This is a quick video to show the best and quickest way to break in your new Cowboy or Cowgirl boots! Just to be clear I mix 1/3 alcohol with 2/3 water.
I have gotten lots of questions about my super cool boots. These are Tony Lama Model 6064 square toe men's boots. They have a leather soul and are pretty sweet. They are not available on Amazon but I did find a model that is very similar at the link below.
Warning! If you buy Tony Lamas you have to listen to "New Tony Lamas" by Darrel Dodd! Is classic, must drink beer while listening!

How to destroy your boots in 30 minutes. Alcohol is horrible for leather and causes it to dry out and crack

Rubbing alcohol has an ENORMOUSLY drying out effect on boots, so it's very important to thoroughly moisturize your boots AFTER to avoid, literal, cracking of the leather, later on. My Lucchese boots were more than six hundred bucks, not something I'd EVER treat 🙃 poorly!

I think Ariat or some other boot company might have boot stretching spray for sale. If you can, give that a try. The alcohol and water mix works as a last minute thing. Just a tip!

I usually just wear my nice boots to break them in but my work boots I run the hose over the base of them and wear them around but always follow up with a conditioner/ water resistant cream.

Steaming the inside of them using a tea kettle works way faster......just bring water to boil where it's whistling and blowing stream, stream inside of boot and put them on walk around house a little , can be done in less than a half hour...

Doesn't rubbing alcohol dry the boots or something like that?

  • @joe7528

All these people saying how to ruin or destroy your boots with this method well i got some bad news for you it will not destroy or ruin your boots in fact it's the same method shoe repair shops use for many years to relax lether so they can stretch it and btw that bottle of leather stretcher or relaxer that you can buy guess what it's the same thing yes that's right it's alcohol and water mix so now that you have been educated you might want to do your research before you comment on something you don't know nothing about

I LOVE your cowboy boots, Mower Mike!! Lucheese (?) boots stand out to me. I've LOVED cowboy boots since I was little! I have a broken-in brown pair. I wear mine with loose jeans and even shorts!! I LOVE the pattern on the toe of cowboy boots. I think it makes them stand out more. I LOVE how they make me look taller and women notice. I'm 5'10" and I wear size 12. Cowboy boots need their own paid holiday!! :) :)
