This video brings so many memories. It was one of the first videos I ever watched on RUclips as a small child. I remember when this was the first video that came up when you search Up "splash mountain." I also remember the guy in front of you putting his hood when you went up the hill.
This ride is just awesome. I love the music, the south west looking scenery, all the animals, the story, and the drop at the end. This and Space Mountain are my favorite rides.
I'm sorry, I'm having fun with the people in front of the person doing the video putting on their hoods!!! LOL! The point of SPLASH Mountain is the SPLASH part!!!!!!!! XD
tigger31086 agreed. The hooded people are hysterical. I always remember saying "he put his hood up!" When I would watch this as a small child. Oh good memories.
Im 17 now and use to go to disney all the time when i was little. I loved the place and still do. Now i have a little niece who LOVES all the disney characters. She is beyond obsessed with mickey. We brought her there last year and she was pointing out every set of mickey ears she saw. Hopefully we go back sometime soon.
Was in Disney a couple weeks ago and remembered this video. This was legitimately the first video I ever saw on RUclips in 2007. I was 11 years old in fifth grade. I’m 24 years old and have a college degree now😂
I've always been a Disney guru... I live in Illinois and I've been there at least 15 times and I'm 13! I haven't been there for 2 years though. Whenever I think Disney, I have a soft and "happy place" in my heart.
i was soooo lucky to go here 5x through my teenage years. 25 now and need to get me and my own daughter there now! florida is just so far away from uk and soo magical
I will be going ti Disney world for my first time ever on July 4th and I will be staying there fir 5days... All I do is watch videos of Disney world everyday thinking about it... I just can't wait to finally go!!!!!
Its so awesome how much work the Disney imagineers put into this amazing ride. Im going in july. And Im so ready to immerse myself into the magic of disney.
when i was a little kid i was always so scared for that big hill...:D i felt like such a hero at the end, hahah. god i love disney world good times there.
I was there on spring break. I miss it so much. I went with my school and it was my first time... I loved it so much my parents are taking us back next spring break! :D
I wish people wouldn't be foul mouthed! This is a great video! I love it when someone gets a great video like this & shares it! Thanks for taking the time to spread some happiness!
They should totally sing that song "Oh, Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder...". I LOVE that song! :3 Used to sing it all the time as a kid, even though I've never seen "Song Of The South".
One of the best rides in all of WDW ! I'll never forget Xmas Eve of '07... The ride was a "walk on" and we rode it 3 times in a row with no waiting.... Good times !
whenever i go to disney world here at florida i goes on this ride like a million times! i wish i could go here again :( i sit at the front once! it was awsome!!!! :D
This is truly the best ride in the whole of Florida. Im going again in april... don't think I can wait that long. Seriously it's so amazing and magical, if you havent been, you realy should go or even if you have been, you'll probably want to go again =)
Wow Norway, that is far. The Norway pavilion at Epcot is one of my favorites, beautiful people and country. I will pray that your dream will come true.
Just saw "Song of the South" for the first time. A lot of this ride makes more sense, but I didn't realize that not every animatronic/animal is actually from the movie. It's kind of nice to know what's supposed to be from the movie and what's not, the ride makes a lot more sense now. Before I saw it, I tried to peace it all together because it didn't seem like it fit in as well. They also changed around some of the scenes, but at least every scene was included.
To anyone going in the summer, just wake up early to be at Magic Kingdom when it opens. I've gone in June and I've gone in July, lines are almost nonexistent when the park first opens. After the first hour or so, that's when it gets crowded. You can even go on after the fireworks, the line is short after the fireworks due to the fact most people just leave Magic Kingdom when the fireworks are over.
I've been on the Disneyland version of this and after hitting up Jurassic Park over in Universal Orlando a few years ago it was a cakewalk to drop such a "short" distance. If I ever go back to Florida I'm definitely going on this Splash as well.
this is the best water-drop ride i have ever been on, pretty much every theme park ride i've been to has one, but none of them approach how great this one is... but then again, maybe it's just nostalgia... :P
Im going to disney world over the summer maybe in june and im soooo excited...... disney is awesome it brings out the kid in me and by the time i go i will be 17 years old yeah thats right 17
I went on this ride on spring break i was scared at first after it was done it was awsome but this ride is nerve recking with all the small droppes and story to make you forget about the 5 story drop. lol IT WAS FREAKIN AWSOME :D
i went to cedar point not too long ago and the rides are definately better and thrilling and more exciting but the rides at wdw and wdl are always themed and thats what makes them so much more fun
I remember jumping into my seat, laughing as I got soaked, singing along to the songs, then hearing, "NOT THE BRIAR PATCH BRER RABBIT!!! LEMME GO!!!" and thinking, "oh god." then screaming at the top of my lungs, catching my breath, belting out "zippidee doo da", and getting off.*sigh* how i miss disney.
i love thtat ride i was just there in disney most wonderfull time of my life i cried when i got there in disney i was so happy my first time therer i cant wait to go again lol
splash mountian was awsome. i remember a giant 30 foot drop but i didnt see it here.... i remember when i was little we got stuck with the crows talking and i started crying cuz i got scared but when the ride started up i stoped and was all like '' *phew* no more of that lets get on with the drop!!!''
I'll be there im 7 days!!! :) I used to go every year with my mom then she pasted away. We still go every year because going there reminds me of the good times with my mom.
this is the reason why i miss being a kid!! I am so spoiling my kids when I have some!! Just like my parents did!! Ive been to WDW 8 times!! and i live in canada!
Love this ride, at the end, you have to line up in your logs to the side of the water, so when the next log comes down into the water, you get drenched! all the tourists try and push their logs forward to stop themselves getting into the splash zone!
There are a few hidden Mickey's on Splash Mountain. One is a paint splotch on the water tower right after your first ascent. I believe it's the Muskrat Moonshine tank. Another is after the final plunge, one of the clouds looks like Mickey, lying on his back looking at the clouds. Good hunting.
OMG I went on this when i was in kindergarten.. I had no idea the waterfall was part of the ride. I was SO scared hahaha we bought the pictures it takes when you're going down and I'm like D:>!!!! crying! good times...
By all that is fun and cool WDW is the most crowded place then six flags! so much to do and so much to have hell i started coming here when i was 3 and now im 14 and it never gets old long live disney!
I've only been on the WDW Splash Mountain once. I've been on the Disneyland one countless times, though. I really don't know which one I like better. D: They're both so awesome.
I think he would LOVE it! People who haven't been think it's just for kids. But it really is alot of fun for the whole family. It brings out the child in you :) I hope they agree to go! They won't regret it! :)
Finally found this video again! I found it once before after a long time, but lost it, and now i’ve found it again! it’s the original splash mountain POV! I even commented back then, 3 years ago, under Jldgoods!
I find this video useful and fun. If you are/were nervous on this ride with a 50 foot drop, this is the video you should watch. It's fun because if you are looking forward to staying dry but wanna ride Splash Mountain, you should do this! It has the real life increadible quality and is a total classic Disney attraction! I can't wait to ride the real version on June 6th! Anyone else going during that week? :)
RIP this iconic and flawless masterpiece
This video brings so many memories. It was one of the first videos I ever watched on RUclips as a small child. I remember when this was the first video that came up when you search Up "splash mountain."

This ride is just awesome. I love the music, the south west looking scenery, all the animals, the story, and the drop at the end. This and Space Mountain are my favorite rides.
The moment right before the drop when the music stops is so amazing
I'm sorry, I'm having fun with the people in front of the person doing the video putting on their hoods!!! LOL! The point of SPLASH Mountain is the SPLASH part!!!!!!!! XD
tigger31086 agreed. The hooded people are hysterical. I always remember saying "he put his hood up!" When I would watch this as a small child. Oh good memories.

I love the dark drop inside splash mountain that always gets me everytime I ride it!
I went to Disney World about 2 years ago. This was one of my favorite rides at Magic Kingdom. I liked the drop.
Excellent video editing, great quality, wonderfull ride with an actual story behind it so that just makes it better
I was there on spring break. I miss it so much. I went with my school and it was my first time... I loved it so much my parents are taking us back next spring break! :D

Is it just me or is just hearing the music enough to make you happy? :)
I love the part of the ride at the big drop when it feels like time is frozen for a few secounds. :)
