We have our county fair going on right now and they have the same type of potato on a stick. They're called spiral fries. They don't come with all of those sauces drizzled on them, but you can get ketchup, ranch, garlic parmesan, honey mustard, etc. on the side for dipping. The potatoes are seasoned with the same spice mix that's used on curly fries. They're really delicious! We have tickets for tomorrow, but this makes me want to hop in the car and head to the fair right now! LOL
This is really FANTASTIC! I could almost sense and smell it all - and feel as if I was there, just from the colours, surroundings and filming. SUPERB 👏❤🥳
Oh my! I’ve always said that I’ve never met a spud 🥔 I didn’t like, and this spiral cut and fried potato looks absolutely delicious! 🤤 I’d smash that! Of course, then I’d probably crave one every day! Mmmmm🥔😋
Arby's Roast Beef Sandwiches sells a simpler version of these called Curly Fries. They are smaller pieces with Chili Powder seasoning in cardboard sleeves like French Fries. Very yummy way to serve potatoes.
We have things like that in America. But mostly it's dressed with butter, salt, pepper, cheese sauce, or sour cream and onion dip. It can have spicy 'Tex Mex' seasoning as well. It's a 'fair food' that they serve at county or state fairs.
I am Pakistani American and I had those before but I won’t lie I like Pakistani more because it comes with so many different spices! I wish it can come to the U.S so everyone can experience it

Yeah we have potato twists too, at fairgrounds and at the seaside places in the UK. Easy to make at home if you have a deep fat fryer long enough. Luckily I bought a large one for frying the bigger pieces of battered fish, halved chickens and big donuts in so I make these too sometimes. I like grated cheese, garlic and herbs on mine, or sometimes just plain old salt and vinegar.
100 PKR ($0.48 Canadian)! You can't BUY a bag of chips for that price, and that looks far tastier! I would love to know the sauce recipes so I can make my own!
Some county fairs have them. Except not on a stick. Just put on a plate with hot cheese sauce on it. They call them grater taters here in the US. More like a combination potato chip and fried potatoes depending on how thick they are. And delicious too!
Wow, I should go out more often. I’ve never seen this before. Don’t forget to hit like and subscribe. Have a great day from Vancouver,BC. Canada. Yeah, yeah, it’s raining again and I love it. Better than being hot.
Ahh yes the Potato on a stick that you find at the L.A. and Orange County fair.....im sure its less than a dollar there in Pakistan. But here in the good ol U.S.A of inflation, its 15 dollars here, 18 if you want cheese sauce lol
What did he dip and swirl it in before lowering it into the oil? Doesn't appear to be a cornstarch slurry, as the potato stick doesn't appear to be coated.
I am happy that the fanbase appreciates the food😊 I see many talented street vendors from South Asia on Instagram, and people just harass them for not wearing gloves or the ingredients 😢
Which was was washed/scrubbed; hand cut; dipped in batter; fried and topped with multiple sauces and a wrapper if taking away. So you may mock the RS 100 cost but for them, it's a living

The fact he said it's tastier than all those other things he tried, Really makes me want to try it ♥
I would like to see more of the Local foods in PK :)
I think he would make a perfect guide to the local food.😊
They have these in the US too and in Canada.

This way of preparing potatoes is called tortato in my home state of Idaho. It’s available to purchase at fairs and carnivals.
That looks so tasty.

Is that cornstarch mixed with water that the potato is dipped in?
