    I've been searching your channel and youtube for a video that talks about setting up your kayak. More specifically, if I hold the rod in my right hand, which directions should I be casting (front, left, right, diagnol), which side of kayak should I net the fish, which side of the boat should I have my anchor trolley etc.... Thanks Chad, you've been a big help in getting me started in kayak fishing and kayaking in general.

    If you anchor into the wind and the sun don’t you risk crossing your anchor line if you hook into a fish?

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  5 лет назад

      Steve Hlavka Yeap, but you run a LOT higher “risk” of hooking a fish....

    Chad,
    Great rundown those tips will come in handy this spring the only challenging part is having all the variables align.

    Also laying your paddle across your lap casts a shadow that spook fish

    never thought about it, just always fished into the sun and wore a hat. Kinda like gigging for flounder, you hang the lite off the nose of the boat.

    I'd really like to see what all that looks like on the water , can you do a video showing us what you mean by anchoring into the current , sun, and wind..I'm more of a visual learner lol

    I learned to cast with both hands too, but only because I'm too stupid to anchor well.

    This brings a very great question for my situation. Though I understand different situations will make this vary, what is your personal favorite position to mount an anchor wizard?

    Would've been so much better with an on water demo. I like the your wisdom but these in the garage videos and lack of hands on makes them hard to watch. On another note at least you're not bickering with your wife in this one.

      Joshua Allen thanks for the feedback.

      Joshua Allen I feel like there are a ton of people that benefit from the videos and information and when I don’t have the three days and ten hours of editing time available to shoot it all the best way possible (on the water), it’s still much more beneficial than not shooting them at all.
