I LOL'D SO HARD when he said "OOPS!" Adorable!
Me too lol
Ooo...those dango look perfectly chewy - perfect wintery dish. :)
OH emmymadeinjapan I don't know who is more entertaining You or Francis & chef :)
It'll be fun to stretch the dango! (^^) Chef visited Oita Prefecture, Kyushu last year and her friend taught her this local dish, Dango-jiru. Alternatively, sliced pork is used instead of chicken or the broth is seasoned with soy sauce instead of miso. Konnyaku or konjac is also a popular ingredient in this recipe. You can add yuzukosho, yuzu citrus chili paste or shichimi, mixed chili powder to taste!
I want to have that.. But i can't find japanese items 😖
Wow This looks so good, I would love to meet them and cook with them Awesome dish!!!
Looks very tasty! ;)
Oosee Oosee if you cant you could try doing it with cabbage, potato, chicken, and use soy sauce and use fish sauce its not the same flavor but i think its one way to try it
This looks really good, is there anything I can substitute the sardines and mushrooms for? I never really liked mushrooms or sardines. lol :)
OMG OMG OMG. This used to be my grandmother's signature dish. Unfortunately she past away 1 year before I was born. But my mun and aunties kept the tradition and used to make it all the time during winter. But I had forgotten about it, cause I moved to Australia 10 years ago from Brazil. But all my grandparents are Japanese. Yummy! Thank you for sharing!
I'm convinced Chefs cooking is the secret to eternal youth. She looks younger with every video.
in Turkey we also say "like your earlobe" to describe the ideal softness of a dough...never knew that it was the same in Japan..i'm really surprised :D
Ok but the way she stretches the dango looks like magic!
Domo arigatou, sugoku oishiso. Soro soro tsukuritai desu. Jane Kubota USA, i am from London and Nairobi Kenya and i used to live in Japan since 1988 until 1996 and i love Japanese food so much. I don't actually do these recipes, I just like watching you cook.
Chef is looking absolutely wonderful these days! And I like her new hair style a lot.
It's always fun to see chef's personality shine forth! Luv your vids!
The dango noodle technique is really interesting. Might try this in just basic chicken stock and see how it works. Thanks Chef and Francis!
This sounds so wonderful on a cold winter's day!

Looks delicious, will try it out, thank you very much!
Here in the Southern US they make similar noodles. They are rolled and cut the same width as yours. They are cooked in thickened chicken soup and are called dumplings.
Yes~ Love a good bowl of Chicken n' Dumplings on a cold winter day.
*****
Its cold. Its winter. Oh! Its about lunch time too. where is my rolling pin?
Tastes the best when you use chicken thighs.
Yes! The soup base is so important to the tastiness of the dish! I love the addition of other vegetables to this recipe!
I was just thinking that this recipe reminded me of chicken and dumplings :)
Actually, Dango = "dumpling" in Japanese. lol

(*^^*) ONGENDO
God, Delicious.
Wow
This looks so tasty. It's a shame my boyfriend doesn't like soupy stuff. So stuff like this and Nabe are off his list. I should make it for myself sometime!
Yummy! In my country we go similar dango soup we name it "pan mee" is kind of noodle and serve with vegetable we like!
Looks delicious!! Reminds me of a healthier chicken and dumplings.
This looks like so much fun to make, my husband has a cold all week long, so this will be perfect for good nutrition. :-)
Hahahaha we say the "OOPS" at the same time xD by the way I like this recipe so much ! ❤️❤️❤️
I like it that you compare it to an earlobe, haha. It's good.
It looks sooo yummi!! *Q*
I loved the little tidbit about the earlobe. I think it's a good comparison but maybe I am weird!
好想吃😊
Woah! So delicious! I love the way she cooks and the man explaining! That UPSSS! (^^)
CHEF IS SO CUTE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
楽園ですね!!:D
Mmmm
Vegetable: Goodbye! *thunks*
Francis: Oops!
Excuse me as I just die laughing. For some reason that was way more funny than it was supposed to be.
im incredibly sick and THAT would be perfect for my cold :D
Thank you/
It's one of the best recipes on cold days!❄️😋🍲
This looks so light and healthy, without any oil, similar like some Chinese noodle. Meanwhile, am I the only person worries that dog might step into the soup? :)
For the dango, I tried rice flour, it turned out good too if anyone wants a more chewier texture. :3
I like when you show the process of cutting all the ingridients you need. Not when you show a few and at the end you have another batch of veggies that you prepared already.
