The live shows dwindled in numbers as our city has musically changed so much…everywhere for that matter.
It is sure a privilege to see your live music…
🎸👍
Thanks! Good for you, that you are playing, Yes, live music is gone so I post these videos to remind people what life used to be like. You can always leave me a tip on the link. I’m still banned from performing.

I just subscribed to your Patreon site.
I’d encourage others to consider this as well.
If we don’t support and appreciate what we have what do we end up with?
@@kerryfromaj9032 and thanks very much for the support. Helps immensely to keep me going.
It's not surf music, it's Dick Dale music. A real cool dude that didn't like rock stars, strung his guitar with wire coat hangers then turned it upside down and played it left handed with an attitude. RIP Dick Dale.
Xln't story. However Leo Fender specially built Dick a left handed gold strat. Dick strung it upside down and played it as if it were an upside down right handed guitar.
...YOUR THE GOD OF THE 6 STRINGS BROW..THAT WAS THE ABSOLUTE PHUCKING OFF THIS PLANET NUTS....YOU SMASHED IT MY FRIEND..YOU SMASHED IT GOOOOÒOOOOOOODD...HAIL THOSE FINGERS OF ROCK🤘...🙏
I've watched this so many times, MY fingers hurt! (Can only dream of playing) usually lightens up my day, gets me going, thanks again
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@shatnershairpiece I know that was a lot of "work" best version I've heard.
Tlk'n about bad azz, killer technique & my eyes were on 🔥 watch'n ur rendition. Earth shattering!
The fact that everyone is not stopped and prostrate listening is a practical crime. Pardon them, they know not what they do.
AMAAAZING MAN as ALWAYS
You are so inspiring!
Thanks. I wish you were on the street while I was playing.
I would say amazing more than inspirational. Great job. 👍
@@shatnershairpiece I wish I was on the street while you were playing too! Pulp Fiction is my all time favorite movie!
Great solos
Smolly Hokes! That’s Bone to the Bad!! Dude Rocks!!!!
Have watched a lot of your videos by now, but I just can't help myself going back to this particular one, at least once or twice per day. Un-freakin-believable. If I would be living in Canada, you would probably call the cops on me for being a stalker, lurking on the streets all day long. Keep up the fantastic work!
Fuckin` A! I could listen to this looped for an hour. Makes me want to go out raise hell. Great Job!
I’m always in awe of your immense talent and versatility!
Love your playing ...
Thanks!
Wow! What a smoking take of a classic song. Saved to my favorites so I can watch again and again.
Sound quality is great on that corner !!!Very talented .
Wow you nailed it so good, brilliant.
GAH DAM MAN, you're slaying that fret board!!! The hair on the back of my neck stood up a couple times during that shred fest!!!

Ha! Good one.
You sir are extremely talented..hello from calgary
Awesome tune and what a great rip, I am also a big Dick Dale fan growing up in LA as a kid in the sixties. I can't believe you don't have more adoring fans hanging out there with you. Keep it up. 😎👍
Big fan of the theme song, even bigger fan of your 3 takes on it. Awesome!
Thanks for sharing. Love Dick Dale. We saw him live at the Sellersville theater. What a powerful performance .
Music.......soul of the universe Glad this channel was found.
I revisit this whenever I need a guitar fix. Robin, you absolutely kill it! Dick Dale had the genius to see the popular potential of this tune, but you raise it to a tour de force guitar performance. And you do it on a sidewalk-bloody well amazing!
glad you enjoy!
If Dick Dale and Joe Satriani had a child together...
..😂😂😂😂..✌
I was thinking about Dick Dale
YES!!!!!
Carlos Santana actually.
😂
This had my heart racing. Spectacular playing. I feel sorry for anyone who could possibly 'dislike' this or walk past without stopping.
That's not great. That's extraordinary! Fantastic. Shame that you get the apathy from those who actually have the opportunity to hear / see you live. If it sounds fantastic on RUclips, then it must be 10 fold for real. Great work!👏👏👏👏👏

THIS. IS. AMAZING. had to share with all my homies, keep killing it!!!
Dude could restart a dead planet with those fingers 😃
Early morning Jamming with Robin.
Next trip is Vancouver once we cool down this apocalypse virus....ill stand there for an hour and listen to your awesome playing.
I'm blown away that people are not tipping .... Amazing work my friend!
People passing by barely apying attention is beyond me, this society is so off, i'll be jamming my ass on the street, no worries in the world and fuck those laughing, live the instant, kudos to giutarman from Fr
I'm so impressed that I keep coming back to this one tonight! Ha ha! Every time I come to your channel, Robin, I get trapped here for hours. I'm taking you on the road tomorrow with my daughter. She'll love you! She has amazing taste in music!
Glad you enjoy it!
Cheers, from Quebec, awesome. This is talent!!!
Absolutely monster guitar playing. Everyone on the street should have been frozen in awe.
If every person walking by gave him a dollar,he could call it a short day.
Sir, you are a machine!!!! This video alone should guarantee you a place on The Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame
Some miserable, apathetic people on that street who simply take a talent like this for granted.
Yep!🤔🙄
My thoughts EXACTLY!
yes think most people would not stop to listen or put anything in any talented musicians tin because their stuck in their own mundane selfish life's it's allways been this way witnessed it many times and allways think how can they be like this
We should all get together for a field trip and dance the street together with this amazing guitar dude
Thats Vancouver for you.
I thank the algorithm for bringing me to your channel! This has been a great night, thank you.
I have witnessed a simply impossible card trick, and no idea how it's done, I suspect that you have some major secret as well, because "my headache's gone!"
The amount of music theory and technique you know is massive
thanks. I actually don’t know a lot of theory. i’m more of a feel player.
Killed it!
Found a great new channel and now I have a valid reason to visit Vancouver. :-).. Fantastic.
Imagine 80,000 at a stadium gig... You'd take the roof off.
This guy is so frickin good
Nice job, I love Dick Dales wild guitar and you did it great justice.
Struth! Had to watch it twice in a row. 👍
Simply ferocious. Best busking I ever heard. Hope to see you in Victoria sometime.
The camera is awsome. Makes you look like you are moving forward and background while the background remains the same really cool. Your so much.like Bonamassa just a great show.
Holy crap! Great performance mate! You could and should be up on major stages around the world playing your heart out to the masses. Totally awesome.
Wow man every lick I hear you crank out is awsome. I think you deserve a massive stage and about 100,000 screaming fans!

Well buddy, if ever the time comes when we can TRAVEL again (??!!) - come to Amsterdam and play for us. We Dutch cheeseheads know a mean guitar player when we hear one. You make that thing sing.
you got it. I love Amsterdam. It was my first European stop when I left Vancouver in 1991 with one way ticket and cycled Europe for six months. didn’t come back to Canada for two years.
@@shatnershairpiece Oh man, you lift up my spirits. This is what we need to see us through these dark days.
Just found this...incredible playing. As stated how can so many people just walk by without looking or stopping for just a few seconds to like this...amazing guitar work. TOTAL respect for you!! Thank you for sharing. BTW I live in Los Cabos Mexico, if you ever came here to play I can tell you a bigger crowd of people would love to see you play. Saludos!
Thanks so much!
Shout out from Boston here. You need liquid cooling on that guitar. You're gonna start a fire 🔥 🎸. Great playing 👍. I think I saw your guitar glowing at the end !
This is some of the finest guitar playing I've ever seen. Bravo.
If I saw this on the street, I’d bring you a five dollar milkshake!
Five dollars? And it doesn't have bourbon in it?
@@UncleLoodis underrated comment ;D

As usual you are awesome. Your right up there with Jimmy Page,Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana. Rock on Robin.

Wow!!

Pulp Fiction, one of my all time top 5 movies, love the soundtrack, and to see this jam on guitar 🎸 🎶

One of the best channels on youtube - instantly gratifying.
thanks! I had no viewers for last 15 years until 3 weeks ago after dancing kid zz top video went viral.
I can play this good........then I woke up.
lol! I didn’t play guitar for almost a year last because of all this bs going on. In the last four months of that year I started to dream about playing guitar every night until I could no longer deny it and I had to start playing again.
@@shatnershairpiece -Keep it going. A veritable street Concert, by Any definition. You are very talented and it would be a loss to the world for you to go silent.
Those people walking past are not shutting you out. They are being penetrated completely through by your style. They only appear to be ignoring. Sound waves you are emitting, frequencies beyond the capability of the human ear, permeate every living cell in their bodies, accumulating in the Soul. You, sir, are like a mega storage battery, blessed with the gift of shear musical power, to feed a silence starving world ;}
I made a post halfway through the video I made a comment. I finished watching the video, he is ridiculous. The man has a gift. Outstanding job !

whoa! :-0. damn that is some mighty fine playing.
WRT the apathetic public - this is a two fold problem.
1) in today's world most ppl are too wrapped up in themselves and their own lives to even look up or look around them.
consequently they will not recognise some thing outstanding / extraordinary even when it's right in front of them
2) a similar thing happened when classical violinist , joshua bell (whom I personally do not rate as top tier) payed the washington subway - no one noticed nor gave a damn
I am very impressed and enjoyed this performance so much! I wish I was back in Van just to watch you play!
He's as good as any player. When you play at that level how can one say who is better than who? Just a matter of taste.
The greatest comment I've ever read on any social platform, thank you B H , for stating what nobody ever says , gets or understands !!!!
