Vajrasana || Yoga for beginners || yoga for good digestion

  • This is one for the easy and simple posture to practice which will help to tone your abdominal muscles and gives a mild stretch to your thighs and helps get you a better digestion system also cure gastric problem if you have any. You can practice this after food for 4 minutes. Sit on the floor comfortable on your heels and if that is difficult you can keep a pillow on the floor and then sit on it or you can also try this on the bed to start with as it will be very comfortable to practice.
    Don't forget to add a warm-up and a few repetitions of Suryanamaskara before you start.

    Thank you for explaining the foot position! i was having a lot of pain on the top the foot doing Vajrasana before. Also, the tip on breathing through certain nostrils is very informative! 🙏🏾

    Hi Neha,
    Thanks alot for your videos.
    I used to practice vajraasana and I could sit in this posture quite comfortably. However after I started playing badminton which required me to do some thigh exercises for muscle building, now I am unable to fully sit on my ankle and gives a mild pain on the outside of my right knee.
    Can you suggest Any tips or advice to get back into doing the aasana the way it should?

    Mam, one small question regarding this asana. At a stretch for how many minutes I should maintain this posture? Right now I can sit for 3 minutes at one stretch.
    Another thing, I am suffering from lower back pain for 2 to 3 days. Will this asana give me relief from this back pain.

      For your 1st point at a stretch how long can you sit. It depends on what r you trying to achieve?? Usually 2-3 minutes of this posture with deep breath is more than enough each day. 2nd thing if you are suffering from back pain please try my back pain series which you can find in my playlist 😊🙏

    Madam dono foot ke toes ko only touch krke bhi varjasan kr sakte hai ya nhi . Aap ne bataya hai ki dono toe ko ek dusre par Rakh kar krna mandatory hai.

      Hi Aditya, Dono toes ko ek dusro ke oopar rakhne se aapki breath balance hoti hai by default. Isiliye toes ko ek dusre ke oopar rakhna chahiye.
      Agar nahi bhi rakhte ho to koi dikkat nahi hogi.... ap kaise bhi practice kar sakte ho😊🙏

      This could be bcz if several reasons, may be tight thighs or weak knee or any ankle pain. So please do lot lower body stretches everyday and and try sitting on the floor in any posture. Slowly you will see that you are getting better at it.

      Please train the new knee with a simple stretches and exercises which you can find in my channel also if you have a knee pain then don’t force yourself to sit in Vajrasana in the beginning it might worsen the situation😊🙏

    Just for the sake of learning i would like to point out that it would be better if you call it vajrasan and not vajrasana👍. Don't go with the spelling is vajrasana.

      Hi, just that you pointed it out, it can be called vajrasan and vajrasana both, specially when I am from south (Bangalore) this side of people would call it as Vajrasana and north people usually call it as Vajrasan. I would consider it as none of them are wrong and you can pronounce both the ways 😊

      @@YogaForCureVideos as a said it can be pronounced both the ways although I don't think it's correct from sanskrit point of view. Explaining HOW will be lengthy and would require me to write those things in devnagri script. But I won't be accept the reason that you pointed out that South people say it vajrasana and North vajrasan. Even the North people say Rama instead of Ram. Yoga instead of Yog. Many people does this mistakes not because they are from a certain region but because that's how they've read it in ENGLISH. In English "a" is used in the end, which most of the people think that it has to be pronounced as "aa" is in Rama, which is is actually a misconception. Anyways I just wanted you to know it, its upto you how you do it. And don't misunderstand anything, I appreciate your video and the knowledge you're sharing. Thank you for that.       @@shaantubes You are correct about the pronunciation not having the "aa" at the end. Technically, however, neither spelling is correct. To spell a Sanskrit word in English with the correct phonetics, one needs to transliterate, for which different schemes are available e.g. Harvard-Kyoto, IAST, etc. I follow IAST, which uses diacritical marks. Thus, I would write yoga, rāma (not the avatāra), and vajrāsana, but following IAST phonetics, I would pronounce as योग, राम, and वज्रासन, respectively.
