Noel is such a massive part of the Ashville group yet we have no idea of what he looks like, nice to see not everyone wants to get there name in lights these days... Brilliant weekly as always.
One thing I've noticed about Daniel, not only does he want the best from his people, but he leads by example by going out and getting work done himself when he can. I mean not all boss's would go out in a truck and pick up bins...that's usually something for the workers. I like to see things like that from the people in charge.
I know what you mean although I often think Daniel does too much and should delegate a bit more to give himself some time off. I've lost count of the times he has said he has a flying lesson only to say later he had to cancel it. He works 7 days a week from very early until late and if it weren't for the Ashville gym he would be a proper tubby tits by now. As it is, he brings food to work rather than eating crap but he's going to have to be so careful seeing as he can't do any exercise using his arms. As I said, he will become Daniel Tubby Tits.
Drivers are short supply, plus one was fired for mounting the weighbridge. A certain grab lorry company lost a lot of drivers because they fitted trackers in the cabs and gave the drivers cell phones. I spoke with one driver who transferred off truck said the phone was going every 10 mins asking why they were standing. Traffic jams would send the drivers nuts. Most of the calls were just to make the controllers look busy.
It’s a brand new machine, who wouldn’t want to play with his new toy first. He could send anyone to pick them up but he wants to have some fun himself. He doesn’t create videos around other drives just himself. Get off the guys back!!
Daniel you either need to fit an internal door with a window in it inside the steel door on the security hut or a concave mirror on the opposite side of the road so security man can see any vehicles approaching the barrier if it's pissing down/windy/cold and he has the door closed, or a CCTV camera and monitor.
A little suggestion for the security hut - have someone like Tomto Smart install an ANPR system so the security personnel doesn't have to manually open the barrier for recognised number plates (like any of the Ashville trucks/staff cars number plates). Great video once again!
@@ShatteredDream I second this, if he doesn't have an apprentice or 2, he's gonna be very crippling to ashville when he retireds because of all his skills
The security office, would it not be an idea to have one of the windows facing the direction that traffic will be approaching the yard? And the door facing back into the yard. Might have to put another window in for that configuration.
What an inspiration you don't see managing directors rather owners going out in trucks when they got the chance . Keep up the good work Daniel and may all your wishes for the company come true . What all the videos in 4 days you had me glued in front of my laptop. Winston in Malta
thanks for the flash warnings had eye surgery 3 days ago and this way i could skip the flashy parts already husrts enough just using it haha! vids making it feel better tho its like magic ;)
The hook loader and hiab combo looks awesome. I drive a hook loader and just a note ! When dropping or lifting a bin or flat rack . When it's hits the deck or start to raise release the hand brake and let it pull the lorry under or away from the bin . Less damage to the bin and less stressful on the ram's.
Get a square of clear vinyl for the wagon paintwork where you stick that control box on. The magnets will pick up bits of metal/crud and scratch the paintwork over time.
Daniel your a right workaholic and deserve your times at the football etc. Noel seems a very important part of the workforce. Talking about football the team I support are nearly Ashville colours. Wolverhampton gold and black.
At 37:45 and 37:23 and 36:51 the new Volvos have been shown. And Daniel I thought u said we can only see in the main video Lol 😂. Anyway they do look absolutely brilliant though 👌👍
17:52 The perfect solution for Handle is to weld an other handle in center or on the upside instead of bottom So no need to make it difficult. Or make this door automated
I love Sundays. Ashville time. You might want to get yanni to slap some PPF on the door of your new Scania so the magnet doesn't damage the paintwork 👍
Damn that Scania was really a good purchase especially after seeing it function now, I hope it helps you a lot in the future, amazing piece of equipment Daniel
Thanks for the motivation Dan. and the name of the thing you got from the army is a PLATFORM CONTAINER, it is another type of container used to secure out of gauge equipment that does not fit in standard 20ft and 40ft containers. Much love from Zimbabwe
For the army flatbed there is no need to weld wheels on, just put the truck in neutral and take the handbrake off as soon as the rear of the flatbed touches the ground and you'll simply roll forward👍🏻 this does require more space infront to unload though obviously
Recently stumbled across your content and since I’ve worked in the construction field, enjoy the subject matter and concept surrounding your channel. Additionally, the light banter and positive attitudes is a plus.
Hi Daniel, with the Ex Army flat rack you don't need to weld wheels onto the back, all you have to do is when you unload it release the handbrake on the truck and the flat rack will push the truck forward. i used them flaf racks for years in the army it will work a treat and save you tine trust me lol. all the best James.
The video editing game is top notch! I love how in the montages they put the sounds from the video in time with the music. Consistent greatness! Well done Dan and team!
Your one cool dude Daniel. I bet it's fantastic working for you as you give respect to your work team and are not frightened of getting stuck in yourself bro 😀 Love that you use the train as I'm a train enthusiast 👍🏻 Hope the operation goes to plan 🤔 Take care cheers Stevie 😎
Try to avoid daisy chaining switches from your main distribution switch where you can because it introduces more points of failure. If you can run a direct Cat6a SFTP cable to your new office directly into the main switch where your ISP comes in. Keep up the great content!
27:34 before you completely redesign your network, get someone to check the light levels on your fibre. That will tell you whether there's an issue with transmission. Ethernet (copper) should be good for 100m but if your Internet keeps dropping out its worth getting a proper network tester and check the cable and make sure it's not just a bad run. As others have said if you're running your cat in the same conduit as power that could create some interference. If you're using media converters for your fibre it's worth whacking them into SFPs to rule them out as a cause of your problem.
Those Cisco switches (or switchers as they seem to be called....) are managed, you should be able to check the stats on the ports via the management on them.
Hi Daniel another good video mate , one thing though the security barrier is the first thing visitors will see so make sure it's a good one up to your standards as you say first impressions mean a lot , keep up the good videos .take care from Scotland .
Why dont you just weld a handle on the top of the security hut window cover so you can slide it up and you don’t have to reach down and when its high enough you can grab the bottom handle for extra support? And the same when you are putting it down so you don’t have to bend down and damage your back?
i love the team ,the terry and daniel... you make a great combination. Watching from Zambia. You have been a great motivation to me watched all from weekly episode 1.
Pretty sure you can buy 20ft ISO containers with hook loader attachment points. Would it be an idea to buy one or two of them, fit them out with shelves for on-site tool stores, maybe even fit one out as a site office that is all ready to go, just needing power and maybe even water connection.
For the security hut, attach some wires to the shutter and run them on rollers to the inside fastened to a bar that can be hooked inside. We had them for our offices and no need to reach down!! 👍
No matter what outfit you pull out your pulling it off.. You and tezza really need to do more things together the vibe you both have is brilliant makes my Sundays. #yourbrilliant.

I was thinking the same.
or put a window into the door, or get a glass door, then a steel shutter,
Exactly my thoughts two or was it three.
Don't like the split window either.
A cctv camera would work.
