I've worked with old people. Breaks my heart to see them depend on 2-3 people to carry them in a wheelchair, to get 4-6 hours of dialysis 3x every week. If they can even walk by themselves, they break *several* bones just from slipping. It's too late for them to change anything. To anyone here, you don't need to be Roshi. Just stay moderately fit, please.
I'll definitely want to age like my powerhouse of a 80-year old grandfather. The guy still carries fridges around for extra cash.

My last memory of my grandfather before he moved away was him, aged 70 and pushing around a refrigerator with ease. He was in the Air Force in his youth and stayed healthy and strong into his old age. He taught me that healthy eating, regular exercise and proper, restful sleep is the key to a long, healthy life. The key to all that is self-discipline.

Chris Curry Well, yes and no. Should Gohan gotten as strong as Super Saiyan God? No. But his Ultimate Form is about unlocking all of his hidden potential for him to use with minimal training. Heck, he first achieved it by sitting for 24 hours. The creators did a very poor job explaining how his ultimate form works and it's upsetting that it's still pretty vague after all this time.

At my heaviest, I weighed 345. I've recently (within the past 4 months or so) given up soda and changed my eating habits and with no exercise and I've almost lost 100 pounds! Now that more and more people in my life have been noticing my weight change/ have been supporting me I've decided to actually start trying to lose weight with a goal of 200lbs before I move in 2 months. I just found your channel today your positivity and love of anime along with your passion for fitness is incredibly inspiring much love from one nerd to another!

The last part is so true, some people can be intimidated or feel insecure when they see someone that is more physically fit then they are. As for me I am happy to see someone more fit than I am, it is a reminder that I can't be complacent.

About 4 years ago I started exercising, 2 years straight I exercised, I never went the bodybuilder route, I simply wanted to be stronger because I was ashamed of not being able to do a single push-up, a year and a half at the gym and a semester playing football at my uni (I had to pick an extracurricular activity so why not something physical), and damn did I get strong. but for about a year and a half I stopped because I got depressed, I gained 20 kilos and lost all the muscle I had gained, just recently, this year I started exercising again but I'm very inconsitent, I exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week but I always pig out, at this point I do want to lose weight, and each week I try to motivate myself but I fall in the same hole.
The only positive I can say is that muscle memory still works after a year of nothing, I quickly was able to squat 60 kg and bench 40 kg, I still have to work on cardio since I can't last more than 8 minutes jogging when I used to be able to run a marathon (obviously I wouldn't finish first, I'm a slow runner, but finishing one is a damn accomplishment)

I started watching your channel about 3 months ago. You really inspired me to start busting my ass. I dunno, I always had the mindset of "nerds are bony or fat" as if there're no toned geeks. Which is assanine, obviously, but that body type is so normal in our community that you never really think about how easy it is to attain it. I've started seeing results in the past month too, I'm gettin arms, and I never thought I would. Imma start training my legs and stomach next, gunna add excercises for those to my routine. Keep doing what you're doing man.

Dude, a lot of variation between calisthenics, running, swimming, salsa dancing....and Tai Chi, chen style :) Hand forms, but also the weapon forms (cane form, fan form, staff form, single and doubles swords) work on flexibility, stamina, core, legs, and...relaxation and moderation!
37 years old and still improving since I was 27. From 19 years old until 27 I exhausted my body with break dancing. SInce 27, just keep on getting better, leaner, healthier, more flexbile.... Enjoy :)

Love your videos, recently gained over 20kg of fat for various reasons (mainly work leaving no time to do anything but sleep and resulting in living off of fast food) and whenever your videos pop up on my feed I get an urge to head down to the gym. And I act on that urge as now my circumstances have changed and I can afford the time and money to cook good food and attend a MMA gym that has fighters featured on Sky sports and other channels. :D
    Keep it up!
    Note:
To anyone reading this I am aware that money and work are no excuse for a poor life style but I personally was unable to find the time to fit in work and studying while also getting no less than 6 hours sleep to ensure I had the money to pay bills and energy to do the same the next day.

My question is, is that everyday for those days or all together at the end of the 5 days? this makes it seem as if its his daily thing for 5 days a week.... unbelievable at age 60.....

First I love you're channel man I've been watching for years now. Can you do a video on how to get back into working out when you've gone through a horrible depression and still going through it. A year and a half ago I fell in love with a girl who cheated on me and it just destroyed my confidence and all motivations to do anything. A year later I got back with an ex girlfriend (different person) so there were already strong feelings and after 9 months she cheated on me too and left for her new boyfriend because I lost my amateur body builder look and all confidence in myself. I ust to be a gym junkie and ran miles everyday like it was my religion. I went from 185lbs of a good amount of muscle, to 235lbs of fat, I've lost a huge amount of my muscle mass. At this point trying to get back into it seems so overwhelming. Im so depressed that everytime I try to get back into shape, my depression saps away all self motivation I manage to generate. Sorry for the long post, but if you've ever bee. Through something similar or had a friend who has and they manage to get they're body back. Maybe I can learn something from it, and not just me but other men and women in my situation as well. Thank you and again love your videos man.

Think of humans like shade plants and sun plants.
A full sun plant thats placed in the shade for too long will die from lack of sun and possibly drown in its own water.
A shade plant thats put in the sun for too long will burn and thus you need to drench it with water to keep it alive.
Just find the right environment or conditions for yourself. Just because you can eat a pig don't make it right for your body. One person eats a banana but makes the next have the runs.

While I've been training since I was 14 I eventually realized that the only way to really truly get stronger is to workout with an intensity someware between the one punchman workout routine to the baki the grappler workout routine and that if your trying to get the best possible body that you can get is to work hard one year and to always work twice as hard the next I am now 15 turning 16 twards the end of this upcoming month of May and I workout every single day of the week I don't have cheat day's or cheat meals only a cheat snack and that's for the month otherwise I'm training for 1-3 hours through out the whole day every day of the 7 day week because I believe that legends are made not born and that genetics only play the part of how fast you can develop all that matters is that you work as hard as you can and then keep going until your sore for the day rest for a bit and then get back to it the very next day no matter how sore you are it is crucial to improving strength because when you're body finally adapts like baki you could be stronger and you will look and feel better than you have ever felt before by activating your endorphins ind improving over all explosive power, running speed, endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength overall becoming your very own perfect body structure but what ever you don't go killing your self in the process because it can't happen on the first day you won't see results untill you've been sore and fallowed through with the pain

JaxBlade >= SSW/MUI Goku > Full Power Saitama > Kenichi >= Rock Lee >= Baki

I understand the rest of the scaling, but in what world can Kenichi and Baki hang with Rock Lee? They're both badasses, but neither of them are casually breaking off cliffsides any time soon.

jax your videos are extremely inspirating and motivational or just entertaining I look forward to your videos every week and I sometimes get more hyped up for your videos more than some of my favorite anime. my favorite videos are the tough like the toons and would that workout series. also like you I love characters that are just normal or well as normal as you can be in that series and become complete bad asses later in the series. also do you think that if I try to train my vo2 max I could sprint as long as say 2 or 3 miles if not more?

I want to end up like my grandpa. He used to do triathalons and marathons his whole life and now that he’s old he still goes on long bike rides 4 days a week with a pacemaker!

This old dude at my gym is like a legit Roshi. Dude is 60 years my senior (84 to my 24), and this old man can bench 215 for at least 3 reps. He's my rival whether he knows it or not lol

Can you do an analysis video of Comic Book Captain America, comparing what the super-soldier-serum gave him to what professional athletes achieved through training? I mean when he was just peak human in the comics, not superhuman like in the MCU.
I’d also liked to hear your opinion of former Navy SEAL David Goggins who managed to lose over 100 pounds in three months.
