When you went looking for Elsa I was like, "she's in Belize, silly!" until I realized you probably filmed this several days ago. Also the drone footage totally reminds me of flying around in Minecraft.

I have that axe and it's one of my favorite things that is always with me on any of my backpacking/camping trips. It's usually just myself and my two dogs, being a female, it's just one more piece of security. Plus it's just so darn handy.

I've watched most of your videos these last 2 years, ran into this gem and wouldn't mind a couple more Barron videos. Maybe even some more gear loadouts! Seeing him operate the drone also got me wanting to plug mine in again and do another test flight! Can't wait to see what next adventure lies ahead of you two!
I sometimes wear three hats in winter too. This was an interesting video! And the looking for Elsa part was funny and cute.

1) I use a Kindle Paperwhite just for reading. I used to be diehard books only, until I went on a mission trip to Colombia and Brazil, only brought one book to save space/weight and we we're going to be busy and with a large group. Then came the hours upon hours of delays-both directions.
As soon as I got back, I immediately started researching Kindles. I went with the Paperwhite because of the price at the time, the screen reads like paper-much easier on my eyes, and I too can highlight sections and take short notes too.
Also love having a whole library with me, and with just the Paperwhite-the battery lasts SO freaking long!
My brother has a paperwhite. They're far more comfortable to read on. A bit lighter than the iPads as well. The multipurpose functionality of the iPad still wins for me. A kindle would be nice to have tho!
@@24barron Yeah, I have my phone and regular tablet for that now.
I also literally have my Kindle with me everywhere I go. There have been a few times that I've been stuck or stranded and then I can read instead of wearing down my phone battery.

Heres an idea for a future show ! What is it like around the scamp and inside the scamp at night?? What do you use for lights, how do you power the lights? Do you use candles , or oil lamps? could a propane light be a possibility for winter camping seeing how it puts off heat. We all see day time stuff but what's it like around camp at night ? what do you do when the light of day is gone ?? or do you just go to bed when the sun sets like a farmer at the turn of the century when there was little electricity ?
2) My Galaxy tablet, I recently got an Bluetooth keyboard for it and DANG! Amazing! I had no idea what I was missing!

I have a small Apple Mini iPad II that looks exactly like yours as well. They’re so fun and practical to work with. Maybe bring some bear repellent or just carry a small blank starter shot gun with you against cougars or even wildcats, but only to scare them off, while your out trailing in the woods. Can you please make a video about what you would do if you saw a mountain lion or other animals near by?
Still not sure exactly how I would react. It's super situational. If I were walking and saw one, versus on a run or bike and got blindsided. From the videos of encounters I've seen on RUclips, they seem to walk up on people with a curious nature. Seems that the worst thing you can do is act fearful.

@@24barron not really, up to you for your own preference depending on the size pieces you cut. Probably the websize of a batminton net good for bundling large branches and small pieces lol get another shoelace and tie it to the straps of your backpack for easy packing. It's not difficult, they're super intuitive. Left stick goes up, down and turns on x-axis. Right stick goes left, right, forward back.

Love the channel! I'm always scoping bags for gear. Once I bought a tactical bag. It would have worked great, but I decided it was too much bag, so I returned it. B-U-T....I left my tiny cube camera in that bag!! $250 worth of gear! I rushed back to the store as soon as I realized my mistake. Fortunately, the bag was in a returns cart, with my gear inside of it!! Whew! That was close.

The information about the Mavic not being able to charge on USB was especially helpful. I flew my Spark into a mountain in South Korea recently, and it is un-recoverable. Thinking of replacing it with a Mavic Air. Do you know whether the Air is USB rechargeable?
