Pioneer Radio Stuck On Black Caution Screen

Thank You for the video. I found out after this video that the permanent fix is to change the camera setting by changing camera polarity it to off (if you dont have a camera connected). but to get there. you need to hold the mute down 5 secs first. you can test if its permanent by turning off the key and then on and you shouldn't see the black screen. if its still there then just try a different camera polarity setting. if you still get the black screen then you have a different problem.

I have a pioneer 1700nex that's only stuck on the reverse camera screen. I dont have a backup screen so it just says no signal. Only volume button works and I can't leave the screen. Anything I can do?

@@IAmF4bian have tried pulling the fuse for the radio to reset it? Or just try holding down random buttons for 10 seconds and see if it responds. If you don’t have a backup camera then the rear camera power wire must have been hooked up to a power source to switch it over to that screen.

so mine is doing the same thing and it happens when the reverse camera was on and i switched it back to normal, do i have to switch it back to the reverse setting for this not too happen do u know?

Mine defaults to the black screen every time we start it, so I have to do this every time. Also once it’s to the normal screen it will not switch back to the reverse screen. I don’t know if the radio it’s self is going out or the cheap backup camera is causing it.
