Sean Murray, you can tell he is just a really down to earth humble guy who seems super nice. Good to see good folks working on a game such as this. Wish this game a lot of success as I have been waiting on this for awhile.
I'm looking forward to this game a lot. I think it will be like the binding of Isaac in the fact that I'll chip away at it over a long period of time until I reach the center of the universe rather than just playing it non stop until I get to that point
LMAO This video is what it would be like explaining no man's sky to my dad in my 20s....real nice guy loves his son enough to listen about his "video game" and spend some one on one time with his son but at the end of the day just checkles pats my head and with a half smile says that's good son and walks away thinking.....Cute Kid!
my dad is worse. He just devalues everything and anything that i show him. Purposefully. And with everybody and everything, not just me. So I've stopped doing that. He has no comprehension this game even exists. And its better for us that way.
Same here, my dad never showed any interest in my hobbies like gaming, says they're pointless and.that he'd"rather live in the real world." He's a bit of a downer tbh. If I ever have kids myself I'd love to spend time getting to know their world.
+Readersfun Is Hardline good? Is Arkham knight good? That's what I thought, now stop rushing games so this problem ends. Let it release when it's finished in June.
+ManyAlpacasYT It's true, although it was ironed out back in August. That's probably why they didn't announce a release date until later though; the delay to 2016 is just down to tech issues and making it work.
No one in the comment section has even mentioned the Music featured in this... This game is getting better as time passes, and can only evolve from there. June 2016 is the perfect date for them to iron everything out to near perfection, and when even a conversation piece makes me giggle like a goddamn japanese school-girl in big part because of the music in the Background... Then we have something special coming to us. It might be kind of a novelty thing due to the game's nature (The shooting isn't exactly Killing Floor-esque), and it might be an acquired taste for those who wish to seriously invest time on this game for what it's worth. But the fact that this game got featured in some of the more sophisticated Tech expos AND in one of the best late night shows ever, it's already in gaming history for sure :) (Also sorry for some shoddy English. I'm Italian :D)
Lord Sir Crumpet My hype was lost last summer because theres been so much footage of it, then I lost it. Now its building up again. Meaning this game have been in developement for too long lol
Depends what your looking for I think. Plus other than gunplay and the procedural planets we haven't seen much (like the upgrade, faction and trading systems for example) so it's hard to judge just yet
In every interview and media appearance, Sean Murray (Hello Games) looks radiantly happy. You can tell that he is extremely passionate about this game, and, if the game is a reflection of this passion, I can't wait to play it and fall in love with it like Smiling Sean already has.
I've even seen things that look as much like a river as that does, i.e. not much There's all sorts of features like that on the edge of water areas depending on what the terrain is doing.
+Willian Gabriel Graphics don't look that revolutionary as every person on the internet might make you think. The FOV is hurting my eyes way to fast. The activities you can do seem limited. So far we've only seen him explore a couple of planets and shoot some robots. The game looks fun for about a week. I don't see myself playing this for months or weeks sadly.
TheLardtoast shrug, i like the game so far; could do with more things to do on planets but i can't make a whole judgement yet based on the few solar systems and planets i've been to
+Marquis For example there are no sand planets, you can't land on asteroids, no rivers/ponds, 2 players couldn't see each other even though they promised that you could....... I'm not hating on the game (I actually love it) but you gotta admit that the lies were too much
When you found a company, create a game, work with Sony and publish a QUALITY game, come back and post. I'm sure it's not HALF as easy as we all seem to think. Here's hoping updates and patches give us the NMS we were waiting for. #DestinyAgain?
Who wouldnt thought Murray the creator of the Joe Danger series came up with one of the biggest projects ever seen in gaming history! Now i hope for him and everyone at hello games that they succeed with chasing their childhood dream game! Good luck i cant wait to play it in about 4 months
I take one extended look at any of the videos shown for this and I see a concept that will ware off quickly. I see no construction or any other engaging element apart from what is being paraded around as "go anywhere." Ok, so I fly around, upgrade my star drive, see some eye candy....and?
+Enveloped Angel exactly, procedural generation isn't a viable way of creating an interesting game space anyway. Half the planets you land on will be useless dust bowls and who cares about collecting materials and naming animals when there's no goal to speak of. This guy is the 2nd coming of peter molyneux, all talk but no substance
Lord Sir Crumpet Obligatory. You come off as goofy and deluded as the flannel shirt clown in this video. We'll see whats what when this thing comes out in 2019
+llwayneio you have nothing to base that peter molyneux statement on... NOTHING. Hello Games have only released decent titles to date with the Joe Danger series so why don't we wait and see how it turns out. +Enveloped Angel there's more to do than just look around, you don't only upgrade your ship but you can also upgrade your multi-tool (weapon) and suit all 3 can be seen as a form of progression towards the games "end game" in the center on the universe. There's also mining minerals, gathering artifacts and crafting (complete with it's own periodic table based of the real life one). if you want more excitement you can go around killing off species and pissing off the space police which have a GTA style wanted level, every species you kill will mean no one will ever get to see that species except you. You can also engage is space dogfights, in which you can have wing-men and attack larger ships. You can trade resources and upload discoveries in order to get in-game credits. so yeah plenty to do considering the size of the game.
you know what convinced me to buy this game?? its because of sean murray, idk what it is but he just seem so humble and nice, like he gives off this feeling that u could fking trust him
He reverted to shooting things really!!! If I had a pre release gameplay session of this game the last thing I would be doing is shooting things, who's with me lol
Just look at Sean's face, how many game developer are that hype for they own game ? Really glad to see his gamer personality instead of someone who just want money aka EA
it looks good, it plays good( i assume), but this was my dream game and here it is. can't wait. and oh my,sushei yoshida i love how he's so excited about it!
this game will truly shine with age. I say that as in hello games will continue to add updates to this game after its released. like minecraft with monthly updates. but if you truly want a unique experience. Play it on the Pc, modding community will go nuts over this game.
I'm glad so many people hate the game. More for us who actually waited their lives for this game. Leave the gameplay to those who actually want to play it. I've loved it more and more since it was announced in 2013. I don't think this game needs any more features added it is already so sick looking.
Does Sean ever stop smiling? Seriously, guy seems just crazy happy 24/7, I mean, so would I if I were making this crazy of a game, but wow. What a good natured person.
+Chronas 9.9 It was the same planets from IGN apart from the last ones. It's running on an aged build. I want more planets like in the original trailers.
I'm fine with waiting until the games finished for it to be released. But I've seen this same demo a hundred times. Don't be afraid to go quiet until it's closer to the release date, everyone is already aware of this beauty!!
If this game comes out with flying colors, no game breaking glitches, lack of cut content that was shown before, etc. then this game would be proof that there is in fact a God.
I'm excited for this release. I just wanna smoke some weed, throw on my vr headset and explore countless ecosystems while coasting toward the center of everything...summer 2016, I miss you already.
@.@ this game look's so fun. And at the same time really calm and peaceful. I could get lost for hour's just exploring the world's. And OMG the area style make's me gush so much :)
Paolo Joseph Lobitaña Yeah, impossible is an understatement. Sean Murray said it himself, NMS may have enough content for everyone for the rest of time immemorial (literally) but it's not meant to be played like that. As technology improves and procedural generation becomes faster, better and more efficient , so will the games themselves. HG are just setting the foundation for what will be a new era in gaming in which the computer does most of it for you. But if this game fails, the future of procedural generation hangs in the balance. This is why they have so much pressure on them (as well as the hype of course).
I really hope this game will have support for PlayStation VR. It's a type of game that would benefit immensely with the added immersion that VR gives. And would undoubtedly push even more PSVR units out of the stores come launch :)
Only complaint I have is that the space combat has been scaled back. The battles aren't as big as they were in the trailers. Hopefully this will be updated in the near future.
haven't really been following this game but seeing the fact it renders stuff in front of you and there's a bit of pop in honestly makes me think this is a good thing. idm if devs decide to make a sacrifice somewhere else to deliver a better experience overall and i'm glad they are doing what they can to make the game still playable but also aren't focusing on making it look AMAZING. i like the aesthetic for the game and seeing a lot of this stuff in engine makes me actually start believing they can deliver on their promises. definitely looking forward to the game a lot more especially with how it seems like there's a lot of playstyles to go with :3.
Willian Gabriel there's always a limit, i'll stick by a lot as infinite is an improbability no matter what. as long as there is data there is a limit to the tools you can give to give players the freedom of choice for a playstyle.
Tyler Worsham oh i've known about no man's sky for a while and i know the promises they made what i'm more thinking about is just how much they can deliver and so far they are doing pretty well.
I just realized something. It'll be a rare thing to meet other players, because the universe is so massive and everything. But if everyone's trying to reach the center of the universe, that means our chances of meeting up with others increases, and if there's some kind of central planet I wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a shared hub of sorts.
+Yo Mama Centre of the galaxy. And no that won't happen it's been confirmed that even at the centre you will still be really far apart from most people.
Nikko Smit I just want it to have a good amount of things to do, like Minecraft. It doesn't need a story or crazy character customization, just enough content so that it doesn't just feel like i'm just flying around trading stuff with NPCs.
+ll novawing ll you could just do that. But, that's more something in a traditional space sim. In any case, there are elements of Elements and crafting. Blow stuff up, get stuff. Get money as well just for uploading discoveries. New upgrades to your suit and ship, buy entire new ships, find alien artificers. Eh. Depends on how you want to play the game. I guarantee someone will stay on one planet and mine everything possible, just because.
+ll novawing ll at launch you will be able to: Be a Pirate, Be a Trader, Be an Explorer, Mine, name animals, Name planets, name individual locations on planets, buy and trade ships, join factions, craft upgrades for your multi tool and ships, and lastly reach the goal at the center of the universe
Just go look up all of the content and previews IGN has of this game. Whether it actually plays well and works properly won't be known until release of course, but having enough stuff to do is the last worry you should have about this game. If you feel the need to worry about this game I'd worry about there being too much to do...the ermous scope, open ended nature of this game and what you could do, discover, and create is mind boggling. They haven't described it like this, but I'd say the best way to describe it is if you combined Star Trek's universe wide exploration, discovery, and adventure with Minecraft's open ended nature and game play where you can literally do whatever you want and all you have to do is just explore and experiment with the possibilities and share with others.
He was so excited when he grabbed the controller from Sean. I bet Sean is happy knowing his game makes people so excited.
I love this game!
Sean Murray, you can tell he is just a really down to earth humble guy who seems super nice. Good to see good folks working on a game such as this. Wish this game a lot of success as I have been waiting on this for awhile.
This game should be full price, battlefront should only be $30
+GuitarKid218 If it's as good as it looks, then I would pay even more
agree
+GuitarKid218 this game should be $20 To attract many players and and it will be alot of fun
+GuitarKid218 periphery!
bizzarevan You know it!
ah hahahaha! shuhei takes the controller and immediately starts attacking the space police.
Shu loves NWA
+croftant2 The Shug Life chose him
+ian “naion” pirrall savage shuhei
+Zedfinite lmao XD
This and VR a dream come true :D
It's called PLAYSTATION VR now.
+P Carr It will always be known as Morpheus
My chilxhood dreams have come true
+Pixel Cobras it's called PlayStation VR now.
+fanzeldadaniel VR just got priced for me. Pretty expensive.
Every household needs a Sea Murray.
+Lord Spade Sean* probably. A sea of Murray would be fine too, though.
+Lord Spade I agree.
+Lord Spade I've seen sea Murrays in an aquarium, awesome creatures ! :P
Johan Dale I perform blood sacrifices to him.
Lord Sir Crumpet Heresy !
And Shu was never seen again
I'm looking forward to this game a lot. I think it will be like the binding of Isaac in the fact that I'll chip away at it over a long period of time until I reach the center of the universe rather than just playing it non stop until I get to that point
+Ivan Navarro exactly
+Ivan Navarro this... you can play it. also the rpg and "the free updates" will give us an almost terraria feel
If it will be how they described, it takes reaaaaally long time to reach center of the universe :)
BluWarta92 how will we even know if we going the the right direction lol
+Enity Elm I suspect it's either a visible spot or we get some sort of 3 dimensional compass. but who knows :)
why is this so much better than the actual game?
because they wanted that juicy pre-order money
I'm so happy for Sean to see how far he has come :)
Why, did your dad platinum Bloodborne too?
+liam doherty Just joking, don't flip out.
+Ram Berto you made me lmfao alone in the dark! hahahaa
my dad is worse. He just devalues everything and anything that i show him. Purposefully. And with everybody and everything, not just me.
So I've stopped doing that. He has no comprehension this game even exists. And its better for us that way.

More like this please Sony. I want to see Shu sit down with developers and play their games.
Same this was nice
JUST RELEASE THE GAME ALREADY AND STOP SMILING!!!
+Readersfun *peels upper lip further in for even creepier smile*
Comes out in June...
+Readersfun Is Hardline good? Is Arkham knight good? That's what I thought, now stop rushing games so this problem ends. Let it release when it's finished in June.
+mike Delmonaco games been finished for ages, they had several gameplay demonstrations showcasing the full game, they're just being dicks
Trust me you don't want a Battlefield 4 release
coming to a retailer near you in 2036
+Barack Osama Release date is June 2016.
+Willian Gabriel yeah and before that they said "definetly 2015"
Niklas Johansson They had issues with copyright with some sky sports news network. It's been solved though.
+Niklas Johansson (Exenom) they never said that...
+ManyAlpacasYT It's true, although it was ironed out back in August. That's probably why they didn't announce a release date until later though; the delay to 2016 is just down to tech issues and making it work.
This game gives the feels.
this guy, sean, seems to be such a nice person, he is like the nicest guy i've ever seen
this is what you want ;) A game designer who is passionate about making games ;)
More like a game designer and Sony figurehead who are passionate about making money!
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS, SERIOUSLY BINGING OFF OF WHATEVER VIDEOS I CAN FIND! DEFINITELY GETTING THIS ON LAUNCH/PRE ORDERING IN AUSTRALIA!
+Davide Gargiulo The music is made by 65DaysofStatic, And there is a procedurally generated soundtrack as well.
I knew that from the start, I just couldn't believe the procedurally generated music is that good as it is! :D
Davide Gargiulo Yep. This game is going to be awesome.
They released the soundtrack, the part of the song they are playing is Borealis/Contrastellar
This was adorable, love these guys.
Dammit I shouldn't watch this, I'm getting too hyped.
+Tommy Sasaki My hype has been long lost.
Lord Sir Crumpet My hype was lost last summer because theres been so much footage of it, then I lost it. Now its building up again.
Meaning this game have been in developement for too long lol
Tommy Sasaki Mine since E3.
***** Ok, things may be different for indie devs. They may need as much attention as they can get.
Same here
my hype has been like a roller coaster for this game
Good news!! I just opened my PS4 Christmas gift!!
Congrats! Might see you in game!
+ET Go Home no

yes
+ET Go Home No. You won't. Ever.

I was being friendly smart one. It's not impossible, just very very very unlikely. Less than 1% of 1%.
This looks amazing, I haven't looked forward to a game in awhile but this really feels and looks like a truly great experience.
we all know this is going to be the biggest let down in this century
We all know your the gayest in the universe
+ʎʞs ɐɓɓıu oʎ you're
+ʎʞs ɐɓɓıu oʎ What does that have to do with anythin.? :P
Anyway, i am hyped for this game as much as you're
it's just...it feels too good to be true.
+ʎʞs ɐɓɓıu oʎ also, nice profile picture
Depends what your looking for I think. Plus other than gunplay and the procedural planets we haven't seen much (like the upgrade, faction and trading systems for example) so it's hard to judge just yet

this is saddest keynote for me
+anvesh mydg lmao i dont know y they made it like that lol
I really love Sean Murray, It seems he loves his job and that give me a lot of trust.
So the Game released and nothing looks like that 3:57 ....
Ikr
Yes it does. Minus the river.
I've even seen things that look as much like a river as that does, i.e. not much
There's all sorts of features like that on the edge of water areas depending on what the terrain is doing.
Guess you’ve only played the game for what 2 hours? Fam these planets exist
2016 GOTY
ITS UNCHARTED 4
+TehReelSanic no men, no!
+KKsHaDoWx and every year after that ever
I think this game will be a let down. I have high hopes, but... Idk
Quantum break is 2016 GOTY.
i would like to see neil degrasse tyson playing this game lol
You know your game's good if a big company lets you boss their boss around for a while. Well done, Hello Games. Can't wait for NMS!
I'm getting very worried about this game now.....
+Ainsley Harriott Why?
+Willian Gabriel Graphics don't look that revolutionary as every person on the internet might make you think. The FOV is hurting my eyes way to fast. The activities you can do seem limited. So far we've only seen him explore a couple of planets and shoot some robots.
The game looks fun for about a week. I don't see myself playing this for months or weeks sadly.
Robert Oortwijn I know they aren't ED has better ones.
+chebstop larrig lmao you were so wrong
TheLardtoast shrug, i like the game so far; could do with more things to do on planets but i can't make a whole judgement yet based on the few solar systems and planets i've been to
Oh, look, it's the same five planets we've been looking at since 2014! Truly, a game with endless variety!
+Curratum There are 18.5 quintillion worlds.
lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies
I just realized that Sean Murray is Todd Howard's long lost brother.........they both are liars.
What exactly are the lies here?
+Marquis For example there are no sand planets, you can't land on asteroids, no rivers/ponds, 2 players couldn't see each other even though they promised that you could.......
I'm not hating on the game (I actually love it) but you gotta admit that the lies were too much

I am desperately waiting for this game. thank you!
I laugh at people who really bought this game and fell into the scam.. :D
I laugh at people who don't know a good game when they play one, and actually get refund after 70hrs of playing. #thieves
I'm really happy about this game because every time time I watch a gameplay video it's a new planet and there's basically no spoilers at all.
why was all the good stuff cut out of the game?
Ikr
Probably more decisions beyond Sean than we imagine. Deadlines, cost analysis, focus groups, #Sony.... :/
Nice to see the refinement of the game as each new footage is released.
Hi
I love how you can see how proud Sean is to be where he is on his face.
Lies Lies Lies
Great video! Very down to earth and fun to watch their excitement for this game.
LIEEEEEEEEES
you know what convinced me to buy this game?? its because of sean murray, idk what it is but he just seem so humble and nice, like he gives off this feeling that u could fking trust him
Can't wait for June to finally try this out! Good work guys =).
I'm glad that people are still talking about this game
seans smile brings warmth to my cold dark soul
He reverted to shooting things really!!! If I had a pre release gameplay session of this game the last thing I would be doing is shooting things, who's with me lol
Can't wait to play this game, it's not about playing anymore it's about discovering
Just look at Sean's face, how many game developer are that hype for they own game ? Really glad to see his gamer personality instead of someone who just want money aka EA
Amazing!!!
commentary on December, 2015
it looks good, it plays good( i assume), but this was my dream game and here it is. can't wait. and oh my,sushei yoshida i love how he's so excited about it!
this game will truly shine with age. I say that as in hello games will continue to add updates to this game after its released. like minecraft with monthly updates. but if you truly want a unique experience. Play it on the Pc, modding community will go nuts over this game.
Apparently the entire presentation was 2 hours long but they cut it down for spoilers...Now that's something to be hyped about
keep up the great work hello games. I love your games.
To have both ED and this in the games collection, life is good.
Everyone else can complain about the game, but IM genuinely excited for everything about this game. Thanks Hello Games :).
when Sean smiles I smile, and he smiles ALOT
man this is short. i could have watched this for an hour.
I'm glad so many people hate the game. More for us who actually waited their lives for this game. Leave the gameplay to those who actually want to play it. I've loved it more and more since it was announced in 2013. I don't think this game needs any more features added it is already so sick looking.
+Kyle Storjohann exactly this
over-hype it so the call of duty ADD crowd loses attention and keeps out of our video game :-)
Does Sean ever stop smiling? Seriously, guy seems just crazy happy 24/7, I mean, so would I if I were making this crazy of a game, but wow. What a good natured person.
+William Knight There's also the possibility that this is how he copes with any anxiety.
True. I saw something where he was saying the game is a nightmare to develop and I'd imagine it is in a lot of ways.
Sean Murray is so happy to show off his creation i think this is how games should be made not shoved out once a year.
I just love how humble Sean is
sooo freaking cute!!! shu is like gimme the dang controller already ;) can't wait for this game!!
those planets were great! loved seeing more gameplay although its a long long away
+Chronas 9.9 It was the same planets from IGN apart from the last ones. It's running on an aged build. I want more planets like in the original trailers.

Can't wait for this to release.
Nice, finally some gunplay and a wanted level? interesting, definately looking forward to seeing more
+Typhonua Theres lot of gameplays and he already showed us wanted level
Nice to see someone else play it. Clearly no hoax. It isn't on rails. Yippee!

"It sounds almost like a kid's game design thing". And that's why it's brilliant.
I really can't wait for this game
@.@ this game look's so fun. And at the same time really calm and peaceful. I could get lost for hour's just exploring the world's. And OMG the area style make's me gush so much :)
this game is gonna be the greatest tech demo ever
Who totally wants to see a JRPG inspired by No Man's Sky?
You could imagine the possibilities for future sequels to Star Ocean!
this game is just stupidly amazing, I don't even know how this game was even possible to be made. The future has arrived, everyone XO
+hugo votan Handcrafted worlds are going to be a thing of the past.
Paolo Joseph Lobitaña Yeah, impossible is an understatement. Shuhei seems like a great guy.
This looks fine backround game while listening a podcast or music for few hour.

idm if devs decide to make a sacrifice somewhere else to deliver a better experience overall and i'm glad they are doing what they can to make the game still playable but also aren't focusing on making it look AMAZING. i like the aesthetic for the game and seeing a lot of this stuff in engine makes me actually start believing they can deliver on their promises.
definitely looking forward to the game a lot more especially with how it seems like there's a lot of playstyles to go with :3.
+Rhys Awik About infinite playstyles. Yeah, that's a lot.
Willian Gabriel
there's always a limit, i'll stick by a lot as infinite is an improbability no matter what.
as long as there is data there is a limit to the tools you can give to give players the freedom of choice for a playstyle.
Tyler Worsham
oh i've known about no man's sky for a while and i know the promises they made what i'm more thinking about is just how much they can deliver and so far they are doing pretty well.
shu had that look in his eyes that said, "come and get me coppers!"
No Man's Sky and the forest 2016!! PS4
Sean's face when Yoshida takes the controller is classic haha. I would have been flipping out too.
4:24 that sinister look on Seans face! hes so eager to see the master Yoshida fall to his creation! I would be too! xD
can't wait for this game
Game of the century period this will break every record etc I can go on and see what's this games future is going to be like
Shuhei Yoshida like a sign , that it will be in VR, but not a word about it, strange....
I'm surprised this wasn't shown during the PSX expo.
This game is too good to be true !
I hope that by the time this game is released it's been refined and has lots of depth.
What to you is "depth"? This game is notorious for making people think it does things it won't.
