I can't say how happy I am for Vietnam if we could have seen the future back in the 1960's we would have never believed it. Too bad we all had to go through that awful war, congratulations I am so impressed. Best wishes. The Car looks beautiful.
Vinfast could have easily selected Chinese auto manufacturing equipment but they chose European and German instead, including European consultant and implementation companies as well. They seem to invest their money and faith in quality suppliers to support their foray into European and North American market with their electric cars. I hope their faith pays off and we customers have more high quality EVs alternatives to the existing players. I don't like to spend $50 - $70K on cars that I have to run my fingers to check for panel gaps when I come to pick up my brand new car, phantom brake and glitchy software not to mention a company that don't take quality problem seriously for the last 8 years.
There is no “nationality - quality” correlation anymore. It’s 2022. Chinese companies have been buying up German companies for decades already. What you think is German, could be American, or Chinese. Look at KUKA for example…… China always wins and will the the worlds largest economy by 2028. Learn mandarin I would say.

@@Krasnoye158 Yes he is saying Tesla. Vinfast got to prove to the world that they are worthy to charge so much for a car with unknown origins. Tesla proved it’s worth by technology, no other automaker has as much range compared to Tesla. Last time I checked Vinfast Is charging around 40k to 50k for their cars. If I am paying this sort of money, just as well buy from existing OEMs since Tesla is way out to lunch with their price now.

Ask Vietnamese customers in VIetnam. Vinfast wants to put customers in jail for complaining about their vehicles. Shit company. They do not produce their own engine or car chassis. Vinfast bought the battery and motor from China. They are just an assembly line.

Communist VN can't produce a simple screw for Samsung's phone. Vinfast is just an assembly line company. Do you know where the battery and motor are from? China. They can't even design their own chassis.

Very modern auto factory , nice designs , now the only question is can Vinfast compete with Chinese factories (Tesla and BYD/Nio/Xiaopeng/Wuling ....) ? Let's keep watching .

@@johnbrookhaven7134 How easy ? Tesla-China factory sold more than 50000 pcs per month in China, not to mention in US / EU. BYD sold more than 130000 pcs per month in China ! How many Vinfast sold whole year in homeland Vietnam ? Vinfast battery cells import from China. Can it producing battery cell ? Using real data to discussing with other people, will be more convincing .
Time will tell. But I think there's will be no winners. Each firm will have its market share. In the long run, those are out of money will quit.

After 8 years or more than 100K miles, EV battery degradation to below 70%, leads to the battery significantly losing its power. Tesla $23,000 bill to replace the battery is insane, and each Tesla $1,500 service charge is beyond ridiculous.
Customers dont actually own a Vinfast battery for their car . So when it come to below 70% they dont have to pay anything to change a new one .
@@milokhanh313 It's wonderful, isn't it? I've heard a couple in California, husband and wife were asked to pay about $45,000 (plus taxes) to replace their 2 Tesla batteries after 8 years. The saddest thing was no payment plan available!!!! Somebody's greed is beyond imagination. With the battery leasing program, a VinFast car driver will never have to worry about the $23,000 bill to replace the battery, and all VinFast batteries will be appropriately recycled to safely protect the environment. Surprisingly, after the federal tax credits for EVs, VinFast VF8 costs only about $32,000, which is unbelievably cheap for a 5 seater electric SUV, and the 7 seater electric SUV VF9 is probably about $46,000 after the tax credits. Best of all, VinFast offers a limited warranty coverage of 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, and this is the longest warranty coverage done by an EV maker. All of these truly set VinFast apart from other EV manufacturers including Tesla.

There are independent shops now doing partial repairs (dead cells) on Tesla batteries at a much lower cost…. Where there’s a will, there’s a way… great to see entrepreneurs taking on this challenge…

HEADS UP... Vin-fast may need to add an extra feature to the vehicle that it didn't think of. If you stick a blow dryer that's plugged in & turned on into a tub full of water, the person in it will be electrocuted. If an electrical product goes through floodwaters and still has water, it could catch on fire, or even worse, explode. Solution: If the blow dryer that's turned on is in a Tupperware container vented on top, it wouldn't be touching the tub water, & therefore wouldn't be an electrical hazard. In other words, the electrical vehicle needs to be waterproof. You may want to add the extra feature, being that the vehicle will be bought in areas that flood.
Don't you think that every auto manufacturer would have thought of this by now, considering cars are not a new concept and neither is rain?

The video should be streamlined to show the simple process from raw materials to the finished product in a logical order. The car looks good, but the video is too long and confusing (nobody has the patience to watch the whole 6.5 minutes commercial). Some of the robot movements are repeated many times...

I just came back from Vietnam and I was truly surprised at the number of VinFast cars on the road there, especially in the North, provided that VinFast just started selling cars 4 years ago, or less. Remember Tesla backed by wall street took more than a decade to make a profit so no matter what the Vietnamese government will subsidized Vinfast until it it's profitable.
@@markn6941 VinFast actually gets no support from the Vietnamese government, unlike other companies in Asia that get full support from their governments (China, for example). But VinFast sees the potential, especially being the first EV company in Vietnam to start an "evolution", so to speak, to change the worsening environment that country is facing due to pollution and to do it without requiring a profit for a long while. Once the goal has been set, they are willing to take a loss but by going global, that loss will be lessened as the more cars they sell, the more profit they can bring in to subsidize the cost of electrifying the autos in VN. And in time, they will dominate that industry in VN and become profitable. Tesla took 10 years because they were the first but other EV companies won't have to be having the same fate..
