    Hello Bob, his name is Jorge (George). He is from Valencia (Spain). He's very calm, humble and modest... and funny. His covers are more 'versions' than covers since he adds hits or changes the 'tempos' a bit. He is making these videos after a major depression he suffered when a manager harassed him in a band because of the good relationship he had with the manager's wife. He loves sharing his tricks and teaching people. He works without fear of innovating about everything. He never says no to nothing until he tries. Thanks

    • @bobcieslinski
      @bobcieslinski  11 месяцев назад +8

      Thanks Javier for the background on Jorge. He’s a beast and he is killing it. Any band would be happy to have him but I think what he is doing now is really special. He is inspiring people all over the world showing them what hard work can do for you. What a great lesson.

    Welcome to Jorge's wonderful world :) What sets him apart from other drummers, imo is his musicality and orchestration. There are other drummers out there who are as technically proficient as he is, and who could play the same cover if shown and had time to practise, but no one else out there I am aware of, would have come up with this cover.
    Some people complain that he overplays, which utterly misses the point of what he's doing. He's showing you what a master can do with his particular instrument, and what can be achieved. If keeping 4 to the floor beats is a drummer's basic meat and potatoes meal, this guy is like eating at a 3 Michelin Star restaurant, to show you what a great chef can achieve.
    His precision, consistency of sound, hand and foot speed, for me right up amongst the best on the planet.

    • @bobcieslinski
      @bobcieslinski  11 месяцев назад +10

      You completely get it. From what I saw here there was no showing off. Just a dude with amazing talent showing what can be done with hard work and dedication. His facility, speed, precision, chops and limb independence are top tier while always keeping a rock solid backbeat but more impressive for me is the musicianship he displays, his orchestration and the sound that he pulls from his creative kit setups are immaculate and super tasty.
