I been doing wooden crafts at shows for the past few years every show and crowd is different. My goal is to start the year and get my investment back quickly after that it is all for fun. Focus on craft shows and not the flea markets. I enjoyed your video and good luck.

I was going back through my videos and thought I should comment back to you now that I have completed a second sale day. The atmosphere was very different (an Oktoberfest vs. this Yard Sale) and I was pleasantly surprised at the difference. Basically, I had an audience more interested in what I was offering. I will take your good advice and absolutely do more craft shows and likely avoid flea markets/yard sales. Thanks!

I really appreciate this video. I'm also about to dip my toes in the water and there are some things I haven't thought of that you mentioned. So thanks

Thanks for the comment and I'm glad this was helpful!
I think we all fear some part of any new venture (in this case maybe that people won't like the products or appreciate your work or that you won't make money) but in the end I think you have to push through to even find out and not let fear win.
Everyone has heard the Chinese proverb "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Take those first steps and see what happens. Good luck!

I might suggest a full color larger 3x5 poster sign placed on a easel. This is something you can design and print on a computer then take to a local printer to have enlarged to a poster board. Also some basic inexpensive business cards will help. When giving out business cards always give, one for the person and on for them to share.

Thanks for the feedback. I did get some business cards but held off on the poster board at this point. Makes sense to get some signage going forward for sure.

I get it from Frederick Lumber in Frederick, Maryland. Great folks, large selection.

    So how did you do?

The quick answer regarding sales numbers is "just about as I thought I would." The more complete answer appears at the end of the video and includes some of the other things I was considering. Thanks for watching!

I sent you a message through the email address on your channel. Was it correct? Did you get a email from me?

I did not actually - and I checked my spam folder too. The correct email address is under my profile for this RUclips account. Please send there!
