After several friendly visits to other post offices in the area I found this gem. These employees even argued with the cops and refused to read their own sign. This brings up a more serious problem topic. A number of people in my neighborhood have lost mail and packages. And recently the local post office had to fire one of their own for stealing mail and packages, and even refund checks. So.....how can we trust the Postmasters?
My older brother worked for the PO for over 30 years and he told me he would never want to be nothing more than a mail carrier because he would have to lower his IQ to get a management position.
Companies with labor unions, often do too.
I just retired from the post office and that seems to be the common theme and I was a ssa clerk I couldn’t do it anymore

There are times I will get into a book or subject to research for my writing and I will read for hours on end. My kids would say...Where's Mom and my husband would say " We are on our own for food and clean clothes...Mom's on a reading frenzy ". Maybe if these clowns at the post office had gone on a mini reading frenzy, they wouldn't have made such jackasses out of themselves...or maybe not. Some people are just determined to stay as ignorant as possible by their own choice. I would love to be a fly on the wall if you decide to FOIA the phone contents. Thank you so much for saying that. I don't try and provoke people either. I get my quick shots of the building and go to find the poster 7 and then go to buy a stamp. As a former federal employee i agreed. If you're doing your job correctly no worries. I've worked in military bases that often allow civilians and reporters to record my workspace during events. As much as I dislike being on camera...I put a smile on my face and paint a good image for the organization....

One fly in the postmaster's ointment is the picture he took of a member of the public while working at a post office. It opens up that guy's phone to be revealed. I hope he hasn't done anything embarrassing or illegal with that phone...

Of the many thousands of audits I've seen, these cops were some of the best!!! Kudos to them!!!

If you file a formal complaint on a postal employee its taken very seriously and investigated. Those two guys should be fired for pulling the race card.

For Flat out REFSUING to read the rules that are POSTED on their OWN wall ,even AFTER the police arrive an TRY to point out ''poster 7'' is right there with explicit guidelines governing conduct on postal property and that in those rules it CLEARLY stated he was allowed to be there filming yet they CONTINUE to REFUSE to even LOOK at or read it and CONTINUE being EXTREMLY rude & unprofessional even towards the POLICE is EGRIGOIUS behavior and enough to be fired for in an of itself !

As a CUSTOMER filing a formal complaint can be serious. If an employee files a formal complaint against a manager...nobody cares. Many of the Managers and Postmasters have dozens of formal complaints against them.

1. Outside of this guy videotaping. No one else would ever follow up on these guys. Customers will complain, and occasionally write a review on YELP. The average person doesn't even know how to lodge a formal complaint, with the POSTAL INSPECTOR.
The shorter, bald guy, who identified himself as the POST MASTER for this location; know that he essentially has a "Job for Life", no matter how substandard the service is.
2. The highest repercussion that he expects, is either a "Reprimand" or a Transfer to another Post Office, until the Internet heat subsides.

You should definitely fill the survey out and then also file a complaint of harassment by the postmaster. Postal employees are prohibited from taking pictures on their personal devices while working. I know because I’ve been a mail carrier for 15 years. These two supervisors deserve to be reprimanded. Sickening.
If you’ve been a postal employee for fifteen years you’d know exactly what poster seven actually states and the paragraph that clearly states filming can be done with prior approval from the postmaster or did you miss that part as well like these ignorant frauditors?

God... I know the feeling. Carried for three post offices (substitute) for two years before getting out. I met ONE decent supervisor out of all levels of staff.

In the past three years in Baton Rouge Louisiana we've had over seven mail carriers arrested for throwing away the mail they were supposed to deliver

The problem here and with all Government entities is that they are claiming the property for themselves because they work there when it is paid for by tax payers. I use the word "work" very loosely. I heard in another video said by a boss at a USP office that the employees are not allowed to take video.

I've been working in the public eye for 18 years, and I've never had any issue with people recording me. If you're not doing anything wrong, then who gives a damn if you're being recorded. Smile, be friendly, and go about your day. The world's stressful enough, no need to add to it.

It's a post office. You can't have cameras there the same reason you can't tamper with mailboxes. It's an invasion of privacy. Recording people's personal information such as mail and mailing addresses for your own personal use? I'm surprised you haven't been sued yet much less your ass beaten.

I have a postal delivery driver who has been trying to destory my mail box (knock it down) ever since he took over a year and a half ago ....it's complint ...but because I filled a complaint against him , he's been a hit n miss carryer with the mail and my box has been vandalized several times in the past 9 months... This is a great video of how to do an audit. My biggest question is why are they so scared of a camera, what illegal activity would they be committing?

The post offices has camera's all throughout the workplace and some of the older ones have a cat walk from high and 2 way mirrors.
The one in my home town was the old blacksmith shop before they built the post office.

Eric, any union employes would be in uniform. These are obviously managers who are using intimidation and bullying tactics, making up rules and stories (racist card) as they go to make the other person look less credible. There is no diginity or respect at these places anymore. The union fights against the same people in this video everyday to defend rights at work in the exact same manner the video author is, against the same lies and made up stories.
