I was almost in tears when I finished this ride; I was both sad and happy. I was happy because this ride shows how people should really live in the world. I was extremely sad because people don't live this way in the world. My number one favourite ride here!!
well done. I have not been on this ride since the first time I was there in 77-78. I have been to wdw twice this past year, once an early birthday/anniversarry and didn't go on it. I'll have to next time. It is still amazing what they did for this ride back in the 60's. Your'e never too old. thanks for the video!
I love this ride so much. i could ride it over and over again. in fact one time me and mum came off it and went straight back on because there was no queue and my dad and brother hadn't come back to meet us yet.
I loved this ride but oh my gosh O.O It was one of the first rides I went on that day and the song was stuck in my head for the rest of the day...I often found myself humming it randomly...but I still love it, the dolls are adorable ^-^
It has been 9 years since I've been to disney world. I remember this ride very well. I beleive they have updated it since I've been there. It's fun to relive the memories!
I'm sorry, but that clock at 1:121:14 cracked me up as a 10y.o. and still does today! Thank you so much for recording this ride! Brings back precious memories.
This vdo was simply awesome...we had been to disney last mth end and did take a vdo of -its a small world, but not as good as yours. it was simply fantabulous!!!!
You are forgiven, I love Disney, all my childhood memories are there, my family and I stayed at FT wilderness back then it was only 15.00 a night, I wish they were not so money hungry.
The only part of this ride I remember from when I was 5 is the last room.. I'm actually excited to go back on it, despite the fact that just watching this has that damn song stuck in myhead
WOW! omg I wish so too, we stay at the moderate hotels but my dad just changed jobs and it pays more so hopefuly we can stay at like Beach Club or something, I love it there, we used to live in Tampa so I grew up with it kinda
@cadge31 i felt that way when i was standing in line for like 10 minutes. i dont mind listening to it when its in different languages but after a while it gets old
@cadge31 i was stuck on that ride too. the boat would keep stoping every couple minutes, and let me tell you after a while that song gets very annoying. lol
I wonder if this was actually filmed in 2006. The ride is just as I remember it from back in 1989. Heck, even the family filming this sounded like mine. Awesome.
My mom has always said she wants to work in Disney World someday, and my brother and I tell her she should work in this ride. Not as a ride operator, but as one of the dolls! (To give you an idea of what she looks like, she's 5"2, has a round face, and saucer-like hazel eyes- in other words, she resembles one of the dolls.)
@darwinsdinosaur - They redid how the queue works. One now enters down what used to be the exit ramp and the old entrance is now the exit. Nothing different inside (no cutesy characters like they did in DisneyLand)
Oh cool! It was the last ride we rode this past Saturday when the park closed at midnight we heard the bell from the castle as we were heading out of the dark at the end of the ride!
Oh my god! I loved this ride! I haven't been on this ide or to disney world since I was 5. Now I'm 13, but I'm going back there next year in april, and this is the First ride I am going on! I do not find this song o ride annoying beleive it or not :).
I love seeing them dance and what their culture looked like. What I really dont like is that you hear "Its a small world after all" 100 times in 100 different languages.
Newlyweds should be made to watch this video to ensure they really want to have kids, for there is no darker day than being stuck on this ride as an adult. I had four separate headaches during the course of this ride. The first spiked as I saw the line I would have to endure just for the privilege of further torture. The second hit me with the song's first notes, the musical equivalent of cotton candy. The third headache came fast as the boat's stench struck me. The last headache lingers still.
5:30 For Disney Brazilians loves to wear fruit hats, but that's ok, this is one of the most meaningful rides... I just love it. Well, not the fruit hats... LOL
I was on this ride last Friday..Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera handy....A very phsycodelic experience...I really enjoy the original vision of Walt Disney...Wish I could say the same for the Disney Corporation....
aahhaa yesss i remember going on this when i was 7 me and my sister were so into having learned the song in girl scounts but it took the rest of the family a lot of convincing to go on all i remember was the very ending my mother and older siblings started clapping cause it was finalyl over
the first (and only time) I went on this ride, the ride broke down. Having the hear the same song over and over drove me nuts. I swear I was going to jump out and go on a doll destroying spree.
AAAAAH! I can't take it anymore! AAAAAAAAH! Make it stop! Make it stop! AAAAAAAAAAH! This nightmare ends now! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim!
if this world is a small world after all, then none of us would survive in a big world, like Jupiter, for example. that is my scientific opinion of the 'It's a Small World After All' ride at any Disney resort. my heart's opinion of this ride is that it has to be the purest and most innocent ride the world over. this is one of my mom's favorite rides at any Disney theme park. it was even a true cornerstone at the dawning of the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and was also the symbol of Disney at the New York World's Fair back in 1964... you know, back when Walt Disney was still alive. I actually live in California, but nowhere near Anaheim. I live in the north of California, in the county of the capitol. I live in a town in the Sacramento area by the name of Citrus Heights.
There are black people / children represented in this ride. At around 3:56, or 3:57, they're supposed to be Jamaican or Carribean. Now everything else, you may have a point, ebcause all the dolls look alike...the boys and the girls. And the only dolls I saw for Hawaii are the little hula skirt dolls, but I've only been on the ride once and can't remember and I didn't catch it from the video...oh well. But you do raise valid points though.
That's not a English knight and a Mexican. They are both Spaniards from the famous novel Don Quixote. The knight is Don Quixote: a senile old man who decides to become a "knight" in the days well after knights have ceased to exist. The man behind him is Sancho Panza, Quixote's friend who agrees to be Quixote's "squire" and go on "adventures" with him. That particular scene on the ride is when Don Quixote tries to attack some windmills because he thinks they are giants.
Anyone know if there are coins at the bottom of the water? I went on this ride when I was hardly old enough to remember things, but I remember there were coins in the water, but when I tried to get them, my mom told me not to, and that the water was dirty. lol
I thinks it's exremley annoying, but I love it anyway. Kind of like my dog or my little cousin. Yes, they repeat the song OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, but it's got beatutiful scenery and it's got a good...moral I guess? Message? I don't really know, but I like it.
omg, my friend told me about this ride with the freaky disturning puppets singing its a small world.... oh dear, i didnt think anything could be this disturbing, i have no idea why it is there because it would give most people nightmares im sure
I was almost in tears when I finished this ride; I was both sad and happy. I was happy because this ride shows how people should really live in the world. I was extremely sad because people don't live this way in the world. My number one favourite ride here!!
took me ages to get that music out of my head now you put it back aaaarrrrgggghhhh
thanks for the memories
My grandma loved this ride and this song when ever i go there i ride it to remember her
I still remember going on this in 1993. I was 3 years old. It's the only thing I can remember
One of my favorite calm rides, I've been there many times....I miss it so much. Cant wait until I go back again next year :)
I loved this ride but oh my gosh O.O It was one of the first rides I went on that day and the song was stuck in my head for the rest of the day...I often found myself humming it randomly...but I still love it, the dolls are adorable ^-^
I went on this ride ten years ago. I must have been five years old. Good grief the nostalgia!
It has been 9 years since I've been to disney world. I remember this ride very well. I beleive they have updated it since I've been there. It's fun to relive the memories!
Wonderful place for young and old! I've been on the ride several times, the most recent April this year - I'm 73.
I'm sorry, but that clock at 1:12 1:14 cracked me up as a 10y.o. and still does today! Thank you so much for recording this ride! Brings back precious memories.
This vdo was simply awesome...we had been to disney last mth end and did take a vdo of -its a small world, but not as good as yours.
it was simply fantabulous!!!!
in my head is more than 25 years now...it's beautiful toone!

This ride is awesome. and so is the song! i was just singing it!
one of the best rides in disney-no not for thrill factor obv but it captures the magic of disney!
I love this ride! Its one of the first things I ride when I get there!
dulak is a perfect place!
the stereotypes on this ride are fantastic!
It feels like an acid trip for a few minutes in those boats!
I went to the magic kingdom three times with the band. Never did this ride. And Im glad. Have done it with the family tho
dam so many memories from this ride when i was smaller..
Thanks for the good cam job, best so far.
WOW! omg I wish so too, we stay at the moderate hotels but my dad just changed jobs and it pays more so hopefuly we can stay at like Beach Club or something, I love it there, we used to live in Tampa so I grew up with it kinda
Wow...I've never been on the Disney WORLD version. It's weird because it's the same and different all at once. Thanks for posting :)
Disney World is the best place ever
@cadge31 i felt that way when i was standing in line for like 10 minutes. i dont mind listening to it when its in different languages but after a while it gets old
Imagine getting stuck in this ride for an hour or two and having that song play continuously.
@cadge31 i was stuck on that ride too. the boat would keep stoping every couple minutes, and let me tell you after a while that song gets very annoying. lol
I LOVE THIS RIDE!!!!!
when i was little i would run to my dad and say "daddy wook! im a huwa girl!!!" haha :P I LOVE THIS RIDE.
@SuperMegnog
It's undergone 2 refurbs recently in Disney World...2004-2005 and for about a month and a half in fall 2010.
Did you know that song was orginal a slow deprssioning song?I heard about it on the discovery channel
My uncle got stuck on this ride for 1.5 hours once, and now he can't hear this song w/o going nuts!!
@darwinsdinosaur - They redid how the queue works. One now enters down what used to be the exit ramp and the old entrance is now the exit. Nothing different inside (no cutesy characters like they did in DisneyLand)
Is this really a 10 minute ride? God, it feels like 869567x longer
Oh cool! It was the last ride we rode this past Saturday when the park closed at midnight we heard the bell from the castle as we were heading out of the dark at the end of the ride!
i love this ride sooooooooooooooooo much
I just watched it's a small world video for Disneyland and it's much better. I still love Magic Kingdom...they just need to update it.
Oh my god! I loved this ride! I haven't been on this ide or to disney world since I was 5. Now I'm 13, but I'm going back there next year in april, and this is the First ride I am going on! I do not find this song o ride annoying beleive it or not :).
@gopconservative78 I am on the floor loughing!!!!! This ride is a real torture!! LOL
3:23 that lion kite scared me a lot when i was a kid
That is the creepiest ride ever. I went on it when I was about 5 and it made me mentally scarred for life :(
I love seeing them dance and what their culture looked like. What I really dont like is that you hear "Its a small world after all" 100 times in 100 different languages.
This was the scariest ride I've ever been on.
i am soooooooooooooooooooooooo exctied to go on this when i go down there!!!!!! ahhhhh :)
The 2008 Disney Guide writer describes this ride perfectly: Only a backhoe can dig this song out of the back of your mind.
@ecogurl97 Good for you! I'm 60,and I love it too!! :+) I like your attitude.You rock!
My favorite ride the first time I went when I was 3...and over 20 years later and I still like it dammit. :) (tho its not my favorite ;D)
Newlyweds should be made to watch this video to ensure they really want to have kids, for there is no darker day than being stuck on this ride as an adult.
How deep is the water in the ride? Really deep?
@ hamsters4ever, LOL go read Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson.. it really happens, in the book at least!
I went on this ride with my mom when I was little... My mom threw up afterwards. Hahahahahahaha!!
that's why it's probably not a bad idea to carry an ipod everywhere you go, especially if you're about to embark on it's a small world.
Holy hell! Did they have to take you off or did the ride start again?
6:30 the best part to get stuck in!
patlk Yes lyrebids of Hawaii
I saw this in 1964 (in New York)
omg! i know! i hated the ride, it feels like its going on for hours and after it, just casually walking around the park, you singing the blimin song!!
@cadge31 the same thing happened to my friend yesterday lol. She said she was about to jump out and start head choppin dolls.
aahhaa
yesss
i remember going on this when i was 7
me and my sister were so into having learned the song in girl scounts but it took the rest of the family a lot of convincing to go on
all i remember was the very ending my mother and older siblings started clapping cause it was finalyl over
Normally, how long is the line for this ride? I mean the one in the Magic Kingdon, not the one in Disneyland.
the first (and only time) I went on this ride, the ride broke down. Having the hear the same song over and over drove me nuts. I swear I was going to jump out and go on a doll destroying spree.
Stewie:It's a tiny, tiny, world!
It’s a small world is my favorite ride!, but i like the Paris soundtrack more than the worlds fair soundtrack
I dont get this video. Is it about different cultures or are the objects huge?
LOL how long did you have to wait
AAAAAH! I can't take it anymore! AAAAAAAAH! Make it stop! Make it stop! AAAAAAAAAAH! This nightmare ends now! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim! Nib Shuggarath Bahim!
I have rode this one and the one in Disneyland Paris and it feels like a musical in different languages. Strange?
Puppets spinning in circles for 10 minutes.

SuperMegnog yes
My friend go stuck in this ride during one of the times it's open til 3 a.m. she sang this song for like 6 weeks

Duff beer for me, Duff beer for you...
I loveee it, I want to go again :(
I refuse to go on this ride everytime my family and I go to Disney I'd rather go sit in the baking hot sun.
Anyone know if there are coins at the bottom of the water?
I went on this ride when I was hardly old enough to remember things, but I remember there were coins in the water, but when I tried to get them, my mom told me not to, and that the water was dirty. lol
