Im so glad to hear you point out his creativity. Sadly this isn't apparent to those who doesn't play an instrument. But also beyond the instrument, the creativity of his format. His persona etc. Incredible.
His creativity is always a delight. He just comes up with new ways to get just the sound he is looking for, from using weights & cowbells on his snare to change the tone/muffle of that snare as well as providing additional sounds positioned in a way that is most efficient for his playing, to even using a drum key as a striking surface because that gives him just the right sound (and then casually tossing it away when he is done without ever missing a beat)
Your reaction videos of El Estepario are the most authentic on RUclips (and I've seen a lot). Very refreshing to have someone react to him who can fully ingest what he's doing instead of just his speed or chops.
Bob, you're so on point with your analyse of what Jorge is doing. I can see very well that you are a music teacher. You see everything he's doing and emphase his unique talent. Thank you.
Spot on Bob!! Just when you think you've heard/seen it all, George just ups it another notch or two or three!!! UNREAL precision, composition and artistic flare. GOAT!! And I appreciate you playing the Eminem's entire, unedited track.
It would be nice you could watch the video he made like a week ago, a Rammstein cover where he uses 4 pedals again, and compare it with the video you already saw and reacted (Get ready for this). His improvement in just one month is mindblowing, now he plays pedals as playing bongos with his hands, so fluent and confident.
I love your breakdowns. So thoughtful with every comment you have and it makes a music drum dummy like myself get it more too. I like the point about how he doesn't (I'm totally paraphrasing) overplay it for the sake of overplaying it but that there is a reason for everything. It's right where it's supposed to be and where he puts it in his arrangement
Wow, watch from 4:05 to 4:25 to show what real limb independence looks like. His left hand is playing a complicated pattern and so is his left foot on that snare/pedal playing a different pattern too. That much skill and work ethic to get this good is so beyond impressive. EES, you sir are a BEAST!

Excellent commentary! You should watch his one-hand compilation, volume one video. Really shows his creativity. A favorite of mine is his cover of A-Ha’s “Take on Me”
I said this before but I feel like he is becoming like the EVH of drums. Eddie was a human metronome and his creativity was unparalleled. And, he was constantly modifying his instrument.

He has so many others that are good as well I've seen you react to some of the more impressive vids he has that likely push him harder than most songs, but there are some other that are great as well you can tell he had fun with them. His Hot For Teacher cover is also pretty fun to watch with the way he takes on the opening of that song =D

He's the best to ever do it. He's the Tom Brady of drumming, or the Michael Jordan of drumming. Nobody has done it better than him. It's not even close.
I certainly find that he has fun and also does some novel drumming. I am surprised he gets so many views as he is only doing drum covers, although in a somewhat elaborate manner. I just have to figure there are a lot of people that like watching him (at over 3 million subscribers I guess so, lol). I do like how he drums to a particular song and uses different sounds/techniques, although in a band situation I'm not sure how well that would work. There are other cover drummers like A-Yeon (who plays well but I have to think the main draw is her appearance as her drumming ability alone isn't worth 2.3 million subscribers), and of course I prefer guitars over drums, but no denying his innovative and creative approach!
