ramp and let the boat float off the Trailer and as soon as The bow clears The trailer I would then like to Lower the trim to get the trolling motor in the water and then Press the spot lock To hold the Boat in place Until I can Park the truck, and then come back to the dock where the boat is and motor it back over to me. This way I don't have to get my feet wet or do a balancing act on the trailer, and with the rope .... It would be so much easier. ????? My question is what is the range in feet(40 feet?) that the remote has to be within the trolling motor so that it doesn't lose function/connection? In other words, when I go to park my truck and trailer will the trolling motor lose the spot lock command because I'm too far away with the remote, otherwise, I could just leave the remote near the boat dock while I go park my truck and trailer? thank you.... Wonderful product!
Deb Austin,
The range on the remote is 40 Feet.
Best Regards.
so once I have To avoid the motor and put it on Spotlock.... If I walk 40 feet away from the boat with the remote in my hand will the trolling motor come off of Spot locked?
Just buy a talon, problem solved
@@MinnKotaMotors can you please answer the part of the questions? Will you lose command if you walk away 40 ft and come back?
@@debaustin2822 Did you ever get any clarification on this?
Wow I watched this video twice and learned nothing.
Holy shite! Their videos are worse than their website ...which tells you to watch the video for more info. Lots of words, ZERO information. FAIL!
This tells me NOTHING about the product.
Learned Nothing
